For those who don't know fried chicken and potatoes in all shapes and sizes are my kryptonite…read more Frankies hit all the spots for me! The curly fries caught my attention since I usually have to drive 1.5 hours all the way to Arby's for curly fries. Frankies blew my mind! I ordered it two days straight just so I can try the sandwich and then the tenders on its own. For the sandwich I ordered Nashville hot which was meh... I found the Popeyes sandwich to actually be better but the tenders on its own MY MY MY YUMMMMMMM. Especially the dips they have to offer Frankies signature dip, honey dill, and ranch. I HAD THEM ALL ! The winner is definitely honey dill! For the tenders I got HOT AF and to me it was just right. Nothing killer spicy, it was more of a sweet heat with a very pleasant kick to it..... Frankies you have stole my heart and I am going to be a forever customer for as long as you're open! Btw the curly fries are better than Arby's!

I took advantage of the BOGO deal on Uber Eats and bought 2 Chicken Sandwiches ($8.95) and 2 sides of curly fries ($3.99). The chicken sandwiches were DELICIOUS. I got the Nashville Hot option (Choose between No Sauce (Ho Hum), Nashville Hot or Hot AF) and it was the perfect amount of heat. The sandwich itself is made up of 3 chicken tenders rather than one giant piece of chicken (which I kind of liked!). The curly fries were a little soggy because we got it to go but I'm sure if I ate them fresh in the restaurant, they would be hot and fresh. The fries also had some sort of flavouring on them, I think it might be cajun, which I loved! I will definitely buy these sandwiches again or even just the tenders themselves because they were SO good. Side note about the location: Frankie's Hot Chicken is located inside the Lone Star Texas Grill (which I didn't know so I circled around the plaza about 10 times before realizing it was inside Lone Star)

I'd tried Poulet Rouge a couple of times before at other locations, and was happy to know that…read morethey'd opened up in Hillcrest too. It's great to see such a healthy food option in the food court, with generous serving sizes and reasonable prices. We were actually deciding between A&W and Poulet Rouge, when the lady working at the counter lured us with free samples. I'd been curious how spicy the spicy option was, and was able to sample that (it's a reasonable kick -- won't leave you sweating, but plenty of heat), which was great! It really helped us decide to buy bowls here, instead of going for a burger. The store is takeout only, and the display is clean and bright. We bought 1 x 1 flavour rouge bowl, and 1 x 2 flavour rouge bowl. I loved their less-common base and topping options like bulgar, dried cranberries, pineapple, and beets. It's also nice that the toppings are chopped up into smaller sizes, so that each fork/spoonful can be loaded without stuff awkwardly escaping.

And This time I tried the PR poutine bowl as a base. It comes with only 3 choice of toppings but it is beyond delicious. And The service provided was again phenomenal. The cashier was an older male and he was definitely at least the manager or by my guess he was the owner. His service was excellent. Made me feel welcomed And For this and the food I will be back for more great things at Poulet Rouge.

When this Mary Brown's first opened, I was elated. Markham finally has one! I used to visit Mary…read moreBrown's in Mississauga after work. There is one five minutes away from my workplace. The pandemic happened. I worked from home. I haven't had Mary Brown's for a few years. Recently, was in the western end of Markham. I needed to fetch some dinner. I did a search on my Uber Eats app and found a BOGO deal at Mary Brown's. Perfect! The Big Mary sandwich was BOGO. I also got a large mac and cheese, and a small waffle-cut fry poutine. My app stated that it would take fifteen minutes for my order to be ready. I was good taking my time driving northbound along Woodbine Avenue. I needed to make a left turn. I've been to this area before, with Freshii, Pizza Studio, Big Smoke Burger, and more in this plaza. I had an impatient dealer car behind me who honked while there was oncoming traffic and wanted to bypass me to make a turn. I had never seen that move before. If he wanted to get hit by oncoming traffic, be my guest, but don't do a tailspin into my car. I turned left. He gave in and followed suit. Weird. I parked away from Mary Brown's, as there was a tow truck helping out a car closer to the eatery. I realized walking over that I could have parked closer to the entrance. There were spots for pickup orders like mine. I walked in. This eatery is humungous. It was nice seeing St. John's row houses as a backdrop on the wall. I saw a cubicle area where you could pick up orders through the Mary Brown's app. There is a lot of seating and it looked clean. There was a customer ahead of me. I waited patiently before I headed up to the front. I got a nice woman. I showed her my Uber Eats order details. She nodded and grabbed my paper bag with my order. I thanked her and headed out the door. I had my food once I got home. I was excited to have dinner. My Big Mary's sandwich looked small in my hand. I do have large hands. However, this sandwich is a bit deceiving. The chicken was thick. It had a crispy exterior. It was juicy and fully cooked. I loved it. It was filling. The bun with the signature pickle slice on top was yummy. I loved this sandwich so much. I had the other one the following day. I got a large mac and cheese. It's a cold salad. I'm not sure why it has the cheese part in it. It doesn't taste cheesy at all. What's funny is that I don't mind that it isn't cheesy. I like macaroni salad and this version makes me happy. It's creamy and cold. The macaroni is cooked perfectly. I had half the mac and cheese salad during this meal. I had the rest the next day. I consumed all my waffle-cut fry poutine. The cheese curds were stretchy and the real deal. There was lots of gravy, which I love. It was salty, though. Bummer. The waffle fries were yummy. If the gravy wasn't so salty, this poutine would have been excellent. Instead, it was good and I needed a lot of beverages to quench my thirst. It was great finally visiting this eatery. I'm a fan. I need to return for more good eats. (123)

The fries come in different in different colours , with each representing a different flavour. My personal flavour were the yellow and orange colour chicken fries which was turmeric and tomato flavour. The spice level we picked was light and it was for perfect for me - someone who can't really handle much spice The thing I love the most about these chicken fries is it had just the right amount seasoning and crunch too it . Didn't feel really oily either. Price is a tad steep $ 10.05 for fries but since it's actually chicken , it seemed ok . I will go back to buy the actual chicken cup as that seems like a better value and I'll get to pick my fav flavour !

The colouring on the chicken fries is supposed to be natural from ground up ingredient powders. I'm not sure if the owner is taiwanese or mainlander but he was really friendly. Didn't have any tissues and also no washroom at inside this unit, but he went to his CAR and grabbed me some wet naps to clean my hands which was really kind of him. The cutlet itself was breaded well, crispy and the chicken was juicy. The price is kinda steep so if it would've been a lil cheaper I'd award 5 stars. I'm keen to try some chicken fries with cuttlefish or tomato powder on the batter next time. It's a relatively chill spot and I don't think it's as well known as it's competitors, Monga or Hot Star, but it holds its own imo.
