Amazing family owned resort. Right in the perfect area of town. Day at the beach and then walk into town for some dinner, ice cream, shopping etc... Staff is super friendly and attentive. The bar in the restaurant has every high end bottle you could want. I tried many. Food is fantastic, I had breakfast and dinner. No resort fee, I can't remember the last time I didn't pay one. Use of all the beach toys, paddle boards or kayaks. Good times, great memories and we will be back. read more

We had a really wonderful stay at Campbell's Resort in Lake Chelan. The biggest thing you're paying for here is the absolutely beautiful view from every room... it's stunning and really makes the whole experience special. The service throughout the resort was also excellent. My husband attends a physical therapy conference here every year, and the staff always does a great job taking care of everyone and making the event run smoothly. The only downside would be that the rooms are starting to show their age. As a business owner myself, I completely understand that renovating and updating an entire property is a big financial decision. That said, it does feel like the rooms are reaching the point where a refresh would really elevate the experience. I imagine that will happen eventually. One of the highlights of the stay was the restaurant, which is just steps away from the rooms. We ate there multiple times and every single thing we ordered was really good. The quality of the food was consistently excellent and the servers were kind and attentive. They also had live music on Friday night, and the woman performing when we were there was incredibly talented and made the evening even more enjoyable. This resort is in a great location, within walking distance to a very cute downtown with bars, restaurants, ice cream shops and shopping options. The hotel has its own beach with several lounge chairs - a great way to relax and enjoy the beauty of Chelan! There are two hot tubs and one pretty good sized pool with towels available. All of this made up for some of the negatives... Overall the resort is a bit dated- the architecture gave us a very 70s motel feel with the layout and roof style. The doors to all of the rooms face the parking lot with stairs going up to the various floors. Our door didn't close or lock properly unless we pulled it shut. The interior of the rooms could definitely use a refresh-bathroom tiles, bath and shower, and room carpet need some love (as many others have noted). When we checked in we saw that two of the towels in the bathroom had stains on them which was pretty icky. Nothing you want to see when you're at a hotel, that's for sure. We had a room with a balcony that looked out at the lake and had us enjoying beautiful sunsets. On our second night the hotel got a bit busy and it's definitely on the louder side. The sun goes down pretty late and people were having fun on the beach until it got dark. Conversations from the hot tub and pool areas definitely carry as well. Overall it's a great location with nice amenities that make for a nice summer getaway but my fingers will be crossed that they do some renovations soon to make it worth the high summer prices. I wish I could give this resort a five star rating, because I love it, but I can't. We brought our children to Campbell's every summer for many years, along with several other families, usually about 20 to 25 people. So very fun. We have not been able to come back for about 10 years. We were looking forward to our, now adult and married, children being together (separate rooms), hoping to start a second generation of this tradition. The day my husband and I checked in we noticed an odor in our room as soon as we walked in the door. I checked to see there were no old garbage or damp used towels. I put baking soda down all the drains. I looked everywhere, but could not discern where the odor was coming from. It never went away. Very sad. We were also disappointed in the restaurant upstairs. The service was extraordinarily slow. The food was ho-hum. The hollandaise sauce was tasteless. Please, please fix this!!! read more

The rooms are small, ugly, run down and the bathroom hasn't been updated since the 1970s. The A/C sounded like a lawn mower. I also was given a "corner room" without being told it has no front door, no window (other than the sliding door) and is about 15'x12'. If the cost had been $100 a night vs $400, I'd have been ok with the trade off. To their credit they replaced the AC when requested, but it was just a bad. I called to reserve a room same day as I was not expecting to stay and was serviced by Jose. I specifically told him I knew it was short notice but hoped he had availability. He told me "we actually do for tonight" "we have several rooms". I provided him with all the information and just FYI any child above 5 is considered an adult. Visited Lake Chelan on a recent trip and the area is absolutely beautiful. Campbell's resort is situated right on the lake so you have beautiful views from every room. The rooms themselves are a bit dated, and could definitely use some updating and upgrading. The check in and out process was super smooth, the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. Campbells is within walking distance of the cute little downtown with a lot of different food options. A short drive away there are also tons of wineries, so you have quite a few options for food and beverage. I did not get a chance to eat at Campbells, but next time I return I will definitely eat there. read more

The bedding was clean but floor still seemed kinda dirty with hair on it. Rooms are very dated (doors didn't seem to seal, our exhaust fan wasn't in the wall and was hanging out of it). We had a fun stay! The location is walking distance from town and all the rooms have a lovely view of the lake. I liked that I was able to check in on a machine since there was a long line to speak with the associates in the lobby. It was also great that the parking spots are so close to the rooms! The rooms are super outdated, but comfortable enough. Don't expect a "resort" quality, but the price makes sense because of the location and view. Beds were average and the pillows were a bit flat. Housekeeping came daily with fresh towels but never changed our sheets. This was fine since it was a 3 night stay but we did spill a little on the edge of the bed and were surprised that the housekeeper just moved the display pillow to cover it. Nothing really stood out as being amazing or terrible, it was just fine. I've stayed in airbnbs in the area and found them to be a better value and quality! I can imagine this place being SO fun in the summer too! read more

Summer fun!! What a relaxing vacation spot. Our family of 5 enjoyed 3 days lakeside at Campbells resort this summer. It was such a wonderful time, and many memories made. Campbells made it easy with accessible grills and picnic areas, comfy lounge areas, the swimming beaches and jumping platforms, floatie filling air hose, and most of all the great location on the lake, a short walk to the ice cream shop, across the street from Safeway, Starbucks, and the market. This is an awesome place. Stay here if you love the water and sun and want to stay literally on the beach on the best lake in the Pacific NW. There is only one setback from a complete 5 star. The location is awesome. I recommend you upgrade to beach access room versus terrace. Several swim areas. Free kayak and stand up paddle boards. The pools are warm. The staff is friendly. The restaurant was awesome. If you like hamburgers then order the Pub Burger. I love burgers and this one might be the best I've had. My wife's salad was so fresh. Perfect. My daughter had the summer pasta. It was ok. Don't recommend. The price was a bit high, but damn that burger. Parking was awesome at the resort. Picnic table just outside our slider. Right next to a boat rental place. I recommend you rent a pontoon boat for the family for four hours. Damn that was fun. Only setback: the bathroom is old. The sink is so low it was hard to brush my teeth. For the price of a room you would think it would be easier to use. In summary, staff was awesome. The beach, swim area is well maintained. It is right next to a great walking trail. I loved waking up and having coffee on the water. I have seen complaints and kudos for the mattresses. I slept great! Even after three bud lites. The grass is freshly mowed. The flowers are awesome. Lots of lounge chairs. Starbucks is a few blocks away. We plan to have our family reunion here again and every year after. read more

Visited Lake Chelan over the past weekend and was looking at places to stay and stumbled upon this resort.. Usually, minimum requirement is a two night stay but management allowed my one night stay. Checking in Saturday was $194 a night. Every room at Campbell's has a lake view, which is a plus! Who doesn't love having a water front room?! I was checked into room 4128, which is on the first floor. The jacuzzi was right in front of our room and also the grass area. They have bbq grills you can use too! First impression of the room was that it was a bit small but it was doable. The towels are really rough! So be careful using it on your body and precious face (You don't want to damage your beautiful skin!!). Their bed was wayyyyyy too firm for my husbands and I liking. (We both woke up the next morning with sore bodies..) Campbell's location is great. There's a Safeway, Starbucks and a cute little corner store with everything you need in it. I would definitely stay at Campbell's again for their beautiful view of Lake Chelan and their convenient location. read more

Housekeeping isn't great. I found broken glass from a previous guest in the room and had to pick it up myself, and there were crumbs on the bedsheet after housekeeping came and went during our stay. The outdoor pool water was fairly cold. The entire resort is a bit dated and could use a remodel/refresh. Cannot recommend despite the fantastic location. read more

We stayed here for Mahogany and Merlot. First they are not ADA compliant. My husband is on crutches, the receptionist said there was a ramp close to our room, there is not! Our room was on the first floor, nice view only. Entrance is down steep stairs, on lake side, patio sliding door only, very dangerous while using crutches. Room was Traditional King, smallest room I have ever seen for $274.00 a night. I also injured myself putting a suitcase on a shelf. They have a shower rod bar that is not bolted to the wall, it fell down and hit me in the forehead, nice goose egg for the start of our weekend away. Last thing, kids running and throwing popcorn off the balcony in the room above us, restarted at 4 am! I called the front desk to ask for another room, apparently incoming reservations are more important than my reservation, no rooms available. We will never stay here again! read more

Though I'v stayed at Campbell's for over 20 years with my family. It's a great place to stay. My review is for Star the hostess that works in the restaurant. I had contacted the restaurant to talk to someone about my parents coming in to dine and to celebrate their anniversary. I was lucky to of had Star answer. As I expressed to her that my siblings and I wanted to pay for my parents dining experience. She was happy to assist me. She took down my info. And she was great to let me know the updates on my parents reservation and that she would make sure the server would take great care of them. She went above and beyond in my eyes. We stayed at Campbells again this summer and I am raising them to 4-stars for there overall stay. The rooms are clean, the property is clean and the staff was very friendly throughout our stay (which was one of the reasons I stepped up the stars) previously the guy at the front desk was a jerk. This year they really clamped down on visitors, if you didn't have a wrist band they asked you to leave. I know some people frown at this but if you pay to stay there you should be able to enjoy the pool, lake and lounge chairs available as part of your stay. Others come in and crowd these areas which takes away from my relaxation. We will be back for Winterfest and Wine and Chocolate weekend. My expectation is after Wine and Chocolate they will be a 5-star again. Just keep the jerk from ruining people's stay. One nasty employee can ruin a trip. Cheers! read more

I have loved this place for 30 years and have never had a bad meal until today. We went in for happy hour and enjoyed the drinks and the clam chowder. We Ordered the sweet potato tots and they were inedible. I do my think the chef tried them or they would not have been on the Menu. I have eaten and enjoyed tater tots for. 59 years and these were the worst ever , The tater tot wasn't broken so not sure why they went down this path to try and fix it. This is our 2nd stay here at Campbell's (first time was a few years ago in a different building). This time I stayed in building 5, upstairs terrace room with 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen - which we were told was one of the largest rooms. I was disappointed with this visit for the following reasons: 1) maintenance needed - screens in the windows were dirty with holes. Screen door was broken. Kitchen faucet was loose. 2) noise - traffics noise at all hours, noise from neighbors outside, including crying children at all hours. 3) Accessibility- difficult to get to the grass and beach areas from building 5 terrace. Very narrow stairs were the only option. These were very challenging if carrying a bag of any kind. Stairs everywhere. 4) Parking - very limited parking and awkward sized spots. No issues as long as you are driving a compact size car. 4) Room: Uncomfortable sofa, awkward original bathroom in serious need of updating. What was good: the staff provided great customer service. The grounds are well kept. This experience did NOT warrant the price tag of over $330 per night. It felt more budget vacation than luxury or special. Not to the quality of Post Hotel in Leavenworth or Sun Mountain Lodge. I usually take photos of nice places I stay. I realized after I got home that I did not take one photo of the room, which means I wasn't impressed. read more

For the location, access to the lake, barbecues set around, and swimming pools open late with a bar next to them, I give this resort a full 5 stars. We ate at their restaurant 3 times and everything in my opinion was great and reasonably priced. The only complaint I'd have to be honest about is that my significant other and I ordered hash with pork belly in it for breakfast and the pork had so much fat in it that it was almost uneatable. Some people like fat in their food so no need to complain, also the rooms are a little dated and our hotel keys kept demagnetizing themselves (even after keeping our keys away from the obvious things that could demagnetize them.) with all that said though for where we were this was the perfect spot for our family vacation. I stayed here in November for a work conference. The place is definitely older but they have managed to keep the property looking pretty good with updates. My room had an amazing view of the lake. The bed was comfortable. Loved the newspaper being delivered every morning and having a coffee maker in my room. Location is great close to Safeway and Starbucks and the rest of downtown. Why did it lose one star? The flipping heater is either way too cold or way too hot. THere was no in between. I tried everything for the 3 nights I stayed there and was miserable. Extremely happy with our stay here. They were very accommodating (ended up with one more guest), room was very clean with amazing views. We stayed in a suite on the 3rd floor. Wish we could have checked in a little bit earlier (yet, we got in 1.5 hrs early, thank you!) I understand, it is a large place with hard working staff, we did our best to keep our room cleaned! I was surprised they do housekeeping with our 2 night stay, not complaining by any means, we have no problems reusing towels! My only complaint is for guests, PICK UP after yourselves. I see inflatables, beach toys sitting out all night, they are piled up on one side of the beach. These guys go around and clean that beach every morning so when you leave your stuff behind the work falls behind. Some things sat out the entire time we were there, looks like people bring toys and inflatables then leave them. Shame on you lazy folks. One of our kids didn't know the toys were not public property, he started playing with something, someone ran over and said, "oh no those are ours". Not a big deal, it happened so quick that we didn't get to correct him ourselves, yet those toys just sat untouched for 48 hours, pick them up lady. We make our kids pick up after themselves though, our toys were put away when not in use, very simple. Cannot wait to come back, trying to come back in august but not looking great as things are already booked! Shoot!! read more

Stayed here with my wife and two small children (2 & 4). We really enjoyed it. Kids loved the pool and the beach. We also liked the ease of renting paddle boards and kayaks. They have live music some nights and an arts and crafts event for kids most mornings. The room wasn't cheap but it also wasn't overly expensive by Chelan standards. You can get good deals in the restaurant and there are plenty of ways to save some money such as BBQing at the provided grills. Very convenient access to restaurants, grocery stores etc but you don't feel like you're in the center of town while on the lake. I'm a little surprised at the poor reviews on here. I think maybe some people have unreasonable expectations. No this is not a five diamond Michelin-starred yada yada relaxation spa. The Duchess of Cambridge will not be staying in the room next to yours. It's generally a family resort with its main features being the incredible views, lake, beach and pools. If that sounds sufficient then this is the place for you. read more

I'm currently in hell, i.e., Campbell's "Resort." My husband and three-year-old are with me. After a four-hour drive, we arrived around 8:30 p.m. and checked into the 2-bedroom room with kitchen. Not as advertised, at all. It was unclean and looked like something out of a 1970's Vegas hotel room. In other words, we all made sure our socks were on. (See duct-taped fridge parts for extra classiness). I got my kiddo to be around 9:30 p.m. and make the mistake of going to the bathroom at 10. I flushed once and the entire toilet overflowed everywhere, in the bathroom and into the common hallway carpet. Here's where the saga gets super fun. My kid is up now, scared and asking what's going on. I call the front desk and tell them we need to move ASAP. The person I'm speaking with (female) is actually very quick and nice. That said, we are now sitting in a king room with no separate bathroom, meaning that (you guessed it) we are sleeping next to a very wiggly toddler and any flush of a toilet (overflowing or not) is going to wake him. Did I mention we have a 10:30 a.m. business meeting tomorrow that requires rest? To top it off, the TV in this new room doesn't work. Like, doesn't even turn on. We were offered an $11 14 Hands bottle of wine for our trouble. Anyone with kids knows that 10 bottles of wine isn't going to make up for the cranky toddler I'll have in about six hours. After the TV thing, I called the front desk again to ask for a refund, because, COME ON. A guy answered this time. Here's how that went. "Hi, we're the family who just moved. We're now in a much smaller room with an unworking TV and I had a toilet overflow on me tonight. I'm going to want a refund. This is crazy." "Oh, okay, well you know that couch pulls out into a spare bed." "Cool story, what about my refund?" "Umm, you'll have to come to the front desk and talk to the manager in the morning." "I have a meeting in the morning, and the manager should be contacting me under the circumstances." "Okay, I'll have her call you." "Do you have my phone number?" "Oh, uh...no, could you give it to me?" *Smacks forehead* A cracker-jack operation you've got here, Campbell's. For a staggering $209 a night, we get false advertising, unlivable conditions, and at least 50% of your staff thinks it's my job to call you to make it right after the night from hell. It's 11:18 p.m. now. My child is still awake. I'll send him to talk to your manager at 6 a.m. Cheers. read more

The rooms are nice and the location is great but the TV is horrible. There is no guide, no on demand, no way to find local news. It is worse than my TV as a kid in the 1970's because at least then I knew what shows were on the 4 channels we got. We absolutely love Campbell's Resort! My family and I stay here yearly in the summer in a 2 bedroom terrace room. It is the perfect size for a family. Having a kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals and not have to go out to eat daily. The views are absolutely amazing. Sandy Beach access to the lake is a plus! The central location to town makes everything accessible! They used to have a loyalty program that gave you discounts at the restaurant and beach bar. They have since taken it away. I'm not sure why because it was a great way to show appreciation to your top spending customers who come yearly. Overall, a great vacation spot!! read more

So we decided to book this Lake Chelan vacation at the very last minute, and the "deluxe" suite with two queen beds was our only option at $390/night. At this price point, I'm gonna have to rate this place as insanely overpriced. Below I break it down for y'all: 1) The room is outdated. Our "suite" has a microwave that is probably older than me (I'm 39 years old). So old that it doesn't have a turning plate in it. Does it work? Yes. I guess that's the bar to upgrading anything here. The colors in the room are just wrong in 2021 (a pastel blue and brown combination, ew) and the sinks are so low my 2.5 year old daughter almost didn't need any stepping stool. 2) Room layout is weird. This supposed suite doesn't have a closet. Instead, there is a rectangle section with a curtain on it, and it's filled with a safe, some blankets, an extra pillow, and a garbage can. There is a mini kitchen in the suite, but nowhere to sit down and eat your food. 3) The walls are paper thin. The people upstairs are walking from one side of the room to the other side and it's like the walls are shaking in our room. I've seen tents with better structure. 4) This place is actually loud. It's 9:30 PM as I'm writing this, and kids are still screaming in the lake. Their "quiet time" starts at 10:00 PM which is practically my bed time so I guess I should be thankful. 5) It is impossible to find seating in the resort's restaurant, which -combined with the notorious heat wave- worsened our experience like 4x. We've been here for two nights and our two attempts at finding dinner have failed miserably. Absolutely no chance getting a table at the resort and every single restaurant around the area has closed due to the heat wave (yet they show as open on Yelp or Google....). First night we had to eat take out pizza in our room, second night prepared food from Safeway. Add to that going door to door in 120F with a toddler in your lap. Epic fail. 6) The beds and pillows are not comfortable. They're like the guest beds in your grandma's house that predate all the innovations in the mattress industry and bend when there's weight on. Both mornings I woke up with back and neck pain (for reference I have a Tuft&Needle mattress at home and a Casper pillow). I had booked this place for 3 nights and 4 days and we are planning to check out earlier to do 2 nights and 3 days. Yeah the lake and its ducks are great and the resort's internet is super fast and reliable (hence the two stars) but honestly this place is like really, truly mediocre at best. I feel like banging my head against the wall when I think I paid over $1K to stay in this 1970s room for two nights and eat junk food from Safeway. read more

We got a special rate, but I would certainly be willing to pay full price. All guests get full priveledges to the private beach. The hotel is located in downtown Chelan and within walking distance to several shops and restaurants. If I could give a lower rating or no rating at all. This is due to the manager on shift who I will not name drop out of professionalism that they lack. It's not the fact that we waited with 2 hungry kids in their lobby 30 mins past the check time we were given. It's the response we had been given after we asked what kind of compensation they prepared to offer us since they where behind on their end. The response was unprofessional and anything but a resemblance of customer service. How are you going to justify yourself when you are providing a service and failing on your end.
