UPDATE: I came back for a second visit and officially had to change my review from 4 stars to 5! Our first visit was for happy hour, and while we loved the atmosphere and service, I felt some of the food could have used a little more flavor. I said I wanted to come back and try the regular menu--and I'm SO glad I did. This time, we were seated right away again, and I ordered the enchiladas, which were absolutely incredible. They came with three different enchiladas and three different sauces, and every one was packed with flavor. My friend had the full chicken flautas meal, which was also delicious. We ordered the guacamole again, and it was exceptional, with the perfect kick of spice. Definitely still one of my favorites! They were also able to recreate the mocktail I loved from my first visit and called it a Bahama Mama this time It was delicious, but I still think Camello needs a mocktail menu! They mentioned they'll be coming out with new menus soon, so I'm excited to see what's coming. I do feel like some of the dishes are a little overpriced, but the food was delicious, and I absolutely loved our server both times. They were attentive, friendly, and made both visits such a great experience. Overall, getting to experience the regular menu completely changed my impression of the food. Everything had incredible flavor, we were extremely pleased with our dishes, and I genuinely wanted to come back and give Camello that fifth star. I'll definitely be returning, and I'm hoping they continue to keep up this same standard because this visit absolutely won me over! read more

Odd beginning! We arrived around 6:30 on a Friday night...we were immediately greeted by two very friendly young girls...they asked if we were having dinner or drinks...we said just drinks and she pointed to the bar area....beautiful beautiful atmosphere! The place was almost empty...a couple at the bar, a group of young women celebrating a bridal shower in dining room. 2 employees talking at front bar, three hostesses chatting, a bar tender....no one said hello, offered menus, nothing,,,for 10 minutes....no acknowledgement at all....until Nick showed up. Friendly and helpful. We all ordered a drink and an order of flan (we had eaten at Flint next door) Nick was attentive and even became our brilliant photographer....drinks were ok. This place is definitely a vibe. My friend and I popped in at 5pm on a Thursday. Surprised to find we were the only ones there. They have a pretty great happy hour menu. So we went with the $40 sampler platter. It was enough for two people. Good quesadillas (4), great flautas (2), I personally don't like mole so if I come back, I would ask for that on the side. The salsas were good there was a red roasted, a green and another green that was extra spicy plus the guacamole and that was good. I would sub out the extra spicy green and would prefer a pico de gallo. I also got the crispy rice with spicy tuna and I found that pretty tasty especially the crispy rice was done well. We were greeted right away. Service was friendly and attentive (we were the only ones lol) This place is perfect for a date night and hanging out with friends. No matter what angle you are in you will get some picturesque photos. Loved the music they had on. Wouldn't want it to be any louder maybe even down a Skosh that way conversations can be easily had especially as the restaurant fills up. They kept it at a good temperature coming in from hot Arizona this place could be a little tough to find. You have the option of free valet (might be certain times) and that would make it easiest to find the building or if you do the parking structure, you just have to walk a bit past the other restaurants. They validate the parking structure! I only give it 2 stars because it really is a beautiful spot and the guac was pretty good Anyways back to the review: I got tacos which were ok... nothing special to note. Tried my friends Caesar chicken and it actually tasted like seasoned rubber. One of my other friends hardly touched her Caesar (I don't blame her) and the waiter didn't even ask about it He likely knows lol Service was the craziest part though!! I really really like this kind of new place. I think it's the same group that does the Mercer next door, and I really like the Mercer too. The decor here is spot on. From the zebra striped booths to the White blossom trees there's something to see everywhere you turn. There's a lot of pink neon and large potted plants and the aesthetic is pretty dang cool. We received it immediately and our server was right there. She was super attentive and made sure that we didn't have any questions about the menu. We ordered: *Sandia Sucia (cocktail) *Guacamole *Salmon tacos *Carmelo shrimp ceviche *Churros Everything was really delicious. The guacamole was very good and was a pretty decent size serving. The salmon in the tacos was perfectly cooked--so yummy. The ceviche was loaded with shrimp and also super good. But, I must say, the churros, which was stuffed with caramel and served with chocolate and vanilla dipping sauces, were the star of the meal. Vibes were spot on, and great location. The good: every dish hit the spot, great cocktail and atmosphere was great. The okay: reservations meant nothing. We did snag a seat at the bar and stayed there for our meal. The terrible: our bartender forgot almost everything. Our app never came and we had to remind him, a shot I order never came, and the food we ordered to go only half our order came out. Wanted to love this place but it fell short. Came here after seeing them in the InKind app. We had cocktails nearby at Thea and wanted end our night here. Probably should did cocktails here and went to Thea for dinner. Anyway our server was nice but not really attentive. We ordered drinks as soon as we sat down and discussed appetizers but then he said he had to check his other tables. Ok. Mind you many of the appetizers including guacamole was unavailable. Then the queso comes out, in which we did not order. Discussed but did not order because I would have requested no mushrooms. We sent it back because the it lacked meat and we didn't order it. If you are looking for a robust chorizo under all that cheese, you will be underwhelmed. For drinks we Mezcal Old Fashion and Spicy Tequlia Cocktail. Those were delicious. The food came out and it was good. No complaints on the food. As soon as the food came out, we put in more drinks. After finishing all our food, still no drinks. We tried to cancel and was told they were making them. The bar wasn't. So after 5 more minutes, we went up to the bar and cancelled them. I will say that that the churros were good. Waitstaff friendly. But wanted more for my husband's birthday dinner. Walked away feeling a little like I let him down. The venue is gorgeous and they validate parking for the garage. Decor was nice and music was popping. I can't say that I won't try this place again but cannot recommend at this time. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was disappointing. My friends and I were the only customers in the restaurant and were having a great time. Our server was wonderful friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. Unfortunately, everything changed when the owner arrived. His son came over to chat with us and was incredibly kind and personable, but the owner had the complete opposite attitude. He came across as rude, unwelcoming, and made us feel like we weren't wanted there. It completely changed the atmosphere and left a bad impression. It's a shame because the staff was great, but the owner's behavior is enough that I wouldn't choose to come back. I would leave 0 starts the 2 are for our server kieren!! He's the best. read more

Came here for my birthday dinner in mid-February. I've been holding off on the review because I wanted to reflect a bit on my experience here objectively. We had a party of 8, reservation at 7. The ambiance is sick- the pink and Miami feel is so awesome and beautiful! What a fun place. They told us it would be a minute and they will seat us. Alright it took about 20 min to be seated and the high top table (all of us in dresses). The service was incredibly slow but I will blame that on growing pains as the restaurant had just opened about a week (I think) beforehand. The table came to a consensus that all of our drinks were pretty average, but my enchiladas were good! Finally, my friends had wanted to surprise me with a beautiful cake. They knew it was a surprise and they brought the plates out far before the cake came out, completely ruining the surprise. And then- they cut the cake in the back and brought it out sliced already on plates, so the plates they originally gave us were wasted. Just kinda unnecessary I guess. I'd be willing to come back here but definitely would like to give it some time. Would also like to try the Mercer since it's a sister restaurant next door. read more

Very excited to welcome this new restaurant and lounge to my neighborhood. If you like bold colors, zebra prints, disco ball energy and cool decor, you'll love this gem. Lots of pink, all the way down to the wait staff's jackets, for the perfect Miami vibes. Everything is beautifully curated inside, with two bars and ample seating, and they have a nice outdoor patio with fire pits if you prefer to dine outside. I had the Oaxacan cocktail, which was perfectly tasty with hints of smokiness. The food is elevated Mexican cuisine. If your meal comes with tortillas, you'll love them, they're delicious. The veggie bowl was delicious. They'll open for brunch, lunch and happy hour soon. Wait staff was extremely friendly. A special nod to Siena - couldn't have asked for friendlier, more attentive service on my first visit! Super girly and cute place. However, a lot of the drinks and food we tried to order were not available! All there frozen drinks they said they didn't have. Then I ordered a margarita with a tajin rim dip and they left the rim out just gave me a plain margarita. They completely missed about 3 drinks from our table and our server said one of the other servers had taken our drinks. They took FOR EVER to take our order. The food is okay, not worth the prices. Luckily our server was a sweetheart and you could tell he was trying his best. The place is super cute for pictures and the music list was amazing! I enjoyed this place's outside patio on a beautiful evening. The place is gorgeous and has an amazing ambiance. It's like chill and intimate but romantic if you want it to be. My friend and I came for drinks and sat outside . We only had one drink because it literally took 25 minutes for our drink to come for some reason. I ordered the pina y lime with vodka which was really good and my friend had red wine. It wasn't busy but for some reason we also had to wait at the hostess stand because no one was there to welcome us. We eventually was greeted by a nice man and he was assisting us until the actual hostess came over. There was also no toilet paper in the restroom but we did tell them about it. I love the decor, it's Acapulco mixed with West Palm Beach mixed with Palm Beach. I love the coral ambience and the vibe. Very posh. I love that. This new restaurant is really fun and vibrantly decorated with lots of flowers and pink colors. I did the sunset yoga in the courtyard and they gave everyone a token to get a mocktail here. They have agua frescas but not actual mocktails so the bartender said he could make a cocktail without the alcohol. I got the sandia sucia without the spice and it was really good! The bartender was really friendly and accommodating. I didn't try the food this visit so maybe next time. I parked in the garage by the AMC ans the restaurant validated it. read more

Last week we celebrated a couple birthdays on the patio at Camello! The breeze, sunsets, and view of the city is perfect! Kolby took care of our family and dear friends! We ordered quite a bit, but did a family style sort of "grazing" dinner! Great way to try it all. Guacamole, green gold was fresh with sweet pops of pomegranate and enchilada trio with the mole was so good. The pastor tacos w grilled fresh pineapple, melt in your mouth steak sirloin w cauliflower and black beans. The shrimp was delicious and the cool watermelon salad was delicious and cool. Coworkers and I used to love going to this area for lunch since we worked in the WeWork building, and it was incredibly easy to just head downstairs and stop into one of the restaurants. We were especially excited when Camello was under construction because it meant something new was coming to the area. When it opened, we were actually some of the first lunch guests to arrive. They seated us right away, and we were lucky enough to meet both the owners, who were incredibly kind and welcoming. They generously comped our meal, which made the experience even more memorable. They brought out a variety of salsas, guacamole, drinks, tacos, and more--the full experience. I have to say, it was some of the best food I've had in a long time. The birria tacos were absolutely delicious, the salsas paired perfectly with everything, and the guacamole was amazing. Beyond the food, the vibe of the restaurant and the whole area is just great. The space is super cute, thoughtfully designed, and in a really convenient location. It's an easy walk across the street and under the bridge to the Biltmore, and for us, it was right on the main floor of our building. I really appreciate the hospitality that was shown to me and my coworkers. I'm disappointed we're moving away from the WeWork, but I personally will definitely be coming back. read more

Overall: One visit was enough. Glad I tried it, but wouldn't choose to go here again. Ambiance / Decor: Very cute. Great for a social media pic backdrop. "Miami-inspired" - yes it is. Experience: This place needs a dress-code! Some girl came in with her b00bs falling out of her "jean tube top", with full-on n*pple exposure, and spent her time at her table (direct eye-line of where I was sitting) digging into her top to adjust her chest. She should have never been allowed in being dressed so trashy. Menu: *SO over-priced for what we received! *We told our waiter we were going to split different items - but weren't given any plates. Items were delivered, but no one asked if we needed anything else. It wasn't until our waiter came by a few minutes later, to ask how things were, that we were then able to ask for plates. *Guacamole was nothing exciting - I can make it better at home - tasted like it was straight out of package. It's not made fresh b/c one of us can't have onions and we were told the onions can't be removed (if it was made fresh, it should be no problem). *The chicken fajitas had zero sizzle - they were kind of cold. And only came with 4 tiny street-taco-sized tortillas. SO not worth the price! *The enchilada trio was nothing exciting. Not hot either. Didn't come with any extras either - no rice or beans. Another dish not worth the price! *Dessert: 2 tiny churros - good, but we were surprised at how little they were. Beverages: *I was told they didn't have Diet Coke b/c they were out of the syrup, but they had Coke. I was then given a can of Coke and a glass of ice. (If you have Coke in a can, you can have Diet Coke in a can.) *A friend ordered a Coke, but her's came in a glass and was watery. Where was her can? After 30 minutes being seated, had to go to the host stand and ask for a server. Nobody helped us and the restaurant was half empty. The server came and apologized and gave us complimentary frozen drinks and warned us the drinks and food were going to take a long time. The server was extremely polite and that's the only reason I am not giving this a 1 star review. After 1 hour from being seated, our frozen drinks arrived along with the chips and salsa. 90 minutes after being seated our guacamole arrived along with our food. Total time for the meal was 135 minutes. Lucky the drinks were good so we stayed, otherwise I would have left. The server had to get the chips and salsa for us because the kitchen was taking too long. They were out of one of the four salsas, wouldn't have known if the server didn't tell us. The food was good, but it was cold so it had obviously been sitting for some time. The manager seemed attentive to one table only, the same table was seated after us and had their food before anyone talked to us. When this place first opened you couldn't get a table because it was so busy. Now, it's half empty and they can't keep up. If they don't fire that manager, I give this place 3 more months before it closes. Such a shame because it could be an awesome restaurant. read more

I went on Cinco de Mayo (which happened to be on a Tuesday this year - so Taco Tuesday and Cinco de Mayo on the same day). They show tacos on their menu online but when we went they told us they "didn't have tacos today" - WHAT?? In addition it took at least 20-30 mins to get one drink - and we sat at the bar so it wasn't even like we needed a server to come to our table. The margaritas were not made well at all, so we switched to just tequila/soda - which inexplicably they managed to also screw up!! Even this all took over an hour to just get 2 poorly made drinks! We saw our server in 15 minute increments and the food runner who brought our very tiny and very overpriced appetizers was very rude. We ordered the $75 disco ball cocktail for the table to share, it arrived 20 min after we ordered and we were done with our appetizers by then. It was also half full and tasted like the cheapest tequila and margarita mixer you could find. We sent it back after taking one sip. (It wasn't on our table for more than 5 min). The server didn't take it off our bill and instead used an employee discount to take $25 off. We asked for it to be taken off completely as we literally only took a sip. She then said management refused to take it off so she added 2 "influencer comps" to take care of our appetizers. We were celebrating a birthday and didn't want to spoil the night further so we paid and went on our way unhappily.
