I was in a car accident on March 27,2023. My car has been at the Spring Valley location since March 28,2023. The estimated completion date given to me was May 26, 2023 due to "the parts needed". I was told that the date was just an estimate an have been receiving text / voicemail updates from Jorge who has been nice. April 11, 2023: hello this is Jorge with Caliber Collision to keep you informed with the repairs on your vehicle , Geico insurance just aprroved repairs on your vehicle we did ordered parts, when the parts arrive we will call you for an other update. So we're not really expecting that damage. Um, but we're gonna be calling you to give you more updates. But, uh, so I, I didn't wanna waste more time, just wanna call you right away when we find out that the, uh, alignment was not performed what they perform. It was not succeeded past. Thank you. You have a wonderful day." I don't usually post complaints but this has been too long without a vehicle in San Diego. If you need your car back in a timely manner I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND this location. I let Jorge know that I wasn't happy about how long my car has been there. I let him know I'd be posting a review and he stated that the reason for this time delay is due to "parts suppliers". I stopped in the shop today with a wheel arch plastic trim piece that had fallen of a friends 2015 Rogue. The previous day I was at a Nissan dealer parts department try to get the proper fasteners and clips to reattach the trim. I wasn't able to get the clips but the guys there were as helpful as possible. That brings me back to Caliber. I was greeted and ask if someone there might be able to help with clips that might work and Jesse spoke with me and took the part back and after a few minutes came back with clips attached to all the missing areas. I offered to pay for the clips but he said no charge. I was saved the endless driving around to parts stores or dealerships trying to buy or order clips for the trim. I was involved in a car accident where I was rear ended. There was significant damage to the trunk area and the rear window was completely shattered. After speaking with the insurance adjuster, he set up an appointment and scheduled my car to be taken to Caliber Collision Spring Valley. Upon arrival, I checked in with the reception ladies who had me fill out some paperwork. They were really welcoming and explained each document thoroughly prior to signing. I then met with Service Advisor Sebastian. He was extremely friendly and empathetic about the accident. He explained the repair process and estimated the time of completion in 2 weeks. I was already impressed with the customer service and ease of the process. The best part of is the convenience of Enterprise rental car as they had a vehicle ready for me onsite. The enterprise representative provided the documents ready for signature and it was a seamless and easy process. When I left, I felt at ease and knew my car was in good hands as everyone was friendly and professional. I started to receive texts the same day from the Service Advisor Sebastian regarding updates about my car's progress. Each text provided details and status of the vehicle. I was impressed eith the constant communication and received a detailed quote in less than 24 hours!! The estimated time of completion was 2 weeks. One thing I was adamant about was ensuring the year window wax re-tinted since it had been tinted prior to the accident. Thankfully, my insurance authorized Caliber Collision to do the tint. To my surprise I received a text that my vehicle was completed and only took 8 business days from the time of drop off!! Once I picked it up, the car was detailed and looked like a showroom vehicle and couldn't even tell it was in an accident. Sebastian admitted there was a lot of damage but the overall frame was in good condition. I inspected the vehicle and noticed an area of paint that looked rough and not as smooth, which Sebastian said could be repaired if need be as there is a lifetime warranty so long as I own the car. I also tested the trunk to ensure it opened and closed smoothly, which appeared to at the time but I was a bit critical as it didn't sound as smooth upon closing as before the accident. I didn't want to worry about those two areas too much, as the overall warranty, repair, workmanship and customer service were excellent. I was satisfied with the quality of work. He ensured me if I price any problems to bring it back. For extra peace of mind on the quality of repairs, I had a friend who happens to be a mechanic evaluate the repair work. He was impressed with the overall work of Caliber Collision but pointed out the trunk closure not being as smooth and the area of paint not being smooth-the same two areas I noticed upon pick up. He said that I should have it repaired, especially since they have been paid, which I agreed and planned to call Sebastian to arrange a time to bring the car back to address the trunk and paint. A few days passed and I noticed what seemed to be the trunk rattling like it was not latched or closed all the way. I didn't notice it at first because I usually play music in the car. I contacted Sebastian about the trunk and the paint job. Without hesitation, Sebastian advised me to bring my car back. I was worried about the length of time it would take but Sebastian assured me that they would evaluate the car and if need be, schedule a time to repair so that I wouldn't be without my car and need a rental. I brought my car back a week after pickup and amazed how I again was treated. Even the manager came out to greet me and remembered me from the day I picked up my car and assured they would take good care of me and my car. Once Sebastian arrived I showed him the painted area, which he would show his paint person. He did say that the only area they painted was the bumper, but there were also some rough paint areas at the rim of tire frame as well that I assumed they did, but Sebastian iterated that part of the car was not damaged. I also explained that the trunk rattles and doesn't close smoothly. He took my car for a test drive and discovered it was my license plate and holder making the noise. He said once they seal the license plate and plate holder in place, the rattling should stop. As far as the paint, they went above and beyond and smoothed out the paint that had rough areas including tire rim area which they said they didn't work on. Once we test drove the car, the rattling was gone. I was once again extremely impressed with the overall quality customer service and experience. Sebastian had the best bedside manner and treated me with genuine care and concern. Being in a car accident is stressful and traumatic but am so thankful that Caliber Collision Spring Valley and all the employees, especially Sebastian went above and beyond to get my car and me back on my way to feeling normal again. read more

Came here because Geico had designated this location as a all-in-one and I enjoy the idea of minimal hassle. Lisa is at the front desk - and was such a sweet heart. I came in super early one day because I realized I left my work badge, and personally went back and grabbed items for me from the car. Lisa also was the first to call to let me know that the car was being worked on. Sergio is my case manager, and ensured excellent communication between me, Caliber, and Geico. He called me every 2 days, over the course of my repair timeframe, to keep me updated at every turn. Beyond Sergio and Lisa, other staff members were more than welcoming as they answered questions for me. In such a frantic time, I found so much comfort in knowing that the repairs team has me covered every step of the way. All in all, from the from tow-in, order placement, part delays, to me picking up the car, it was 21 days! My car was cleaned and washed, and looked brand new! I selected this shop to fix some body damage incurred when I lent my sister my vehicle. This was one of my insurances preferred garages , and i selected due to location being convenient to me. I was able to get an appointment really quickly. They did an amazing job in matching paint, and repairing scratches and dents, and the staff was amazingly friendly. I only knock down one star due to the amount of time it took, but I think that's mostly due to numbers of vehicles they are repairing and staffing issues. read more

The level of disrespect I received from a company that my insurance referred me to, is unacceptable. Adjusters and management are completely disrespectful and do not care about the quality of work. Long story short caliber collision had to rebuild the entire front end of my challenger. The unprofessionalism I received after having to bring my car back over and over (more then 4 times), due to parts not lining up squeaking noises going under 10 miles an hour, Fenders excess fisheye and damaged. Hood lineament off, condensation inside of headlights. Etc. I just want my car fixed. I went back today 7/1/22 and was completely disrespected by the manager at the location, I explain to him over and over again that "every part that you installed. I had to bring the car back for you to fix" I explained to the manager that the spoiler that was installed on my car most likely was defective due to me driving on the highway, and the fender was swallowed underneath the car creating excessive damage from snapping in half. Before accepting my story as a customer coming to you! I was constantly rudely cut off by the manager as he explained to me over and over again that I took the bumper off myself or snatch the bumper off myself or someone had possibly tried to steal it and they damaged the bumper. so that they are not liable to replace or to do anything about it. Not only that. I also explained to them that it shouldn't be safe for me to leave with the car that has moisture in front of a headlight the last thing I need is electronic issue or a short circuit of anything in my car. Please let get a rental. I was told no and I had to pick up the car today and bring it back once they have the part in stock on Wednesday! This location sent me an email eight days prior to my scheduled appointment, which listed the Make/Model of my vehicle as a Tesla Model Y. I wait eight days, depart work early, and drive out of my way just to find out that they are not certified. They didn't see me drive up in my car, they simply did not look at the paperwork until I arrived. I'm sure they do good work, but need to tighten up on their administrative processes. read more

My car was hit on the passenger side I decided to bring it cause it's really close to us. i picked up my car after they told me its all done . After driving it for a day I noticed that there was a noise clicking so I complained and told them its not safe, So they said that they have to replace the LT axle/ Housing , RT mount and front Mount, it took them almost a month i had to follow up so Geico can release the funds that they requested after picking it up i told them the noise is still there the problem that i felt when i was driving it . I even drove my car with their supervisor Chuck so he can personally hear what i was talking about. They don't give you any guarantee on their repairs what he was telling me that if the problem is not accident related then i have to pay for the diagnostic test . They didn't do right the first time they didn't do it right the second time. Im not a mechanic but these people are so stupid that they don't know how to do their job right. Its unsafe for my family to drive because they they didn't fix it right. They should have disclosed it if the problem is not related I don't mind paying for it out of my pocket but no. They said that everything is ready to go . Very bad company don't bring your damaged car here find some other body shop that will take care of you and has the concern to satisfy their customers expectations. read more

I was referred by State Farm Insurance to this place. I took my 2019 VW Atlas to have the rear bumper repair and when I went to pick it up I saw a huge variation on the color. They were giving a lot of excuses, that it was the sunlight, the shade, the angle you are looking at it from etc... I also found some scratches that were not on the car before and were not documented in the vehicle check in form, however when I point that out they had the pictures ready and only showed me a couple of pictures, but on the camera roll was missing the rest of the pictures that were taken when I originally took the car, so I don't know if they noticed that those scratches were done at their place and took the pictures of the scratches as if they were taken when I drop off the vehicle. Lastly, the chrome moldings that goes around the bumper were not installed properly. I am extremly disatisfied with the quality of work they did to my SUV. Worst thing is that I was hit by someone and even though their insurance is paying for it, I am stuck with this issue. Any suggestions?? read more
