Love these small touches.. they really make the room! Their interior designer did a great job!

Debated if I should leave a review only because I wanted to keep this place a secret from everyone haha. However, the staff and rooms exceeded my expectations & have to commend them on their service! Pros: Rooms are super clean & modern, bed are comfortable, love their pool and jacuzzi, have grills outside for bbq & accommodate dogs. Con: wish they had more to offer for breakfast, but they do says it's continental so can't complain much lol. Overall, LOVE THIS PLACE and will come back here again!

This is a very simple hotel/motel but it's not tacky or dirty whatsoever. We went on a LivingSocial deal and when we arrived we were greeted by the super friendly front desk staff and promptly given the keys to our room. It was a really quick process because we all know how it can be at the front desk and they have you sign paper after paper after paper and then take forever to load your electronic keys. Part of the LivingSocial was a bottle of local wine which was quite good, cookies, and several coupons to try the local vineyards and artisans. No sooner than when we got there, we literally tossed our bags in the room and headed out to some of the wineries before they closed. This place is a short driving distance to quite a few places and not too far from Chelan. There is a casino a short way down the street as well. I found the bed quite comfortable after a long day of gallivanting around and sipping and eating cheese and having a nice dinner of Asian food at Bamboo Shoot in Chelan. There is a decently sized TV and a refrigerator just in case you need to store or chill some things before heading out again. On warmer days they have a huge outdoor fireplace/fire pit/barbeque area. It was really amazing and there appeared to be a large amount of grass just in case you need to walk your pets. I don't know if there are pet friendly but I'm sure someone at the front desk would be happy to answer your question or you might be able to see it on the website. When we woke up in the morning, there is a little café just across the parking lot that is just super cool to just be within in walking distance. The food and drinks were also very good. There is a pool too just in case you need to keep your kids occupied. The area seems very safe too. Obviously the Chelan area has a lot more to offer than just wineries but it's a great place to start and this lodge is a great place to stay while doing whatever you're doing in the area. Have fun!

So over priced. Outside doors, two stories with no elevator. Their idea of breakfast is an apple, cookie and coffee which is not served until after 7 am. Room is very dark and you can't open the blinds cause they open to the outside and people can see right in. No privacy. Red colored wash clothes, really??? It has four pages of rules. They told you what you couldn't do instead if what u could do. Could not get a copy of my bill the night before I checked out as I was leaving before 7 am and the front desk does not open until 7 am. So disappointed for the price I paid. Will never stay there again. Rooms need updating.

Every year, we come to Chelan for a week in July. Last year (2013) we came to town early for a wedding and stayed at Mountain View for 2 nights. I love the Mountain View! Upon arrival there was a chalk board outside our room that said "welcome Erica, enjoy your stay". Nice touch! The rooms may be a tad outdated (not horrible!) but they are very clean!! The best part about the Mountain View, is the BBQ area and pool outside! It's nice to have the luxury of cooking your own meals when away from home! We got some turkey burgers at the local red apple and brought them back to grill! The MV supplies you with all the grilling tools you may need! It's nice to be so close to everything too! Plenty of wineries, restaurants and grocery store all in walking distance! We decided the extra 2 days was the way to extend our Chelan vacation, and booked a room for Fri-Sat night this year as well. Unfortunately we found out a week before our trip that our beloved dog had Cancer and not much time to live. With only 3 days notice, I called the MV and told them I had to cancel the reservation. They told me that I forfeit my deposit ($189) because of their strict cancellation policy during peak season. I understood, but asked that they let us come another time instead due to the sad circumstances. I got an email from the manager, and she sympathized with my situation of losing my beloved pet. She gave me a voucher to come stay within 6 months. That won me over! I was beside myself that she was so sympathetic and did that for me! I love the Mountain View and will always stay there!!!! Amazing management and a great place to stay!!!!

This hotel is in Manson which is right outside of Chelan and a good spot as well for swimming and food. At first when we arrived there were no cars in the parking lot and I was thinking uh oh what did I just book. We walked into the lobby and it was empty as well and I didn't know the hotel wants you to check in using your phone. I was able to check in and get a PIN code to unlock our room. The room was clean , had a kitchenette and pretty spacious for a hotel room. They do have a pool, hot tub and pickleball court. They do not have breakfast or coffee in the lobby. But this hotel is so affordable compared to others in the area and I was pleasantly surprised on how clean and new everything was.

First off, contact less check-in is great. No standing in line. They email you door code and you're in. Awesome. This building is new so it should be nice but it's more than that. The nautical decor is cute. The rooms are HUGE. I had to max zoom out on my phone camera to capture it all. Every amenity you'd want. Mini friedge, empty for you to use. Keurig machine not just generic coffee maker. Deep tub combo shower, rare these days. Huge bathroom. Cieling fan. Tall ceiling. Immaculate and clean. Hot water, decent shower pressure. This is like a four star hotel room at two star prices. Very competitive pricing. This is my second stay and for Lake Chelan area my go to hotel. Don't change a thing.

One bedroom had both a bunkbed and a queen size bed. In addition, there was a pullout sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen had all the necessities we needed. In fact, I could have baked something if I knew baking ware was included. And all of the cooking pans, tools and other kitchen amenities were of quality. No scratches on the pans as I normally see in other places we have rented. The view was stunning as it was the water and mountain that took the view. Not even a 5 minute walk, there are a bunch of bars/wineries and food options to peruse. And about 20-30 minutes drive in/out are the larger, fancier wineries. There was also a casino in the area as well. The price tag is a bit on the higher end but is doable for bigger groups so as to split the cost. I would certainly recommend this place and would love to return. Communication between the property manager and I were prompt, which I appreciate very much.

The kitchen had all the necessary utensils, plates, cups, pots, and pans. In one of the mornings, we even made pancakes! Bathrooms were large enough which was nice especially in a large group. Red Apples was about 10 min away. Beware though, if you're hungry in the middle of the night, make sure to stock up in the fridge because their grocery stores are not 24-hours like in Seattle. Fortunately, I brought enough beef jerkeys. We didn't have time to explore Downtown Mason, but that was only two blocks away. Boat and other water activities rentals were also two blocks away which was great! We rented a boat and went on a winery tour in Chelan. Downtown Chelan was about 30 minutes away from where we stayed at, but the drive wasn't too bad. You do need to take out the trash and put in a load into the laundry machine before you leave though. I think that's normal if you're renting for a few days. The only downside was the noise upstair. There was another bachelorette party above us so I was able to hear them in the middle of the night whilst I was trying to sleep. However, the noise wasn't too bad since the other gals in my group slept quite well. I was just a light sleeper. Debbie, our main source of contact was very professional. We were able to check in early. Tracey, I think that was her name, was very helpful as well. Our code to get into our place didn't work so we had to get another code. Tracey, who was there when we arrived, made sure that we had a code that worked. But other than that, I would definitely come again with my family. If only they accept small dogs. I would definitely bring my Maltese if they allow it. :)

My family has a small house in Chelan Falls, but a pipe burst so we needed a place to stay for a wedding. I found this place on VRBO which was perfect for my fiancé, sister, brother in law, two nieces under 2 years old, and myself. Come Monday morning I woke up at 6am and checked my personal emails. I was notified that I'd be charged $500 because they found a pet toy and animal hair in our unit which was against their policy. I was in disbelief and thought that they had to have had the wrong room - this was clearly a mistake. Neither my sister or I own a dog. I'm actually allergic. Out of all of the VRBO and Airbnb options why would I, and IF I owned a dog, decide to stay in a place that didn't allow them and risk a $500 fee? There are places to stay cheaper than that. Right away I called the front desk number and was furious asking what happened. They ended up hanging up on me. It took me 3 days to reach a Supervisor, Ellie, and 4 days to reach Jonathan (the Manager). Since I wasn't getting any answers I filed for fraud on my credit card, and let management know that I filed and will not be paying the fee regardless. I requested copies of the photos and finally 8 days later received them. The dog toy was one of my fiancés brand new tennis balls that he brought in for the girls to play with, and the dog hair "everywhere" in the apartment was my fiancés hair located on the pillows and head area of the bed. To top of off management said someone tried to get a hold of me that Monday to inform me, which was total BS because I called the front desk line between 6-7am and by that time the $500 charge was pending. When I get my new CC I will need to still deal with this and update payment on multiple accounts. Oh and to top it off the hide a bed has yellow stains on the white sheets. Unit 626 for those wondering. My sister did not want to complain because overall they seemed clean and it was only a stain. I brought this up to Ellie, the Supervisor, to which I kid you not she replied "Yes, I've heard that before". Then do something about it! I then grew concerned that the stain was from previous people and they had a dog that peed on the sheets. No one has apologized for the assumptions targeted towards me and resulted in 4 days of follow up with ongoing issues to get my new CC setup.. No one has offered to make this right. The fingers get pointed in different directions. There needs to be liability by the owner of the condo for stained sheets and management for wrongful accusations. To make it more complicated they hire a 3rd party company to do inspections. So at this point you have the condo owner, VRBO, management at the Grandview, Windermere, their third party inspection company, and third party customer service line. WTF - no wonder no one is holding any accountability. The scary thing is, is that this can happen to anyone, and it makes me wonder how many times they've gotten away with this behavior? Based on these reviews, ample amount of times. Never staying here again, and I caution you to take images of everything if you do in order to protect yourself.

Upon arrival, we went up to park, after hours, and were rudely lectured by a staff member that where we were parking we weren't allowed. I am so thankful that my husband was nearby in the truck because had I been approached the way I was by the staff member in the parking lot I would fear for an extreme safety issue. There was ZERO parking, anywhere near the facility, we had to park a mile away and hike in (middle of the night, pouring rain out). We went to find closer parking throughout next day and still there was nothing closer. The staff at the facility was not helpful and extremely rude about the parking, with no empathy that it was completely pouring rain and guests having to walk GREAT lengths just to get to their rooms. It notes that parking is tight and most units allowed 1 car maximum well this wasn't the case, there was 0 parking anywhere even along the street and across the street were completely full! We called the 509-682-2582 provided to speak to someone regarding our concerns and ask about cancelling the rest of the trip we were, again, rudely spoken to about our reservations, this time was about us making the reservations through a third-party (VRBO) and that they couldn't help with our stay. But all the paperwork I have is from Grandviewonthelake (their website) not VRBO - I thought that I made the reservation through their website. At the end of the first day we opted to just get a different hotel that had parking for their guests and staff that were friendly and accommodating. I would not EVER recommend this hotel to anyone nor Windermere Vacation rentals to just add to the terrible guest experience.
