Always a recommendation in my book. My go to spot almost every morning! I have been getting an iced Campfire for the past year and it hasn't gotten old yet. Can't get enough of it!

We have landed on Camp One as our new hometown coffee spot. The kid likes either an iced tea concoction or their Blue Lagoon drink. I like my standard iced soy vanilla latte but have tried a couple hot drinks and some of the fancy coffees ( there is an orange mocha thing that is pretty tasty). They have 3 packaged snack breads - banana, lemon, or fudgeswirl, and they are pretty good. They have delicious bagel sandwiches with yummy toppjngs for $9-10 depending how jacked up you want it. Those are made to order and very yummy. A bagel with cream cheese, toasted, is about $4-5 I think. I hear there are donuts that get gussied up, but we have not tried them yet. They have no cookies which I find a little sad. We give them our phone # for some kind of rewards plan but to be transparent, I don't know how that works yet. I will let you know when I figure it out. Hannah and the other ladies working there are very friendly and kind. Go get a yummy coffee! The espresso is really good.

    My untoasted jalapeño bagel. Disappointed.

If you are going to sell a bagel for 4.25 it would be lovely if it was toasted and the flavor I ordered. I ordered a drink and bagel. She forgot the bagel until after I got my drink and reminded her. Tossed the bagel in the toaster for 45 seconds. I'm guessing this isn't the norm, but she knew it was not toasted and have it to me anyway. I'm assuming she didn't care if I became a repeat customer or not. That's my only conclusion. This is my jalapeño & cheddar bagel pictured. I split it with the hubby because we were on our way to Hillsboro. A 3 hour drive. I should have gone somewhere else, but I decided instead of Starbucks I'd support my community. I want to support local businesses, but sometimes it's hard. I could say more, but I don't want to be overly critical if this was a fluke. As a local I'll try one more time, but that's all I've got. I'll update the review then.

We were next door at subway and decided to grab a donut desert. Camp One shares a parking lot and has walk-up and drive-up windows with a couple of tables outside. They've got a cool donut concept, you choose the toppings for your cake donut and they build it for you right then. I chose a cinnamon sugar and the hubby a maple. And of course, he also had to grab a latte while there. Unfortunately we weren't crazy about the donuts. They were fixed up great and looked yummy, but the actual cake donuts we received were quite dry and stale tasting. The latte, on the other hand, was fabulous...as was the customer service. While I probably wouldn't go for another donut, I wouldn't hesitate to stop by again for their coffee and to try out their breakfast sandwiches.

Great place to grab some morning coffee. The staff were super friendly, and the coffee was nice and hot! I really enjoyed the design of the place. I didn't try the food so am unsure what that is like. I did take some photos of the menu in case folks were curious.

Just Yum! We love a good doughnut on the weekend! These are unique, warm and gooey. Seriously a delicious treat unlike anything I've had before in the doughnut world. These are freshly made to order but the white chocolate Oreo was my favorite! We will definitely be making this stop whenever we're back in town! Thanks Camp One!

Pulled up when they were already closed and they were kind enough to make me a coffee on the house. Friendly staff and a delicious drink. I ordered a iced caramel latte and it was so tasty. The caffeine dose I needed!

Slightly spicy hollandaise sauce, perfectly poached eggs and the sweet bacon on the Benedict pearched on house made biscuits. Strong, rich coffee, on top of it service and normally a wait, but worth it.

I opted for the grilled cheese with an iced tea. My husband ordered the clam chowder with garlic bread. As I look around at all the tables near me all of the food from the hamburger to the salad looks delicious. The front door is open and the restaurant is warm. Outdoors it's only 54°. Kitchen is in the back of the restaurant, but there is heat radiated throughout the small restaurant. And loud noise of fans. The service was quick and polite. The food was delicious. The restaurant kept busy with people sitting at the tables outside as the lunch tables inside were filled. This is a small and cute place to have lunch. The wait staff was kind. We left our jackets in the restaurant and the waitress came out and found us still sitting in our car and gave us our jackets. Thank you to the staff for going above and beyond. I would give this adorable café five stars.

The gentleman waiter who has worked at The Coffee House for many years was so welcoming to us. He walked our first time diners through the menu expressing his favorites and top picks. We lucked out and arrived right as the largest table in the tiny place was finishing up so we got a table that comfortably fit the six of us. The waiter was super nice and helpful, especially since we started out saying we needed three checks. I ended up getting something I used to get years ago and was thrilled to see that they still had: pan-fried Yaquina Bay oysters and eggs, along with the homemade biscuit. Love that they have homemade bread and bread their own oysters and fish. I was worried that this place wouldn't be as good as it was when I used to go there 12 years ago with the new owners but it was as good as ever. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the waiter was super kind and funny. Love to see this place still thriving.

I would come back to Newport just for the ahi poke bowl. My fiance got the dungeness crab mac and cheese and it was without a doubt THE BEST mac and cheese we've ever had. We are Mac and cheese connoisseurs so that says a lot. The sauce was so perfect and the crab was very generous. To top it all off I thought the post cards at the end were very sweet. We were sat pretty quickly but not offered a high chair for our toddler. The restaurant vibe is a little off. Weird decor, cloth napkins, and loud music with the waitress singing very loudly which was annoying. By reading other comments, this is the owner's granddaughter. I heard another waitress tell the granddaughter that a couple of tables left suddenly who were sitting outside because no one checked on them. The granddaughter said rudely to the other waitress "those are your tables. I'm not allowed to touch them." It sounded like she knew the customers were there and didn't do anything to help them or tell the other waitress they were there. Not a very good way to run a business and a staff. We put in our order rather quickly and I had to ask where our food was after waiting for 45 minutes. The granddaughter apologized and said there was a 10 top and a 5 top ahead of us and all they were waiting for was my toddler's PBJ sandwich. The 10 top was sitting right next to us and they had already gotten their food, ate, and paid by the time I asked where our food was and the 5 top was already eating for 10min by the time I asked about our food. We finally got our food after waiting almost an hour for it. The food was good and thankfully hot when it came out. The granddaughter offered us a free dessert to-go for having to wait so long for our food. Specifically to-go like she didn't want us there anymore. We probably won't come here again, but it was fine enough food for lunch right by our hotel.
