I had an initial appointment I had to rescheduled and when I called back to reschedule, they claimed I never was a "new" patient and they never had my information. I had to give my information again, which I did not mind. I told them specifically I was referred by a "specific" mutual doctor in hopes that they will reach out to this doctor to retrieve my current, recent X-rays and referral letter. I didn't realize I had to bring the physical referral in. I had asked about their consult fee but was told they don't know until they look into my insurance and they will call me back with that info, never received that call back. The day of my appointment, the receptionist asked if I had my referral and I apologized and told her I did not. She made a comment about how are they going to know which tooth/teeth to look at. That I would have to wait for her to email or call my dentist for the referral... in my head, I'm thinking why haven't this been done yet?? Luckily the wait wasn't long. They took X-rays so I'm assuming the ones they probably received from my dentist was not what they needed, which i could understood and should have question prior to, but I didn't. My fault. After meeting and talking to Dr. Karr about my treatment plan, we decided to extract and not retreat (thank goodness) I paid and left. About 1 month after my appointment give or take, I received a bill from them so I called to see what it was for. I was told someone will reach out to me. After a few days, they reached out but I was not able to pick up. I returned the call and was informed the bill was for my X-ray the insurance did not cover. I asked why they didn't reach out to my dentist because he took the exact same "scan" right before I saw them. They told me my dentist didn't send it to them so therefore they took theirs. I wasn't going to argue because apparently they need that more than me. SO FOR THOSE WHO WILL BE GOING TO THIS PLACE OR ANY DENTAL SPECIALTY OFFICES know that almost all specialists will require some sort of consult fees! Ask for fees! Asked if you've had a recent scan or X-ray taken can they use it and for them to retrieve it from your dentist so you don't pay for what your insurance already paid for!

The first one was a horrible experience. It took three visits, and all were excruciating. The next two root canals were much better, but that dentist has retired. So as I entered the RC Endodontics office, I was pretty scared. I cannot fully express how wonderful everyone was there. Evelyn, at the front desk, welcomed me and went over the paperwork including the charges. She was friendly, honest, and did not rush. It gave me an immediate feeling of confidence that this was going to be as painless a process as it could be under the circumstances. The wait was not long. Dr. Parmar and her assistant Lexi ushered me into the room where the procedure was to take place. They both were incredibly kind and did everything in their power to make me comfortable before even beginning their work. Dr. Parma explained everything to me, using the giant TV in the room to display my X-rays. No shots are fun, but the novocaine injections were not horrible, and they were the last pain I felt. Lexi held my hand. Dr. Parmar kept checking to see if I was OK, and even made me laugh. They both gave me sips of fruit juice. From start to finish took about two hours. Eight hours later, I am still in no pain. I have never had a medical experience in which I felt so nurtured and cared for. Dr. Parmar, Lexi, Evelyn and another receptionist whose name I didn't get are absolutely wonderful. I can't praise them highly enough. Oh, and did I mention that the rooms have giant TVs?

Please be aware that this office charged me over $100 for a consultation fee without informing me about the fee before the appointment. I understand that consultation fees may apply, but I believe patients should be clearly informed about any out-of-pocket charges before their appointment, especially when insurance information has been provided in advance. As a courtesy to patients, I strongly believe the office should disclose the consultation fee beforehand so patients have the opportunity to understand and agree to the charge before receiving the service.

I wanted to correct the movement with clear aligners rather than going through braces again. After about a year of treatment, I couldn't be happier with the results. Looking back after experiencing both traditional braces and Invisalign, I believe Invisalign was the better choice for me. I also wish I had gone directly to Smile Builder Dental from the beginning. In hindsight, I feel it may have saved me time, discomfort, and expense. Most importantly, my experience here gave me confidence that I was receiving thoughtful, patient-centered care every step of the way. From my very first visit, everyone at Smile Builder Dental was welcoming, friendly, and professional. The entire team made every appointment a pleasant experience, and I always felt that they genuinely cared about achieving the best possible outcome. I documented my progress with weekly photos throughout treatment, and near the end I had questions about the position of one lower incisor. Dr. Park took the time to carefully review my concerns, explain why the final trays intentionally overcorrect rotation before the teeth naturally settle, and answer every question without ever making me feel rushed. I truly appreciated his patience, honesty, and conservative approach. It was clear that he was focused on achieving the best long-term result rather than simply finishing treatment as quickly as possible. The digital scanning process for my retainers was fast, comfortable, and seamless, and I left feeling confident that my smile was in great hands. I am truly grateful to Dr. Park and the entire Smile Builder Dental team for their exceptional care, professionalism, and attention to detail. Whether you're considering orthodontic treatment for the first time or need to correct teeth that have shifted after previous orthodontic treatment, I highly recommend Smile Builder Dental. Thank you, Dr. Park and the wonderful staff, for giving me a smile that I'm proud to keep for years to come.

An hour later, after Dr. Rana Skaff had pronounced "root canal, retreatment" of my bottom R rear molar, I was headed to Dr. Jack Yu and his team of pros at Grandview Endodontics. Everyone that I interacted with, from Office Manager DARLENE to dental nurses JUDY and UELSY to the (very) good doctor himself were consummate pros. They nimbly squeezed me in for a 1:30pm appt despite never hearing of me til 10:30am. They took their diagnostic X-Rays with gentle yet efficient care, treating the swollen, painful tooth; the pain so gnarly it was radiating to my jaw bone and pulsing in perfect synchronized time w/ my heartbeat. Dental Nurse Judy and Dr. Yu work beautifully together! Watching them -eyeballs close yet strangely detached due to multiple rounds of local anesthesia administered- is like watching an orchestra. Each person anticipating the other's need then flashing forward to meet it. I was in the chair, from diagnostic X-Rays to finance/insurance docs to actual treatment, from 1:45pm til 3:35pm. Time immeasurably well spent considering the world of misery I was in for the preceding 48hrs 'til I could get treatment. Pro Q- Is it meeeh or do most infections requiring root canal start on the weekend, when the vast majority of dentists/endodontists are unavailable?! Pro Tip- Dr. Yu is a major proponent of utilizing Gentle Wave / Clean Flow technology as an accompaniment to his root canals. Let him!!! "I may not always choose to squander the day strapped to an endodontist's chair getting a root canal .... but when I do, it'll be with Dr. Yu!"
