I was blown away by the amount of communication and education, but also the compassion and care of the team. I just had 2 small cavities taken care of yesterday and I went in there with such ease knowing I was in good hands based on my previous experience with Dr. Akkari. Once again, the whole process was completely pain free and I was out of there in less than an hour (the procedure itself was at most 15 minutes). Also, I cant understand why there are a few negative reviews about their receptionists. Rita has always been super sweet & I can't remember the other ladies name but they have always been super polite and helpful with scheduling, rescheduling, checking in & helping me get a referral to an oral surgeon. On the day of the appointment with the specialist, he canceled just 15 minutes before the appointment. So unprofessional and inconsiderate of patients' busy schedules. Later, we found out he wasn't even within our network, despite the staff being asked to confirm before our appointment. In general, dentists do not provide a thorough review after working on the kids. They never talk to parents about findings or the cleaning overview. They just do the cleaning and send the kids down to the waiting room. They also randomly changed appointment dates & time, giving weak excuses. However, when we tried to cancel my daughter's regular cleaning appointment 24 hours in advance, after she had her wisdom teeth removed by another dentist, they had the audacity to try to charge $86 for the cancellation. After I pushed back, they waived it, knowing they were in the wrong. They really should cater to UPS Teamsters, who are their bread and butter. Overall, their staff, including dentists, are unprofessional, uninformed, and cannot handle patients with excellent insurance. They would rather deal with only Medi-Cal patients. We took our business elsewhere. We are never coming back!

Unfortunately, I ended up dealing with pain for 2 and a half years afterward. I was very scared of dentists, so I kept putting off going back and just lived with the pain. When I finally went to another dentist for a professional check up's, I was told that the cavity had not been properly treated and that I now needed a root canal because the decay had reached the nerve. I'm extremely disappointed that something that could have been treated with a filling ended up becoming a much bigger and more painful issue. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend finding another dental and carefully considering your options before getting treatment here. Please save yourself the money and the pain. ‼UPDATED‼ I actually did call them like they told me to, and honestly the whole thing just made me even more annoyed. They looked me up and clearly saw that I was a patient there, but then the dentist tried telling me that it was a different dentist who treated me and basically tried to make it seem like maybe I went to a completely different dental office and confused the two. And instead of actually taking responsibility or even listening to what I was saying, I felt like they were trying to question whether I was even a patient there in the first place. And basically calling me a liar when my RECORD IS RIGHT INFRONT OF THEM! After dealing with years of pain from a tooth that never even hurt before I got it filled, and eventually needing a root canal, this was the last thing I wanted to deal with. So yeah, based on MY experience, I would seriously recommend going somewhere else. Save yourself the headache, money, and pain because I definitely wish I had.
