Caliber collision is the absolute WORST place ive ever been to. 1. They didnt fix the damage to my…read morecar which is what it was there for. 2. They painted rocks into my car. 3. They lied about my car being aligned. Ive got the paperwork saying its aligned but the other shops said it wasn't. My insurance is having a field day with them. And their GM? Yeah, he said he would fix it by "going the extra mile" to fix the paint on my car. As if that wasn't something he was already liable for. Ruby told me to even go to the mechanic that they use and speak to him because she had no idea what was actually wrong with my car and this guy's down the street. She told me to literally leave their facility and go down the street to ask about what's wrong with my car. This is the most unprofessional, least skilled, and mismanaged place I've ever been to. And every single other shop says the same thing about them as well.

Good Afternoon, I…read morewould like to express how grateful I am to have visited the Caliber Collision Center in La Mesa. I had initially taken my car to another body repair shop nearby to have my front end painted and some dents removed. I became extremely dissatisfied over the next few days with the manager and his poor communication skills. Over a two-day period, I would receive a phone call about another so-called issue with my car that should have been explained initially. The last straw was when they removed my front bumper then told me it had been glued on and that they didn't want to take the risk of putting it back on with screws since it wasn't something they were comfortable with doing. I then took my car to Caliber Collision and from the very beginning, Alfredo (Perez) listened to my concerns and then took the time to carefully explain about the parts needed along with the estimate. He made sure that all of my questions were then answered to the fullest. I was very impressed with his level of expertise and professionalism. After making the decision to drop off my car, he made sure to contact me daily on its status to keep me abreast of any changes. In the end, I received another front bumper which was painted and all of the dents and scratches were removed. My car looks brand new, and the final repair cost was very affordable. If I had left my car at the other shop, it would have been way more and none of my other concerns would have been touched without having to pay thousands more and I'm pretty sure I would have been stuck with my old front-end bumper. I would highly recommend Caliber Collision on Center Drive in La Mesa and ask for Alfredo. My sincere thanks to both him and everyone who worked on my car. I'm a customer now for life. Mary S. Repairs would take several weeks, so I rearranged my entire work and school schedule to go without a car for that timeframe and set it all up for an appt in Feb. I go to drop off the car for repairs and now get told that they won't do the repairs because there's a scratch on the left corner panel (which has always been there) and they're worried about giving a lifetime warranty and blending paint. Why didn't they say this in December! Now I have to start the process all over. Their word (and written estimate) are no good! Don't waste your time.

I heard subtle sound and as I pulled off to the next exit my stomach sank seeing the damage. I quickly drove back home and contacted my friend that has a clear bra shop and he recommended Mark at Philip Thearles Autowerks. I got Marks number and gave him a call. He really helped me through the whole process and made me feel much more comfortable then what I was anticipating. Mark answered all my questions and gave me everything for the next step. Truly this was the best person to handle my situation since I do not trust really anyone. This car has been with me for 10 years and it holds a special place for me. I never dealt with this before on such an expensive vehicle. Fast forward Mark was kind enough to pick up the car, send me the estimate all within a few hours before the end of the day. He also had the bumper(main damaged area) off and checked to asses any other damage that could not be seen. He submitted everything to the insurance and I really did not have to do anything other than a phone call to my insurance and a couple emails. Following the next week the parts were ordered since the approval was done. I got text and picture updates of everything that was happening. I really appreciated this as I like to document the whole process. You really can tell Mark and his shop care about customer service and making you feel at ease. What I can say about the final end of the repair since a new bumper had to be ordered and repainted in Lava Orange. It looks like nothing happened! It looks better than Brand new. The paint matches exactly the rest of the car. Another thing that I was a bit worried but as you can see in some of the photos, you cannot tell the difference. When the car was ready I got a nice tour of the huge facility that is state of the art and they are Porsche certified! I am truly thankful for Mark and the shop getting this done within less than a month. I really do appreciate the whole process. No one wants to go through this but Philip Thearles Autowerks is the place to go for your automobile repairs / body shop.
