Tried out most of the items on their menu and this place is a definite must try for fried chicken fans. My favourite are the sandwiches and their wings. The chicken is very crispy, juicy and packed with flavour. Their hot sauce is hotter than I like but tasted good. Their chicken. Wings are cooked fresh and needs lots of time to cool down before eating it. It's well worth the wait because its cooked perfectly. I recommend using a fork.

I got the OG combo and ohhh boy. The sandwich was BIG. The slaw paired so well and their hot sauce had a decent kick (I got hot). The chicken was so crispy while being extremely juicy on the inside. Haven't had curly fries in a long time, they were delicious as well.

Love the spice options and the service! So friendly and considerate. I was splitting a burger and couldn't decide between the different spice so they did half and half.

Unfortunately so incredibly bland. My god. I ordered the Crispy Chick and was expecting to be hit with flavour. Instead the best way I can describe what I got was salty and almost watery. I think they must try to mask the lack of flavour with the spicy glaze. The mayo-based sauce was also tasteless. The best thing was the bun. The atmosphere is awesome, staff is great... just the product is lacking. The chicken recipe needs a complete overhaul.

Solid cheap eats on Ossington. The fried chicken sandwich was SUPER juicy but I think it was slightly overpriced for the size. By the time I got to the end, I found the flavour a little boring. Curly fries were great.

Located in this hipster neighborhood at Queen and Ossington is Ghost Chicken. Got three of the regular wings. The wings were a good size, meaty and juicy. It was cooked to perfection. You get a choice of dipping sauce, I got the dill. The wings taste really good and not too salty. I want to come back and try the spicy wings.

Hot chicken on Ossington? I'll take it. If you're in the mood to chomp on some fried bird, this is a spot worth checking out. The market for Nashville-style hot chicken is pretty fierce in Toronto. Dave's, Chen Chen's, Five Point; you have options. Ghost Chicken carves out its own space with nuggets and dipping sauce, in addition to offering the staples (chicken sandwich, pieces, etc...). The place goes hard on the branding, which is front and centre of the experience. Sleek walls, a well designed logo which takes up the height of the wall. It looks polished, but the emphasis on the brand makes it feel a bit takeouty. The chicken itself is good! I wouldn't say it's better than its competitors. The fry is a bit dark, the spice is a bit underwhelming (even with the OG Fire), the chicken to batter ratio is a bit too friendly towards the latter on the nuggets, but it's a solid snack. Good luck!

Ghost Chicken, a fried chicken restaurant just opened their flagship in the heart of Toronto's Ossington strip. Their fried chicken is SCARY GOOD - crispy & crunchy while juicy inside. All the ingredients are homemade, from the sauces, slaws, and fries. The chicken is halal as well. Beware of their Nashville Fried chicken‼ The ghost pepper seasoning is spicy and make your tongue numb, YUM. Featured: The OG - thick fried chicken, dill cream, slaw, with OG sauce. You can choose your heat from mild, hot, or fire. Their very own OG sauce is delicious!! Nashville Hot - fried chicken thigh, Nashville spice blend & oil, sweet pickles. Lollipops - Fried chicken drumsticks Fried Chicken Bites - fried chicken thigh, spice blend, dipping sauce honey mustard & dill crema Curly Fries - are good but with the honey mustard dip even better. We love how crispy it was; moreover, the fried chicken was so THICK and JUICY. The buns are slap - buttery, soft bread. Don't skip on adding their homemade Honey Mustard dipping sauce on the side, so good. The slaw in the OG gives a perfect balance and nice texture. Curly fries are so unique! Not many fried chicken joint offers it, totally a killer. If you haven't tried Ghost Chicken, you gotta do it soon! The restaurant is spacious enough for you and your friends! Or grab them for a picnic at Trinity Bellwoods as the weather is warmer!

This is a relatively new spot on Ossington that serves chicken sandwiches. Tried the OG, and the sandwich itself was pretty good. The chicken was juicy and tender, as it was a dark meat cut, plus the sauce on the chicken was a 10/10. The price ($11) is a bit much for a small sandwich, but it's definitely a place to check out if you're ever in the area!

Finally got to try ghost chicken last weekend! I got their Crispy Chick. Which is a piece of fried chicken with lettuce and tomatoes, pretty basic. But done right! The chicken got a crispy exterior, and a juicy centre with every bite! What more could you ask for! 9/10 Unfortunately curiously got the best of me and I ordered their Nashville lollipops which were definitely too spicy for me. I legit almost cried. From whatever sensory I had left in my mouth, I could tell it was really crispy and juicy! I was looking forward to the curly fries the most. I got their garlic curly fries but this one fell flat for me. I felt like the fries were fresh, because it was super hot but also kinda hard? Maybe it was refried? The flavours were also kind of just salty.. because everything else was so good I want to believe that this was just a bad batch. But for now it'll be a 4/10.

Curly fries are served in a paper container on a table, with some fries spilling out.

We must have stopped at every restaurant and they were all packed, with long wait times. Darn! The Toronto FC were playing the CF Montréal at the nearby BMO Field. That's why it's so busy! We ended up wandering a little farther north to Levetto, a cozy Italian joint offering pizza, pasta, and wine. This turned out to be a great move because the pizza and pasta that we had were outstanding! It was a nice evening with great weather so we sat on their cozy patio and had some wine while waiting for the food. We enjoyed a great tasting pasta dish! The Pollo Con Zucca, made with tagliatelle, parmesan cream sauce, butternut squash, chicken breast, parsley, and Grana Padano was deeelicious! Known as the Carnivoro, this pizza had tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, braised beef, bacon, and spicy soppressata. The crust was nice, light, and crispy. Outstanding pizza! With great food, excellent service, and a cozy ambiance, I highly recommend this place!

It took them a while to take our order (my beer was more than half done), but the food came out in a decent time. My Amatriciana was packed with so much bacon (almost too much) and the other 2 pizzas were both decent, but not great. -2 points for the broken toilet which my husband and I fixed. There are enough options for Italian in the area, I don't think that I would return to Levetto next time.

I felt like a burrito with chunks of meat in it, which led me to their Roasted Steak menu item. I ordered it with every topping available and requested the hottest spice level. It's fine. There's absolutely nothing within it that blew my mind, but I happily ate the concoction down to the last bite. I will say, though, that the Roasted Steak turned out to be tasteless pulled meat, so that was a little disappointing. And the spice level was far from extreme, unfortunately. I did appreciate that guacamole was provided free of charge. It's a little ridiculous that the majority of burrito joints charge an extra couple of bucks for the stuff, so kudos to you, Fat Bastard, for bucking that dumb, cash-grabbing trend.

Chicken was very juicy and super crunchy, collard needed some acidity, biscuit was light but a little overdone and gravy was not as fat a decadent than in the south, lighter but still tasty, wish they poured it a little more generously. The fried green tomato was outstanding as the accompany silly aioli situation was great. Kids apple jonnycakes were a hit and loved the hot chocolate with mini marshmallows for the kiddos. Gtilled cheese was a hit - got the pull and the bread was well toasted. The home fries were a bit of a let down. Although very cool and layered, they seemed very greasy, maybe oil or flattop wasn't hot enough? Benny's were both good, shrimp cake was well cooked and crisp and brisket was flavourful and moist.
