I have taken my vehicle twice for repairs under insurance. The first time I took it in there were unnecessary parts replaced. I asked to see every part replaced and was always given the run around. The lighting to my Lexus IS 300 was never the same as before when I took it in. I was told all parts were new which we found out they were used but they billed my insurance as new. The second time, I had to take it to them again because my paint was cracking from the first time. My car was there for at least 1 1/2 weeks while I was paying for a rental. All necessary parts were not ordered correctly. To make long story short.... They had to take my car to another shop to fix all the alerts that it had from the accident. I was told that some one took off the "sensors" to my tires. Really????? From a small rear end . How is this possible? My husband who luckily is a mechanic quickly reacted to them and told them how is that possible. I will be contacting my Insurance to make sure they didn't charge things that weren't even done. read more

Mike is a jerk. I expressed I had issues with them before on matching the color on my mom's car when i took my car to get appraised for my own repairs and basically just said how I don't want it to take forever. I call and try to schedule after receiving the estimate and they tell me AAA didn't give authorizations. Get a call from my insurance the next day saying they just don't want to do the work because I'm an upset customer and hadn't even dropped off the car. Instead of trying to improve my customer service experience, they just elected to take the easy way out. Ultimately, I'm going with Tag Collision down the street. I have used caliber collision twice at two different locations but this one in San Marcos really needs improvement ... They were suppose to fix and paint my right rear side , when I got it back there was scratches and dings on my passenger side door which is the same side they where working on, I rarely to never have passengers therefore the passenger door hardly ever gets open , but in this occasion passenger side was the center of attention ... I let them know and all they did was touch it up with more paint, he said " you can't even see it" ya right when it's your car you notice everything... Throughout the duration it took to complete the repairs, Vern at Caliber Collision kept me updated. The repairs took 2 1/2 weeks longer to complete than first estimated due to delays in getting parts & the volume cars they had to work on. I told Vern that I was going out of town soon & that I needed my car by a certain date. Vern made sure that my repairs were completed in time for my trip. I will try to keep this short but I could say so many good things about the staff at Caliber Collision. When my Genesis coupe got rear ended I was crushed, I thought it would never be the same. I was very skeptical that my car could get fixed to my expectations, but after meeting with my adjuster Micheal Betancourt my trust and confidence was starting to build. He had great understanding and concern for how much my car met to me. His extensive knowledge also allowed him to answer all my questions to put me at ease. Now the process of the repairs did not go perfect but what in life ever does. The first pass at repairing my car with reshaping the panel did not work, Micheal saw this and decided to go with a new panel and basically a full rebuild of the back of the car. A lot of work for minor damage, but he knew it was the best option to get the car back to factory new. After I got my car back there were some problems, the lower piece under the bumper was not bolted on and there were several scratches that were not there when I brought it in. I have to say I was pretty unhappy and I am usually a passive person. I went back to Caliber to talk to Micheal but he was out that day and I talked to Fernando Rojas the General Manager. Fernando was great with taking care of my concerns and took the car to his mechanics right away. They took care of some of the issues, but needed more time. So scheduled me to come back in the next week. The next week I dropped my car off and met with Micheal again. Well the team at Caliber fixed all of my concerns and then took it on themselves to fix a few scratches that were on my car before the accident. Now my car looks smoother than before the accident. Overall Caliber exceeded my expectations. We did have a few bumps in the process to get my car done, but nothing is ever perfect. Except for the way the staff at Caliber handled it. They were perfect. Micheal and Fernando both were amazing and made me feel like I was their only customer. The front desk staff was always welcoming and personable, they could not have a better crew working there.
