From the first time I called to our first visit has been a great experience. Kiana is great with handling all appointments and accommodations. She's very attentive even when she is busy. Our first visit to Aava Dental today was awesome. From the beginning to the end of our visit today we were very well attended. Cheli is very professional and kind. She gently took our x-rays which my daughter truly loved. She is 4 and not the biggest fan of them. Thank you for taking your time with her. Although Heisel was very busy she still took the time to stop and check on me. Thank you for that. The Hygienist Sarah is great and truly an expert. She was very gentle and precise today. My daughter and I had a great cleaning experience with her. Dr. Doca is awesome he did a great job with my dental work and constantly checked to make sure that I was fine. He also reassured me to let him know of any discomfort at anytime. Truly appreciated. The office manager Amanda is very sweet, professional and made the financial part of it all very easy. Thank you! We came to AAVA Dental in Riverside after seeing their booth at UPS, but the experience was horrible. The dentist pushed my daughter to have her wisdom teeth removed. On the day of the appointment with the specialist, he canceled just 15 minutes before the appointment. So unprofessional and inconsiderate of patients' busy schedules. Later, we found out he wasn't even within our network, despite the staff being asked to confirm before our appointment. In general, dentists do not provide a thorough review after working on the kids. They never talk to parents about findings or the cleaning overview. They just do the cleaning and send the kids down to the waiting room. They also randomly changed appointment dates & time, giving weak excuses. However, when we tried to cancel my daughter's regular cleaning appointment 24 hours in advance, after she had her wisdom teeth removed by another dentist, they had the audacity to try to charge $86 for the cancellation. After I pushed back, they waived it, knowing they were in the wrong. They really should cater to UPS Teamsters, who are their bread and butter. Overall, their staff, including dentists, are unprofessional, uninformed, and cannot handle patients with excellent insurance. They would rather deal with only Medi-Cal patients. We took our business elsewhere. We are never coming back! read more

Found this dentist through the Teamsters 1932 union I'm a part of. Went to this dentist office to get a general cleaning and to get a consultation about getting my wisdom teeth removed. As I'm filling out the paperwork, I get to the page about the arbitration agreement where it clearly states that you do not have to sign the agreement to receive dental services. I didn't sign it & I took it out of the packet. Then the receptionist said that particular office doesn't offer dental services unless you sign the agreement. She was condescending and felt that she needed to explain arbitration. I was denied dental services. Wow. read more

My family and I have been going here for a year or so as we moved close in 2019. I will always love the staff here, they are so great with kids and I have personally never had issues. I came from western dental where they poorly fixed a cavity and I ended up with another cavity under it. The dentist did amazing to make sure I was comfortable. Be wary of this place. My husband saw 5 star reviews on Yelp when we were looking for a dentist. After two visits, the office promised $50 off of a dental procedure for a positive review. I was talked into procedures I didn't necessarily need and when the dentist placed a crown in, he didn't do it correctly because cold water was excruciatingly painful. I went back to him and he wouldn't fix it. He kept looking at the x-rays and said it was correct. I had to go to another dentist to have it removed because this one wouldn't take responsibility. The new dentist said to save my money because I didn't need this crown since it was the last tooth in the back and it wouldn't be needed to chew. Aava Dental called us a handful of times after for cleanings and such. No thanks. The office is 5 mins from my house but I drive 40 mins to the new dentist office. That says a lot. As with any overly positive (or negative) review, get informed why they got those stars. A lot of Yelp reviews are not sincere. They are purchased stars. I was a patient a long time ago and made the 5 star review prior to that crown being placed and for the $50 discount. I just stumbled on my posted review and had to edit it. With all the unnecessary pain and out of pocket costs, I wouldn't give any stars if that were an option. read more

All that I can say is that this place is amazing. It is spotless clean and comfortable. The ambiance is relaxing. From A to Z, Jenika made things simple. Had my first visit to Aava dental yesterday and I'm very impressed. I hadn't been to a dentist in a while due to covid so was overdue to get a checkup. The entire staff was very professional and nice and I was able to get xrays, a checkup, several fillings, and even a cleaning all in one visit instead of having to schedule several follow ups. I will be going back for regular cleanings (hopefully no more fillings!) and highly recommend this dentist to anyone looking for an up to date dental office that will take care of everything for you - I even got to sit in a massage chair after my dentist visit while I waited for the dental hygienist to do my cleaning! Used Aava Dental several years ago. Staff is nice, but they aren't trained correctly. Both the filling they did and the crown have failed in a matter of a few years. I have fillings that have lasted over a decade, but there's didn't last a few years. Upon xrays by a more qualified dentist, they determined the surface for the crown is not consistent and it led to some tooth decay where the crown meets the tooth. In addition, they decided to wait 10 months to try billing my insurance and let their contract with my insurance lapse. This created more headaches since now my insurance paid me their contributions and I had to them take that money to Aava. Overall poor management here and I don't think they're hiring the best of class when it comes to their staff. Sure you'll save some money, but is saving any money worth it if you have to spend even more to fix there mistakes? Stay away from Aava. read more
