    Daily specials pretty good deals

Giving all five stars I have been living in the neighborhood and chicken kitchen has always been my go to when I feel lazy to cook. Although their price has gone up but their food quality and portion and freshness is what I go their always for.

Not your usual fried chicken joint , Halal certified and everything is breaded and deep fired . Not what I could eat everyday ( cardiologist) but if I could who doesn't love fried chicken 20 pack of wings 13.99 , all options of combo packs and sandwiches are a great value Breading is a traditional crispy outer and I will ask for a dusted option next on my next visit just so it's not so heavy . Crispy outer did NOT hold oil so it stayed crispy on the ride home 2 locations in Scarborough Sheppard Ave E east of McCowan 3715 Lawrence Ave East No I don't work for the family that owns the establishment lol

Been eying this place for awhile and finally got to try it. We got the Chickaron fries as a light…read moresnack . The fries come in different in different colours , with each representing a different flavour. My personal flavour were the yellow and orange colour chicken fries which was turmeric and tomato flavour. The spice level we picked was light and it was for perfect for me - someone who can't really handle much spice The thing I love the most about these chicken fries is it had just the right amount seasoning and crunch too it . Didn't feel really oily either. Price is a tad steep $ 10.05 for fries but since it's actually chicken , it seemed ok . I will go back to buy the actual chicken cup as that seems like a better value and I'll get to pick my fav flavour !

Wasn't feeling chicken fries for a snack as I was exploring the plaza w/ my gf. Decided to go for a…read moretried, tested and true chicken cutlet with special honey sauce. The colouring on the chicken fries is supposed to be natural from ground up ingredient powders. I'm not sure if the owner is taiwanese or mainlander but he was really friendly. Didn't have any tissues and also no washroom at inside this unit, but he went to his CAR and grabbed me some wet naps to clean my hands which was really kind of him. The cutlet itself was breaded well, crispy and the chicken was juicy. The price is kinda steep so if it would've been a lil cheaper I'd award 5 stars. I'm keen to try some chicken fries with cuttlefish or tomato powder on the batter next time. It's a relatively chill spot and I don't think it's as well known as it's competitors, Monga or Hot Star, but it holds its own imo.

Tips: - The best bang for your money is the Woodside…read morespecial that comprises two pieces of fried chicken, fries, a canned drink, and a chicken burger. - The chicken burger has fried chicken pieces. I recommend asking for more mayo because it was dry. Otherwise, it was a solid burger. Back in 2021, during the pandemic, I came to Woodside Square to pick up an order at Pho Xe Lua (rest in peace). I passed by this Call a Chicken stall. I immediately thought of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the game show. I'd like to call a friend. Call a Chicken. It's probably funny to me more than anyone. I'm good with it. I never got food from this stall. My dad surprised me last week by getting me the Woodside special while he was at this mall. My dad is the best. It was the first time that we got food to consume from this stall. If you are eating there, you have the food court to sit down and enjoy your meal. My dad doesn't like eating in public. He'd sooner come home with takeout. In my case, he brought me this delightful meal. He's my Uber dad! The Woodside special consists of these items: - Two pieces of fried chicken - Fries - A chicken burger - A canned drink My dad knows that I like Diet Coke, so he got me a can. It was cold when I drank it. I had the two pieces of chicken first. He got the non-spicy version. I liked it. It had the perfect seasoning. The chicken was crispy and juicy. It was cooked through. So good! I liked the fries. It has light coating around each fry, which was perfectly seasoned. Each fry was creamy on the inside. The chicken burger was excellent. You got fried, boneless chicken pieces. No patty. It came with lettuce and mayo. The bun was soft and had sesame seeds. The chicken was delicious. The only downside was that it needed more sauce or mayo because it was dry. The Diet Coke helped, but I'd ask for more mayo next time. I'd return for more good eats from this stall. Everything was delicious. If there's something strange In the neighbourhood Who you gonna call? Call a Chicken! (152)

After I paid I realised a combo was $1.99 & comes with pop (vs my $3.99 medium fries which were big but still). Plus a paper sign advertised 4 pieces for $10 as a daily special (yet, the TV screen behind advertised 4 pieces for $9.99). So be careful when you order. They offer powders to put on your food: Curry, Cumin, Pepper & Salt and Garlic. These were as advertised (just those powders, so cumin only as opposed to a cumin-based powder) Non spicy chicken pretty good while not outstanding. Spicy was the same with chili flavour. It was quite old so not so good. My medium fries were good - fresh, just a touch greasy & dusted for added bite. The price of fries was somehow not on the menu: Medium fries are $3.99 & small (half size) fries are $2.99.
