Family meal

Came here after keep hearing about it, and we had to try twice before we got an order. The food itself was okay, the chicken has some bitterness due to some extra charcoal on it. The rice has an interesting texture. It has vermicelli mixed it. The charred pepper sauce was great with the chicken. They have an open kitchen, it has a good amount of bar seating, however it does get crowded due to the nature of the place.

Let me tell you, this place was packed. Not a super big store but there was surprisingly some seating and even a washroom. Took about 20 minutes to order and about 20 minutes for the food to come it on a Saturday late afternoon. We got here around 6:15pm and the chicken sold out at 6:45pm. So if you want to try, make sure not to go too too close to closing. At least not while the hype is still high. No online orders, just walk in. Considering everything, the staff are super friendly and you can tell they have a nice smooth operation running. You can see the chicken roasting and since it's so busy, you know the food comes out fresh. We got the full chicken meal which came with a full chicken, 2 sides, 2 sauces, 1 dip, bread and 2 cookies all for $65. A huge amount of food for the price. Fries were crispy and rice was super fragrant. The chicken was so so so good. Really juicy and tasted amazing with the dipping sauce. My favourite sauce was the charred pepper. The labneh was amazing, so flavourful! And you get a lot. Also I love a soft chewy cookie, so I would recommend getting the tahini miso cookie. Honestly I get the hype. Good food, good portions, great price and made by great people.

Been seeing a lot of food influencers visit Mozy's are we were heading in their direction that day so we decided to pop by to pickup some chicken. They do sell out so come early and they are super busy so there will be a wait. They do takeout only and there isn't really any parking nor Uber eats. We were here 3-4 hours before closing and by the time we ordered, 20 min + 20 min waiting on the food, they already had a sold out sign. We got the Full Chicken Meal for $65.00 and it comes with a whole lot of sides/sauces, etc. you get a "Full Charcoal Grilled Chicken w/ Choice of 2 Sides, 2 Sauces, 1 Dip + 2 Cookies, 1 Bread". This was enough to feed 4. The chicken is super juicy and you can really taste the flavor of the charcoal. They have very clean cuts for the chicken and give it to you in basically 4-6 large pieces with some of the wings/drumstick all in one container with its juices. We selected the "Smoked Labneh w/ Brown Butter & Preserved Lemon" dip and it is a silly smooth cream cheese/yogurt dip with black sesame. It went very well with the thick Grilled Flatbread. For the sides, we got the "Basmati Rice w/ Vermicelli & Fried Onions" and super crispy "Steak Cut Fries w/ Chicken Salt". The rice is quite aldente and the noodles is not something that fit our taste profile, but it was a good mix. The fries seems to be fried so long that it's mostly a potato chip/crisp, it is quite oily and filling and so airy. For the sauces, the Charred Pepper Hot Sauce and Cilantro & Lime we both great and brought everything together. The order also comes with 2 Tahini & Miso Cookies which are super soft and sweet/salty. This is definately the way to go to try Mozy's. Will definately grab another meal like this to go next time we pass through and aren't in a rush. Highly recommended.

So good. Best chicken I've ever had. Sauces were delicious. Had both the rice and fries with a whole chicken. Really outstanding

Overall, my experience was alright. Nothing screamed out "Oh I have to go again!" or "let me tell…read moresomeone about this!". The piece of chicken on my sandwich was a rather peculiar piece in terms of its shape. It did not provide an enjoyable eating experience. When I took my first bite, after figuring out which would be an easy bite, a piece of chicken fell out which made me realize it was two separate pieces of chicken inbetween two buns. It got rather messy after having to pick up the fallen pieces. Other than that, it was flavorful but wasn't the best I've had. I prefer Dave's Hot Chicken over this. My fries were pretty salty. If given the option, I would have requested lightly salted or no salt at all. Space was small but understandable as it seemed to be a carry-out spot. Customer service wasn't quite all that. The girl took our order and that was it. Not much of a greeting nor farewell/thanks for coming. We didn't receive a follow-up during our meal to see if we may needed anything. I would have benefited from extra napkins. My friend enjoyed his meal. He stated it was a good meal but he wouldn't go out of his way to get this. He would have preferred to uber-eats it if he lived here. What made me want to go was the name. My last name is the same as the restaurant name so I figured give it a go! Also saw positive reviews on TikTok.

Toasted bun, very nicely constructed, very tender perfectly cooked chicken. We had it spice level HOT the last time we were here and it was just spicy enough to get the lips warm but not enough to overwhelm. The Szechuan taste is a brilliant partner for this southern classic. You can eat in at the counter, or in the summer the patio is a nice place to enjoy your sandwich in peace and soak in the busy Queen West energy just up the street. Love this place, the staff give off a good vibe.

Just a heads up though, if you order "mild" it is still definitely spicy, but in a good way. That said, the service was a big downside. When I went with friends, the place was not even busy, but it still took about 20 minutes for our food to come out (yes I counted because we were in a rush). We only ordered two tenders with no drink. For something that feels like fast food, that is pretty unreasonable. I also went specifically to try the mozzarella sticks, but we were told they had not even started making them and it would take another 40 minutes, which is kind of wild. Even when our food was ready, things moved really slowly. The cashier took SEVERAL minutes just labeling and staring at each box, even though we all ordered the same thing, and then another minute just to put everything into a paper bag. Maybe it was his first day? Another frustrating part was that the washrooms were locked, so we could not even use them while we were there, which was a mild inconvenience, but I think bathroom access in a spicy chicken shop is a bit crucial. On top of that, it is pretty expensive for what you get. Overall, the food is the only thing really saving this place. It tastes incredible, but because of the slow service, locked washrooms, and high prices, I probably would not go back.

The chicken was so juicy and seasoned perfectly, the right amount of heat, I could eat 100 of these sandwiches that's how good they are, it's different than Chicas so I can't compare but it's on the top three as the best fried chicken sandwich in Toronto. I hope this place stays around for a long time because they deserve it, will definitely visit again and eat their amazing fried chicken sandwich.

We also ordered fries and the okonimiyaki wings - fries were soggy but the wings were decent. Staff were nice though. Overall, super disappointed in the food and likely won't order again.

I usually don't like fried chicken because of the greasy skin but Bubba's chicken skin is crispy (as in their name) and not greasy So I love it. The Chocolate Chicken comes with a very slight spicy chocolate and mango salsa; definitely a great combination. The Nashville Hot wasn't too hot but the cool pickles and honey greatly offset any hotness. I also love the the Coleslaw and Mac & Cheese were great. There are small tables and booth seating.
