The family suite room was larger than expected, great pillows, super clean, large tv's. Balcony looks over a small parking lot & directly onto the state park/lake Chelan. Another nice surprise was the "continental breakfast" actually turned out to be a full breakfast. Our stay was Memorial Day weekend, the room cost was $490 per night. The hotel became very crowded quickly, the parking lot was overfull, the breakfast lounge had consistent lines with food/drinks running out ongoing rotation. The main bedroom sits directly against the outside walkway so you hear a lot of noise, if you open the window blinds everybody who walks by can look in & the AC unit cooled the room well but was obnoxiously noisy to run. The location is too far outside the town of Chelan which makes it a long unpleasant walk in the heat. I would still recommend this hotel, ideally not during such a busy weekend. read more

Pit stop before we made our way to spend a weekend getaway in Winthrop, WA. Not a bad stop! I've never been to Lake Chelan, so, thought I'd give this quaint town a visit! The lodge has an older, rustic feel to it. Location is nice as it kinda sit right on the lake; literally 10 steps and your feet are rubbing against the sharp, jagged, not so soft sand. However, the warmth and clearness of the water does make up for it. Upon arrival, check-in was a breeze. They do require you to mask up before entering the office. Our room was clean, no complaints. The view of the lake and the pool was spectacular, I'm sure my husband did not mind the pool view lol. Breakfast was grab-n-go as we are living in the pandemic. Check-out was also a breeze. During our stay here, we got Mexican foods like fifteen times!! From the taco truck to a sit down Mexican joint, all was finger licking good! Felt as if I was in Mexico for a sec. Price to stay here is reasonable. Of course it's not your 5-star resort in Vegas, it is exceptional for a family of 5 to stay here. Check it out guys!! read more

We loved this place! While not truly a five-star hotel/motel, & sure, some of the furniture is dated, there are so many things that were wonderful! First of all, we got a suite which had an actual door that closed between the bedroom and the living area! That's important to us for various reasons. The bedroom was huge, the king bed was comfy and had lots of extra pillows. Plenty of space to put your clothing away, whether it be in a drawer or in the closet; by the way there was an ironing board and iron in there -IF one wanted to iron while on vacation, which I certainly did not! ;) The kitchenette had everything we needed, including a china set with four each of the dinner plates, bread plates, and small bowls. There were also four each: forks knives and spoons, along with a wine opener and a can opener. Next time I think we will bring along a couple of serving spoons, and perhaps some tongs. And maybe a roll of paper towels. Other than that, there wasn't anything else we needed in the kitchenette. The bathroom was clean, the towels were okay, nothing too fancy or fluffy; --there was one washcloth which was stained and I just threw it on the floor. *Note to manager they should toss anything like that. The pools and hot tubs are great, but the towels at poolside are rather small and thin. Barely larger than hand towels. Next time we will plan to bring along a couple of beach towels specifically to bring to the pool. Couple of nice things as to the room were the black-out curtains which worked great, and there was a clothesline in the bathtub which came in handy for drying our swimsuits. Nice & powerful hair dryer! (It would be nice if shower caps were supplied.) -There was a notice about the ongoing problem they are having in the general Chelan area with gnats. We saw a few in our room, but nothing that overly bothered us. However, there are a number of cobwebs in the upper ceiling areas (they have VERY high ceilings so it really didn't bother us). Turns out though, that the cobwebs are useful as gnat catchers! So the cobwebs actually look black but that's because there's a bunch of dead gnats in them. Kind of gross if you focus on them, but if you can ignore them, I think they should be left there because they are useful! There's an ice machine plus 2 vending machines, 1 with snacks, 1 with sodas. (20oz bottles for $1.75.) Beautiful grounds with lots of flowers & the lake right across the street! By the way, our suite, #405, had a large deck with a wonderful view of the lake! Second time to stay at this resort and we still love it. We went pre-Covid on a sunny April weekend and we just recently went back. This place is unbeatable in value, location, amenities, and customer service. The rooms are spacious, and the balcony rooms look out to the lake and the mountains. No they're not swanky, but who needs swanky and cold when one can have cozy and homey and warm combined with the great wraparound views outside your window? They are the only place that come up when you add 'pet friendly' to your filters when you search for accommodations in Lake Chelan. Price is unbeatable, too. They used to have a great buffet breakfast spread Included with the stay, and during Covid times their staff prepare pretty filling grab and go bags. Thus far stay is great! Excellent customer service at the front desk upon check in. The grounds are kept very clean. Rooms are spacious with great views of the lake. Suites are nice with kitchenette. Beds are comfortable. No gnat problem in our room but read other reviews on them. I appreciate being able to bring our dog too. Breakfast needs some work here. We've stayed at several hotels since COVID-19 rules have been put in place. Breakfast here consists of water, apple, banana bread, crackers and bar. Other hotels we've been at since COVID-19 also offer hard boiled eggs, yogurt and a hot item, all package as a grab and go. Those are easy breakfast ideas and items that do not take much prep work. Hoping the hotels changes up their breakfast as it makes a big difference in the morning. Especially when we are paying $320 nightly rate. rate plus tax. read more

I don't understand the low reviews. We had a delightful stay here last week. The front desk was very nice and got me checked in quickly. They even had cookies :-) The room was clean and overlooked the beautiful lake. My room was in between both pools which made it super convenient. They provided a roll away for about $15, that bed has to be from 1972 or something because it was all springs. Breakfast had some good fresh made omelettes, and scones. They had the usual's cereal, oatmeal, waffles, bagels and more. My only regret is that I didn't get here earlier or book an extra day to enjoy this hotel and its location longer. The only con is the roll away and that some guest arrived at between 10-11 pm that night and spoke very loudly and for quite awhile. That was very annoying. read more

Gross. We chose Lakeside Lodge to celebrate my birthday. Here's 5 reasons why you should avoid staying here. 1. COVID distancing and mask rules not encouraged in the only dining area. 2. Bugs in the room. Thousands of bugs. Management made all kinds of excuses for the bugs and eventually sent some one to vacuum them up. However, the poor housekeeper was 3 feet tall with a vacuum from 1975 that only reached a foot high. I ended up climbing on furniture to clean the room. Ridiculous! 3. No parking. We had to park offsite and walk in the dark due to too many untagged vehicles using the lodge parking. 4. My view.. the gardener peeing in a bush right outside my balcony at 9 am. There was a public restroom 50 feet away! 5. Moldy and dirty room. I'm hoping my friend is successful with a refund! read more

Key Tip: Book your summer stays during Winterfest (This year it will be in mid-January 2020)! The discounts are TOO GOOD to pass up, we were so glad that we planned in advance! My friends and I stayed here for the weekend and could not be more pleased with the 5-star customer service and hospitality of the Lakeside Lodge and Suites staff. I learned while talking to the people at the front desk that one of the rules they abide by is that if someone replies "No" to the question, "Will you please hold?" on a phone call with their staff, the employees will politely stay on the phone and take care of that customer - even if there is a line in the lobby. We did not experience this while interacting with the staff, but I was impressed by their willingness to take time to answer questions at the convenience of their guests instead of the employees. My all-time favorite part of the experience here was when I went out to a grill on the patio to make some burgers, totally under-prepared with utensils. One of the Lakeside staff saw me trying to figure out how to light the grill and came over to help. Not only did he help me out, but he also brought over all of their grilling tools as a complimentary service to give us the best experience with their amenities. Had a wonderful stay here for Father's Day weekend. Rooms were spacious and clean. Our room had a lovely view of the lake and place was overall kept well. I didn't expect much from a 3 star hotel and prices were very reasonable so this exceeded mu expectations. Parking was free, complimentary breakfast consist of a to go bag of muffin, nutrigrain bar, apple, bottled water, and crackers, perfect to take to the beach to snack on. The location itself makes it worth staying at since it s just right across from the park/lake/beach/playground. read more

The room was pleasant and huge so that was a plus. But here's an issue we experienced that could have been resolved with either an apology or just an actual phone call back after I left a few messages. After an hour an a half into our stay we had another family try to access our room. They had keys that worked and were only stopped by me initiating the physical interior lock. Regardless, the other family didn't know people were in the room so they tried pretty hard to gain access still. That was a little freaky for me as I'm just on the bed in my underwear watching Real Housewives of New York and felt pretty vulnerable, lol. I opened the door and talked to the family and they were great. They were just as freaked out as I was and we both said we'd just talk to the front office. I called the office several times but got no response so I left a voice message. About half an hour later I got a call; however, they only were calling to confirm my identity. The person calling demanded my last name and once given they tried to end the call. I asked them what it was about and did this have to do with giving my room keys out to other people. They said yes and that they have it fixed. Notice I haven't received an apology yet. The closest we got was them telling me that "it's not policy to give out room keys to other guests" - okay, cool... Anyway, after our stay I contacted the GM. I only got his voice message system so I left a message explaining what happened. I made the mistake of saying he can contact me if he wants to discuss it when I should have just said, yo - you need to call me back. Needless to say, no return phone call. A week or so passes and I call the main line to ask what's up and they tell me that they will pass a note to the GM to call me and that they are short staffed with management at the time. The guy on the phone at this point was super pleasant and actually apologized immediately upon hearing my issue. It's been another week or so now and still no contact from anyone. It bothers me because I feel that the front desk person dismissed my concern and to me that means it's not a big enough issue for them to learn from. Aside from this issue, the room was pleasant, the location was great, and I liked everything else about the trip. I'd likely give a four star rating, if not more, but the lack of response to what I consider to be a big deal, really left a sour taste in my mouth. read more

Luckily, the front desk clerk Alisha was super accommodating and helped up get into a room promptly. Chelan slows down significantly in September, making it a great time for our visit. Lakeside Suites was a lovely spot for our stay. Our ground-level room was near the pool and hot tub, which wouldn't work for everyone but was great for us. The room had the basics, plus a nice outdoor seating area, and convenient parking. Breakfast was ok, not special- tho we liked the view of the lake from the upstairs breakfast room. Sometimes we happen upon places and really luck out. This is one of those places. My friend and I, and our two kids, rented an Airbnb, for spring break. We were super stoked to have a pool and hot tub lake side at an affordable rate. Upon arrival to the booked Airbnb we were told the pool and hot tub were not in service. What? Thankfully we were given a full refund and found ourselves at Lakeside. The front desk staff was very helpful and found us a room right away - and for a great rate (cheaper than the other rental). A queen suite on the bottom floor with a little patio... overlooking the lake. The room was only a few doors down from the indoor hot tub and pool and a stones throw from the outdoor pool and hot tub. The moms were in hot tub, relaxation heaven and the kids were super happy about the pool. Win-win! The pool room was nice and warm, the pool was clean, and there were plenty of towels. The hot tub was just what we needed to unwind after long days around town. The staff was great... we had an inflatable unicorn that they blew up for us! There is a complimentary breakfast that didn't disappoint. Great views of the lake from the dining room. Also on the property were gas grills for the guests to use... and we did. One of the grills was right outside our room. Easy peasy way to cook and dine al fresco! Check out was a breeze. They easily split the bill between us. Lovely spot on the Lake. Tons of flowers all over the grounds, very pretty. We got a Handicapped room. There was disabled parking space right in front of our room, worked great for me. Room was spacious and clean with small kitchenette area. We had two Queen beds, fridge, sink, pod coffee maker, and sliding glass doors leading to a nice patio with view of lake. There is no restaurant in the hotel (and seemingly not in any of the hotels in the area! Strange..)-- but there is a breakfast room. They served the standard powdered scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, waffles. Nice breakfast and the room itself had a wonderful view, very pretty. My only real complaint: the indoor pool. It had some damage, rust, and floor surrounding pool was very dirty. Also the pool was very cold! i dipped my toe in, did not like the cold water and the dirty area, so left. Lake Chelan is a very beautiful place.. but lacking in so much. Aside from one super restaurant in a winery, the only restaurants are Mom & Pop hole in the walls. All the eateries close at 8pm. Both Manson and Chelan had small town main streets, but not very festive. I like resort areas with Kite shops, Shrimp Shacks, Tee shirt and ice cream shops... none of that here at all. read more

When I checked in, the office agent was far more engaged with a phone call on his headset than giving me his full attention -- just setting papers in front of me to sign and handing me my key card and parking permit. When he did finally finish his call, to explain to me the site map and where my room was, he told me he was talking to his MANAGER! Dude, it's just courtesy. Neither you nor your manager should be talking with others on a phone when there is a guest checking in. (-1 star) I came here staying for a night on my way to Holden Village. I was one of three people on my floor and had a phenomenal view of Lake Chelan from the top floor balcony of my room. The facility is clean, attractive, and comfortable. (+1 star) The breakfast was adequate, not fantastic. Functional scrambled eggs and burnt breakfast sausage, plus an array of grains and few pastries. No fresh fruit. (-1 star) Pro tip: in the off season, stop by the grocery store to pick up some grub for night snacks and breakfast. The kitchenette is your friend. read more

The hotel doesn't have great amenities and a laughable breakfast. We tried to book a room at the local rate and apparently they don't that any more as of a few days ago. Seems like a step backwards to supporting local residents. They also lied about room availability, stopped by twice in a day and there were no rooms available, when I brought my spouse in (who is white, I'm not) they all of the sudden have rooms available. If you are a local, go support a business that supports your local community. Do not book Lakeside. The rooms are also average and nothing really special for the cost. read more

If we paid $100 a night I'd be giving a higher rating but we paid way more than we typically do ($340/night) and the quality just doesn't match up. The amenities in the room were minimal and were not replenished after room cleaning. We asked for a shower cap and they didn't even have that! The shower head had very low pressure and tub had not been cleaned. Pool is small and crowded. Parking lot is also limited, the first night we had to park in the parking lot on the other side of the hotel and walk over. The few pluses: Room is spacious and beds are comfortable. On a whim, on a Friday morning, I decided I needed to get out of town and go somewhere warm with the kids. I called several places in Chelan and they were either booked or very expensive. I have never heard of the Lakeside Lodge but when I called I was immediately drawn to the place. The gal answering the phone was super nice, informative, and helpful. She found me a room, and even though it was spendy (179 a night), it was last minute so I took it. When we arrived I was very pleasantly surprised. Our room was on the bottom floor, close to the pool and overlooked the lake and a very nice park. The room was spacious and clean and everything we needed. We felt safe and it was a great location across from the park. Only downfall is the walk to downtown would be on a busy highway :(. Anyway - the pool was clean and warm and inviting. There was a hot tub close to the pool that was more lukewarm but fit the kids needs. We had pizza delivered for dinner at the pool (westside pizza - YUM and reasonable). They have a very nice indoor pool as an attached outside hot tub as well (hot like it should be). It was open until 11 so the kids loved that. Check out was a breeze and they even offered to sell us Slide Water tickets since I said we were headed that way, to avoid the long line there. THANK GOD we did that because some people stood in line for a LONG time at the water park. Great service to offer at the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and the place was great. The first room we stayed in had a heater malfunction, which was not good in January (it was 14 degrees outside). After a few attempts of warming the room, we called the front desk. They were courteous and accommodating as they quickly moved us to a new room. The staff was also very accommodating to a last minute late check out request. Once settled in our nee room, we enjoyed the warmth and incredible views. The view of the lake was breathtaking, everything was covered in a blanket of snow. Using the in room Keurig, I brewed some hot coffee and enjoyed the view. The bed was a little stiff but not uncomfortable. The queen bed had plenty of pillows for two people to sleep comfortably. The shower head rotated which was cool but not anything extra special. The breakfast room was a step above the basic continental breakfast. The front desk person was rude upon checkin (I asked why the amount she quoted me was different than the rate I signed up for online--totally condescending in her reply, something like "As I said before, your card won't be charged this much.") Um, okay, if you said it before I didn't hear it -- that's why I asked, but whatever. Maybe next time try a smile, say that there's a security deposit, and work at a sunnier disposition...you are in hospitality, after all. Shower had hair in it. There was a breakfast bar wrapper floating in the hot tub -- my kid pulled it out. EW. Then, leaving, I call the front desk from the road on my way to an event to ask if I can do a late checkout -- my stuff is already out of the room, I just want to use a different card that the one on file and pay in the afternoon after the event I'm attending is over. No deal. Late checkouts "were full" and they refused to do more. Whaaaat? The manager finally got on the phone and took my new cc #, but not before I battled with a front desk person who preferred to argue rather than solve the problem. I come to Chelan every year with family to do an athletic event up in the mountains nearby. I'm not recommending this place to anyone, and I'll never stay here again. If you're reading this, I suggest you skip it, too. $200+ a night is too much to pay for a dirty shower, a dirty hot tub, and an unfriendly/unhelpful front desk. Ridiculous. read more

Would not allow my wife and sister-in-law to view "continental" breakfast they walked up to the "check-in" without our entire party. Poor location. Only redeeming quality is room. Not worth over $200/night. Should be $60-120. All of the white--and yes I am white--support staff was rude, inconsiderate, and argumentative. I will never stay here again. My wife and I stayed here on a recent trip to Chelan as it was very close to her sister & brother-in-law's home. This strikes me as a pretty typical independently run hotel in a resort town. The room itself was pretty tired. None of the doors shut well - the bathroom door was so warped that it basically wouldn't shut at all - and you could see light coming in around both the front door and the patio door - not really a good thing in the winter when it's in the teens-to-thirties outside. I also requested a late check-out but was told no, they couldn't accommodate. Also, the walls/ceiling were on the thin side - pretty easy to hear neighbors and earplugs are recommended Beds were comfortable however and the room was clean. It is on the high side for pricing (over $100/night in the off season), so I can't really recommend it as a bargain. I think overall, it may well be representative of what is available - you're in a REALLY small resort town with no representative hotels from the large chains (IHG, Hilton, Marriott), so you're really sort of stuck with what you get. read more

We needed a place to stay just for one night, and selected Lakeside based on the great reviews. They are warranted. All staff, on the phone and in person, were helpful and competent and the guy at the desk gave us a handout with all the information on local restaurants. The room, one of the king suites, was the cleanest hotel/motel room I've ever stay in. Every room has an amazing view of the lake and mountains from what I could tell. The living room area of our suite was on the lake side, which also put the bedroom where there could be less evening noise. Enough pillows for an army! Bed was comfy, too. There was sort of a kitchenette, with sink and small microwave for local leftovers and the usual coffee machine. Parking was convenient and the luggage carts were right by the elevator. The adjacent waterfront park (city?) is beautiful and a great place to walk your dog, if you've brought one. People were enjoying both the outdoor and indoor pools. Free breakfast was buffet style with fluffy scrambled eggs and link sausage as well as make your own waffles. Name your breakfast carb and they had it. Preserves were good quality, not the cheap "mixed fruit" kind that make me crazy. Cost for two old folks on a Sunday night was $130 booked through the hotel with discounts. We liked the place so much we stayed another night 5 days later to avoid a longer driving day and luckily they had a room, though the cost was a bit more due to the day of the week. We'll stay here every time we're in Chelan. read more

My card stopped working and I couldn't get in my room. Both the front desk ladies that work Wednesday day shift suck. I came here with my buddy and the room was under his bosses company card. I didn't know what the name was just the company. I left and got the parking pass that has the days we were staying and the room number. I walked in and again she said she couldn't help me. We literally bought this lady a pizza the day we got here so she literally knows my face and my dog. My meds and my dogs food were in the room and she just did not give a single fu*k. The younger dark haired kid is kick ass though. You guys should think about hiring some different front desk help because those two ladies are not hospitable or welcoming whatsoever. The hotel is very nice and clean though this is solely about your two front desk staff ladies. I'd say we won't be coming back but because it's the hotel he stays at for work I can't really say that. Customer service was perfect. Seriously. We waited a second while others were being served and I thought, "yup.. this is going to go well." We were last minute guests on off season so we're immediately given the best rooms possible. We swam forever in the indoor pool then took a rest in the sauna. Sat on the patio to read. Took a walk. Enjoyed listening to our neighbors laugh in the pool. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms so clean. It felt safe and relaxing. Couldn't ask for more. Also fresh waffles for breakfast! I am giving 2 stars due to at least an average accommodation. This is a good size dog-friendly resort with direct access to the public lake park. The concern: Front desk staff are in desperate need of hospitality 101 class. Customer service/courtesy is non-existent. They are rude, intimidating and unapologetic. I checked in early and was promise a certain type of room but when they said the room was ready, it was not what was promised. I argued with the staff and asked to deliver what they've promised but they flat out denied everything at that point. Chris at the front desk got extremely aggressive and started speaking to me in a threatening manner. In the end, I was told "If you don't want the room we have for you, you can cancel and book somewhere else" - knowing it was in the middle of a peak season and there wasn't anything else available around. Our building and room had ants crawling all over the floor. When I told the staff at check out, they didn't really seem to care. At least my kids had fun feeding the ant farms outside the building. read more

Great accomodation ... it has everything you are expecting for a great place to stay. You know the comfortable beds, clean soft white linens ( with 6 big pillows per bed i should mention this too love it) toasty in winter just what we look forward to when we come into a room after playing in the snow and great staff. Probably most rooms like the one we got has a balcony facing the beautiful lake chelan and the amazing views of the mountain ranges. We would love to stay in this place again. read more

Not too shabby of a place, had an amazing view overlooking the lake. The free breakfasts were kinda meh, and well... the furnishings in our room were kinda 80s looking. For the expensive rates they charge, l was hoping that the rooms would be a bit nicer.. read more

Great customer service!!! We needed a stool in our room and one of their employees couldn't find one so he went to his place and got his! He told me just to drop it off at the office when we checked out!!! Wow! Exceeded well over our expectations!! Will stay here again! Travled 5 hours to get to chelan and found this beautiful suite. They also have BBQers for the public, pool, etc. read more
