30 minutes before the movers were supposed to be at my house to start packing, Tony calls and says he doesn't have me on the schedule. When I say that I have an email verifying the date and time, he says it's not on the calendar. I reminded him that he was the one that emailed me the confirmation, and then he lies and says they had a computer virus. Funny, I didn't know computer viruses affected Gmail (seriously?) I would have appreciated honesty and just admitting there was a scheduling error on their part. But don't lie to my face. This isn't 1995 and we all know computer viruses don't magically delete emails. Luckily I was able to find the email and forward it to him, and then find new movers within a few hours. I asked that they bring the Dryer Duct along and because the screw was too tight the mover (without my consent) cut the duct out above the fastener, ruining the duct for the next person. They said me asking to "bring" the duct was consent to do whatever they needed to do and I had to repair the duct myself for the next home owner. At the end of it, I signed a contract for $420 but was charged $584 because they said they screwed up their math. The actual moving part was fine. read more

I received the worst service ever from caliber moving company. The crew didn't get to our house until 930 am and start filling out paperwork Grant said l was not on the clock until they started work l was charged for that time. The guys took 2- 20 minute breaks 1/2 hour to eat l bought them that l was charged for. It took the guy an hour to drive to the delivery address that was 15 miles l was charged for and Tony pulled the crew off the job and didn't finish my move. The crew broke my desk and Grant said he would file a claim and no claim was filed. Parts were lost to my daughter's head board to her bed. Tony the owner sold me on his so called customer service and taking care of veterans and in reality he uses the term veterans to get jobs. Tony is nothing but a liar and thief. Caliber moving quit in the middle of the job and leave the hanging. They are a scam. Tony the owner of caliber is a liar and thief. The move l was quoted 900 dollars and 7 hours took of 9 and 3/4 hours and they quit and did not finish my move. The owner of caliber moving Tony is a scammer using veterans in vain. I tipped the crew 20.00 each hoping not to be left stranded in the middle of the job and l furnished all of there drinks and was left stranded anyway. I'm down in my back under doctors care,not supposed to lift over 10 lbs and was left to finish my move. read more

Want to say what an incredible job these guys did. They sent me a conformation text the night before and the morning of the move to let me know ETA. They discussed what would be going to storage and what was going to the house Everything went very smoothly. They took great care with my antique furniture and placed furniture where I wanted. I have used this company a few times in the last 15 years and I have always been very satisfied with the moves. I would recommend them to family and friends. Grant and Tye helped us move all the belongings in our 2bed/2bath apartment to our new place between the hours of 10AM-1PM, and they did an exceptional job. Not only were they friendly and accommodating, but they took plenty of care to pack our belongings carefully in their vehicle. Completely unprofessional. I had an appointment for this morning. It was raining and thundering pretty badly, so they called and said that we would move it out to later in the day. I understood this, completely and was actually happy that my stuff would make it to my new place dry. I get a call and they completely canceled and tried to change my moving day. WHAT? Why? Because it rained earlier in the day. That's right--earlier in the day. I have to be out of my house TOMORROW. I had to scramble and try to find another mover last minute. None of the other companies I called had any problem with the fact that it had rained this morning. The four of the other moving companies that I called suggested that Caliber probably has illegal folks working for them, which is why he was so concerned about them Tony is a really nice guy on the phone, but they need to reevaluate their work ethics and business practices. A wet staircase in an apartment complex should not stop a professional mover from doing their job. Thanks for making my move even more stressful, Caliber. read more

This moving company deserves NO stars for the most terrible customer service. They were probably one the most professional moving companies I have ever dealt with....NOT!! TONY gave us a quote for $250 to move a refrigerator between the hours of 11-2pm. Except, that we were never given an ETA but had to text him back and wait 30 min for him to send a time frame. At 2:02, (past the allotted time for pick-up) he then TEXTED to say "there is a going to be a fuel fee of $35. if you AGREE we will PROCEED." He was quite the gentleman to tack on added services after the inital quote and agreement of $250 and after the time the refrigerator was suppose to be picked up!!! The CALIBER of service has been quite exceptional! After expressing to him that I wish he would have put that added charge in the initial quote, TONY then TEXTED to say "your obviously upset SO WE WILL NOT BE SERVICING YOU TODAY!" Meanwhile, multiple parties involved in the re-location of this refrigerator wasted a majority of their day sitting around waiting on this promised pickup and delivery. But now I realize this was all a blessing in disguise. I then called another moving company (Texan Movers), after I was told the "bad" news, and was quoted HALF the price and the owner was VERY professional and the job was done in the time frame given. So in the end, thank you Caliber Moving Co for SUCKING at customer service and SAVING me $145!!!!! read more

So this guy that I dated used this moving company to move his stuff from a storage unit to his new place when he got back from deployment. We got to the Fort Hood area about an hour early so, we decided to hang around town and get a coffee. They called his cell phone and said they would be about an hour late meeting us at the storage unit. We figured ok well we will go do some shopping in the meantime. Then they never called and we were waiting at the storage unit so, he called and nobody answered. About an hour later they finally called and said it would be another hour. We rolled our eyes and decided to take a nap in the car at the storage unit while we waited. They finally showed up 4 hours after we were scheduled to meet them. This is highly inconvenient for someone who is traveling to meet them and me who had to be at work! By the time they loaded up which took forever, we got back to Austin an hour before I had to go into work. I went home and changed and stopped back to see how everything was going and they had only moved one or two things off the truck and into the apartment in the 40 minutes that I was gone. They were late, slow, out of shape and even broke a couple of items. He was really mad and unhappy that he had to pay the full rate after all of the nonsense but, was just happy it was over and finally done. I wouldn't recommend using them if you want someone to be on time and not break your stuff! read more

HORRIBLE! DO NOT USE THEM. First off they got our move date wrong and were planning to show up a day late. Second they sent two guys, who looked like they had never moved before, who intentionally took their time moving. Prime example - Each one carried two small throw pillows to truck and rode up/down truck lift. I have never had such horrible movers. Then they spent about 10 minutes at front door trying to get refrigerator through the door and completely tore up door and door frame. Then left the house without ever discussing the damage with me. I am trying to get reimbursed and have been told I need to wait at least week and half until owner returns from vacation to start paperwork. Seriously! Stay Away!!! read more

We recently moved from Hutto to Round Rock and I had decided that for this move, I was going to have someone else help with moving all the big heavy stuff. After shopping around, I decided on Caliber Moving and scheduled my move with them. I then found some reviews online and felt very nervous. However, due to an issue with my new house, I was forced to call and reschedule my appointment at the last minute. Tony was completely understanding and rescheduled my appointment for the following Monday with no problem. When Monday rolled around, he called me first thing in the morning to ask if I wanted to reschedule due to the rain. He said they could definitely move me, but that it was up to me. I opted to reschedule again, so my move was pushed to Thursday. I don't know how many movers would have been so accommodating to my schedule, but Tony was great. On Thursday, the day of my move, I got a text from Tony first thing in the morning letting me know that I'd be receiving a call from his guys as soon as they were on their way. About half an hour later, I got the call that they would arrive within 30 min. Great communication all around. When the movers (Grant and John) came in and went over the paperwork with me and then walked through my house with me taking inventory of everything I wanted them to move...what stayed, what went, etc. The first part of that process took 20 min or so. After that, the guys went to work loading everything in the truck and worked almost non-stop loading, only taking breaks for water. I will say that the contract is a bit daunting with all the things regarding what's covered, not covered, how much items are insured for, and etc. Be sure to read it and that you understand / agree to it. These guys had quite the job with my stuff...clothes washer, dryer, treadmill, elliptical, bowflex, dresser, 3 beds were all upstairs as well as all of my other big furniture and fridge from downstairs. All the items they moved completely filled their 26 ft box truck. After getting to my new house, they were excited to learn that the exercise equipment stayed downstairs. :) They carried all my stuff to the new rooms, reassembled everything and made sure I was happy with the placement of the furniture before they left. I was extremely worried about the move and how much of my stuff would be broken. With any move, I feel that some damage should be expected. I've never moved myself without scratching something or breaking something. In my case, only a couple of items were damaged and the damage was completely cosmetic and didn't really matter. However, the guys brought it to my attention themselves which I appreciated rather than leaving it for me to discover. I felt like they did everything possible to protect my belongings as well as the new house. They went as far as throwing packing blankets over my stair railings to protect those as well as putting padding on the door frames to ensure that going in and out of doors, the doors and furniture weren't damaged. All in all, my move took approximately 7 hours to complete including the inventory, loading, driving to new house, unloading, and reassembly. During that time, Grant and John never took more than a few seconds to grab a drink of water. Even my neighbors commented later about how hard they were working! If you're looking for movers, I highly recommend going with Caliber and requesting Grant and John for your move! read more

A friend recommended me to these guys, and I will have to say I would recommend them to others as well. They were punctually and very courteous. They come with paperwork and go over details about the move so you know exactly what your getting into. The movers Grant and James were great! They did not slack off and were very mindful of your time as they are very aware that you a paying for by the Hour. I had about 2 car garage full of stuff and they were able to move everything within 3 hrs with time to spare to help put things together. I originally moved everything into storage with a few friends and a Uhaul. That was an all day event since friends tend to take breaks a lot, or were not as in shape as they once were :). Also renting the Uhaul with the gas, insurance, and extra rental time due to a long moving day wasn't worth it. With hiring these movers I was able to have enough time to enjoy our new home all weekend. read more

Is there a way to give this company half a star? They don't even deserve that. The men that moved my moms furniture were not only saying inappropriate sexual things to me and my aunt like, "why didn't you sleep with me last night?" And "dang baby your momma didn't tell me she had a daughter like you." but they were also down right rude all together. Let's not mention the SEVERAL things they broke. Cracked the washer, DROPPED the dryer in the drive way trying to carry it by himself, one of my mothers favorite paintings, and the list goes ON AND ON. When we tried to call and fix the issues the boss turns around saying its OUR fault. These issues keep happening, seems like a reoccurring issue, huh boss? Poor excuse for a business. I was charged for the driver having to run down keys. It was explained to me there was an extra charge for having to go back to the storage facility office and get the correct keys. I do not agree with this charge as it was the drivers fault for not recognizing the name on the keys was not correct. If he had noticed this error there would have been no additional time spent tracking down keys. The contract stated additional fees for labor like major mechanical problems and flat tires. I agree this could be a legitimate fee. However contract did not state charges would be applied for driver errors. I wouldn't recommend using Caliber Moving Transport Co, the quoted price changed 4 times by the time our load was taken to the destination almost doubling from the original amount. The last time it was increased was half way through the move and when we questioned the increase his reply was that he could drop our load on the side of the road if we didn't agree. I wish I would have went with a more honest company but I guess you live and learn. I am glad the experience is behind us and we are enjoying our new rv. read more

NEVER, NEVER, I MEAN NEVER, USE THIS COMPANY! If I could give them ZERO stars I would. We hired Caliber movers to move us on 10/10/2015 from Georgetown to Round Rock. The movers broke my white z gallerie desk...not sure how they packed it, but it's scratched, scuffed, and broken upon delivery. My desk is now being held together by tie downs! My black z gallerie dresser has also been damaged beyond repair from this move. My floor standing z gallerie vase was also broken. My brand new washer and dryer is now scratched and dented.. I let Tony know during the move that these items had been damaged/broken and he just kept saying refer to the "brochure".....I just got off the phone with him 10/15/2015 regarding my broken items and he stated he will not be paying for anything that was damaged other than my vase because we have moved 3 times in the last year and his guys are not responsible. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!? I can GUARANTEE that my things were not broken prior to this move. Had his movers done an inventory like they are suppose to the would of clearly noted nothing I own is damaged! NOTHING until now! Isn't the reason we hire movers is so that we can have our things delivered in the condition they were in when the movers arrived?!
