Our stay was going pretty good. The rooms were a little out dated and beds needed new mattress. The worst part was all the Karen's that must own some of the units making it unwelcoming. First thing was we had some jet skis anchored by shore so we could keep an eye on them and have easy access. Resort staff asked us to move them because someone wanted to tie up to their buoy. No problem, we moved the jet ski to the dock. No one ever tied up to the bouy the rest of our stay. Second thing was I paid for a buoy ($25 per day) to tie my boat up to. It was fine there for 3 days and nights. On the fourth day I got a call from the staff. Someone complained that my rope didn't look strong enough. I am an engineer and have been boating for 35 years. I have tied up and anchored my boat in many rivers and lakes. I never had a problem. My rope was in good shape and doubled so it was twice as strong as a single rope. They told us there was going to be high wind (see picture of wind forecast not high winds) and recommend we use a different rope or pull our boat out. I pulled my boat out a day early and I'm going to try and get a refund for the fourth day in the morning. The lake is beautiful but the way we were treated and lied to was disappointing. I doubt we will stay here again. read more

Unit 2-2 Starting with the good--Great location. Cute place. The bad--Plan on getting up early every day. The primary bedroom faces East and with no blackout blinds, the sun is your wake-up call. The day before I arrived, I was contacted by the property management office and told new blinds were being installed. When I arrived, there were blinds piled in the corner that my husband had to install. On top of that the blinds were not installed correctly and did not cover the entire window facing the lake. This meant anyone walking along the main path could see right into our unit. Our first day, after unpacking and stocking the fridge we left for several hours, upon return, I went to the sliding glass door to ensure it was locked (something I always do before bed) it was unlocked. We hadn't ben out to the patio yet, so this means the door had been unlocked before we arrived and remained unlocked without our knowledge. We then went to get a drink from the refrigerator (which had been stocked many hours earlier) we noticed all of our drinks were warm. Like, WARM. The refrigerator was set at ~50°, which is well below what is food-safe. At this point, we were angry and worried because we'd stocked the whole fridge, including, $150 on steaks that could now be at risk for spoilage. For the price they're charging for this unit the minor technical upgrades made do not make up for the health and safety concerns. When I reported this to the local office, one young lady called and said they'd fix the blinds (and they did) but couldn't say much else. When I asked for the Manager tocall me he never did. They clearly don't care about visitor safety and satisfaction. EXTREMELY disappointed. read more

Pricey and old but pretty :) Sofa was very used same as bed. In the other hand, dishwasher was very clean same as almost everything else, except for a fork. I think there are two flight units. Each has a laundry room, and full kitchen so don't worry about that. This place is so beautiful and peaceful that we didn't mind. We were out almost all the time. We used the pool, their little beach, some paddleboard entrances, took a walk and sat on the reclining benches. View is amazing!!! Lake water is Cristal clear. We watched a lot of fish. Calm on the morning. Pool is warm. Wish they could turn it higher because some days is very windy and cold. read more

Normally have a great time at Chelan Shores as Worldmark owners. The grounds are kept nice as welll as amenities. Unfortunately, we were turned away from sitting at the beach because we were staying at the Lake House and not Chelan Shores this year. Really!?! We cant even use the beach. Give me a break. We weren't there to use the amenities just hang out at the lake. If people staying at Chelan Shores can use amenities at The Lake House then it should work the other way around. read more

The safety of families seems to not be a concern of the management. Unattended power tools near and unannounced work were not what we expected when booking here. When we spoke to the manager and the front desk, we were encouraged to contact 3rd parties. Pretty terrible experience and much worse treatment than we received at other local resorts. Please choose to enjoy Lake Chelan at a professionally run resort like "Wapato Point Resort." read more

I do not recommend staying at Lake Chelan Shores if you have a boat. Condo was fine, and nice views and grounds, but after you launch your boat you have to park the boat trailer near the entrance, unhook it from truck and then drive back down and park. Then when you return you have to drive back, hook the boat trailer back up to the truck, drive back down, get the boat, then drive back near the entrance and leave your boat parked outside the secured entrance again and unhook it from the truck again. (A lot of work and time just to put in and out). You can purchase a buoy for $25 a day, if they have one available (Which I did) so I could just leave it their day and night for our 3 day vacation (make sure you have your life jacket because you will need to swim to and from this bouy each time you use it. But, If someone decides they don't like you or your boat (I'm not sure why, very few people down by the water) they call staff and complain that your rope dosen't look strong enough to hold it on the bouy (I guess we had a rope and knot expert near us). Then staff calls you saying your rope may not be good enough to hold your boat due to the high winds tonight and suggest you get a better rope or pull it out. (What?) it's already been their 2 nights with no problems. We have many years experience securing boats in rivers and lakes. Winds that night according to NWS were gusts up to 8mph (what?) Can't even enjoy a simple vacation. Very disappointed. I won't be back. I will give two stars because they did call me back and did refund me for the one night buoy rental. read more

We rented a very nice condo via VACASA. When we got there, there was a work trailer and a car blocking our room. Talked to a worker who said he was renovating that condo. Went back to desk. They tried to reach owner--not available, They apologized and assured us that our money would be refunded but we were offered a time share at no charge since this was not our fault. They told us not to tell VACASA that they gave us a place. This place did not have a good view like the other and our 74 year old friend had to sleep in a twin bed. The next day, we were told that we would not get a refund because we did not call them 1st (instead o the office). We were told the local Vacasa MGR had denied our refund. That was a lie because we were told later that the local person was over seas We heard back from that person today and said that because we were given other accommodations, we would not be getting our money refunded. Also--the condo was not the one being renovated-it was the one next door. We were never offered to spend the 2nd night in the condo we paid for. So--that owner got paid for 2 nights AND a cleaning fee . and no one stayed there. Will never use VACASA again read more

Spent the week in unit 3-1. What a beautiful spot. Loved the access to the boat ramp, unit was clean and comfy. I wouldn't recommend it for more than 2 adults though... a bit on the small side and the ladder to the Loft is steep. Staff were not super helpful in the office ... But aside from that it was great. read more

I traveled here with my family all of the way from Washington, DC with my fifteen-month-old and husband. We had a great time and enjoyed all of the amenities including the playground, lake, pools (there are four or five) and proximity to the wineries and downtown. Here's a quick summary of our pros and cons for our family of three. Pros: Pools Landscaping Security Walking paths "Beach" with sand Playground Friendly guests Helpful and hospitable staff Views, views and more views Size of the units (somewhat dated but clean and spacious!) Proximity to downtown Cons: Gym (poor lighting and old equipment) "Beach" is extremely rocky so it's tough for younger kids to run around We didn't find good food in Lake Chelan. All in all, this gets a five out of five from the Mattingly family. Thanks for a great stay! read more

The condo was clean upon arrival, a little musty and outdated but we were happy to get away for a couple of days. Once checking out the master bath, we noticed there was no cold water from the sink faucet. A quick check under the counter revealed that the cold water had been turned off. Fearing there was a leak, I turned on the water and observed a drip from the piping under the sink. Luckily the bathroom garbage can was small enough to move it under the pipe and catch the water. Shortly thereafter, we started noticing that there were ants crawling around the area of the kitchen counter in the area of the sink and breakfast bar area. We killed them when they came out, not much else you can do about that. Bedtime, the bed was comfortable enough. Our 1 year old didn't seem to share our joy. I don't know if it was something he was allergic to or the mustiness of the condo but he had major breathing issues once we tried to put him down. This continued through the night and rest was not on the menu. This was coupled by the fact that each room has vents that lead to the outside. A story had come in and all night the wind and rain made it sound as though someone was playing the cowbell in our room. I spoke with my daughter in the morning who complained of the same issue with her vent. In the morning, we contacted the wonderful folks up at the front desk. The were sympathetic to our request to check out early but stated that if we wanted a refund, we would need to contact Vacasa, as all reservations are handled through them. I contacted Vacasa and they abruptly told me that there are no refunds within 30 days of the reservation and since we were in our rental period, they would not be issuing a refund. We still checked out early to avoid another night like the previous. Hopefully our luck will be better at the hotel we are checking into. read more

Our favorite place to stay in the Chelan area. Interiors have been updated. Lake and sandy swimming beach access along with a great pool area including kiddie pool and hot tub. Also, Kudos to LCS for adding a gender neutral restroom on the main floor of the lobby building Views from all three of the units we have stayed at are stellar; and it's spacious enough that you're not on top of other guests like Campbells or Peterson's. read more

If we could review at zero stars we would. Since the new GM 2 years ago, it has gone down hill. We have been a long time owner of multiple times shares and have recommended several to purchase. We will be selling ours. The place has deteriorated. Too bad as it used to be a great place. read more

I've been coming here since I was born. Literally! Family bought a timeshare in 1984 and we come at least every single summer and sometimes in the colder months also. The place has changed a lot over the years but it has also maintained a wonderful atmosphere that is family friendly, not too crowded, and full of things to do. I will review some of the highlights as follows: The community center has friendly staff where you can find good information on things to do and there is a big workout room, an indoor racquetball court, multiple tennis courts, a hot tub, kiddie pool, and a large pool for lap swimming. There are four additional pools that are a bit smaller but still fun to hang out in. The units on the hill were added in the early nineties and they are a bit smaller but they have good views. The units down the hill are a bit older but they are closer to the water. Also, everything was remodeled about seven years ago so it's all pretty modern. The dock is made of plastic and it floats over the lake. Really fun to hang out on when there is a wind storm and the waves are rocking! Nice grass area near the water and multiple ways to get in the lake and swim. Nice walking paths in front of the lake also. Security is around to make sure everyone's being safe and overall, it's a great place! Many of the people are owners though and some of them don't like to be nice to the timeshare people. Just be aware of that. read more

Stay away from units 16-7 and 16-8. We just stayed in them and their beds are awful. We all slept terribly and have back aches now. We stayed in these units 4-5 years ago and the beds were terrible then...we assumed they would have been replaced by now, but nope. When you sit on the beds it sounds like your sitting on a large head of cabbage, and they bounce like a car with no struts. Overall LCS is a nice place...a bit dated, but nice overall. Do be aware that all the units are independently owned, so some are much nicer than others. read more

It really gives you piece of mind to be surrounded by caring customer service oriented people which is a rarity nowadays. This review is for unit 18-10 through vacasa. Unit is old, carpet is extremely dirty and stained. Not clean. Silverware with food stuck on it and sofa and chair old and dented. Won't stay in this unit again. The resort is beautiful though. Such a shame this unit is so bad read more

We have owned a timeshare at "The Shores" for years. They take care of the property better than any other timeshares on the lake. The resort is the perfect combination of relaxation and fun. I have always found the staff to be super helpful and friendly. The only negative comment is on the pillows, so bring your own if you can. read more

This condo resort has everything for an active or inactive stay at Lake Chelan. The pools and hottub were very nice and the grounds were immaculate. From checkin to our seven night stay we were very satisfied with everything about Lake Chelan Shores. read more
