I took my 2011 VW Tiguan in for repairs after my vehicle was viciously attacked by a rogue fire hydrant. I wish I could remember the name of the man I worked with, he was professional, incredibly nice to me, and an absolute breeze to work with. All I had to do was call my insurance and tell them the quote I got. Then I made an appointment with Caliber and dropped my baby off. I was told it would probably take 9 days to fix the car, and I had back within 5. I got a phone call every day around the same time to let me know exactly what they had done that day, what they were going to do the next day, and how much longer they thought it would take for my vehicle to be finished. I was never left in the dark. When I picked up my vehicle, he was all shiny and new looking! Not only had they painted and cleaned him up like new on the outside, they even detailed the inside. My car smells amazing now, and looks brand new! I couldn't be happier with my experience with Caliber. I am a little surprised at how other people's experiences have gone. They really had it together for me and that took a lot of stress off my shoulders. read more

After time has gone by, I'm noticing areas where corners were cut. The shocks on my hood were weak and finally quit working altogether. It was cheap for me to just by some from Amazon and install myself (Like literally under $10) but whey couldn't they do this from the beginning rather than putting in used or inadequate ones? Caliber did work to correct their problem, but just seeing the corners that were cut makes me want to go elsewhere next time. read more

I was the victim of a hit and run in a Walmart parking lot in August and needless to say, I was upset. My beautiful, wonderful 2008 Chevrolet Equinox that I had searched endlessly for just 8 months before had some nasty bumper damage, along with damage on the trunk. Not only is this car my first big-ticket purchase, but just a few months ago my boyfriend and I had shared our first kiss in front of the trunk of my car, right after he wrote our initials in the dust of the back window, which I had left as a small token of our time together after he departed for his home in Missouri for the summer. I was upset to think that after all of the anticipation of that first kiss, that the only thing that needed to be replaced on my car would of course be the trunk. However, Matt at Caliber Collision came with high praises from my MetLife insurance agent, Debbie Campbell (who is the most comforting agent ever and sat with me on the phone while I cried over the possibility of a $1,000 deductible). After learning I could get my car fixed under the uninsured motorist coverage (with a MUCH smaller deductible), I took my car in to get an estimate. Matt wasn't there that day, but the manager, Chad, took great care of me and explained the process to me. Within a few days, I had a scheduled appointment at Caliber to get my car fixed! Matt told me it would take ~10 days to get my car fixed, which was depressing, seeing as I didn't have a rental car and was bumming rides off of my parents (which meant sleeping on their not-so-comfy couch!), until I could get my car back. I was surprised when Matt would call me every business day and give me an update on my car, and was also super friendly and made me feel like a friend, not a customer. My beautiful car was fixed flawlessly, and I got it back an entire WEEK before the targeted return date! Extra bonus, they kept the back window, so the memories of a great first kiss remain intact! My 2010 Kia Soul was badly damaged in the accident, and based on word of mouth from family members who have used this place, I decided to take it in here. And I was not disappointed. These guys did a fantastic job. The guy who helped me through the whole process, Brandon, was great. After explaining what was damage (frame damage, yikes!), he told me what they were going to do to repair it. It took a bit long to get it fixed (about 6 weeks), but as he explained they were basically waiting one one part, the frame piece that was damaged, to be delivered. One day I decided to go over there and see how my car was coming along, and Brandon took me back and not only showed me exactly where the frame damage was (the engine was already removed -- pretty weird to see a car with no engine!), but also showed me the machines they were going to use to pull the car apart so they could repair the frame. He updated me at least once a week with how the car was coming along, and after picking it up, I was very pleased. The car looks great and drives like it wasn't even in an accident. I definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking for a quality collision/auto repair shop. read more

Lora was my service writer and overall good job. I got updates everyday via text. The repairs were finished ahead of time, pleasant surprise. I dont know how "clean" the wash job was suppose to be but that was terrible. Lots of dust and water marks. The right rear taillight was out. Didn't know it till I went to use it. Went back two days later and was corrected. Was it checked or did it go out when I used it? Think it didnt get checked. The receptionist is outstanding. Think her name is Kristen. Everytime I called about something, she was "johnny on the spot". Didnt hurt she was easy on the eyes. That's a jewel you have there keep her! I would give you 4.5 stars if available. read more

Got rear ended on I-35 yesterday. I think back 8 - 9 years ago when I was hit and needed my F350 repaired. They had to remove headache rack and 5th wheel to replace the bed. Driving home, my wife noticed that the lights on the headache rack weren't working. I took the truck back the next day, and because the bill had already been paid by the insurance company and I couldn't prove that the dealer installed lights worked before the collision, they charged me $150 to plug them back in. Since all I have is a one month old safety inspection sticker on my car to prove that the tail lights were working prior to the collision and I am on retirement income, I'll take my car somewhere where they restore it to pre accident condition. read more

So far this has not been a good experience. I dropped my car off on a Monday 11/20/17 for dents and scratches on a door and quarter panel. They would need a little body work and paint. I was told it would be ready Friday. I was updated Wednesday that it had been painted and was being put back together later that day. Thursday was thanksgiving so the shop was closed and my car would be finished Friday. I get a notification that my car is "nearing completion" Friday at 9am, I call around 1pm to see when it will get done so I have an idea when to pick it up. I am then told it is in the paint booth and will be ready Monday. I get an update Monday that they found paint issues and had to repaint Friday, and that my car was currently in the booth baking (today/Monday). Now that doesn't make sense. When you paint the car on Friday why is it being baked 48+ hours later. It is now 4pm Monday and I haven't had an update yet so I call up to see if my car is going to be ready. Nope. There was an issue with the molding snapping into place, so now it is the second time that the completion date has changed, and I had to find out by calling to see if my car would be ready when they told me it would be. I will thoroughly inspect my car when I actually get it back. This is ridiculous. ----Update----- Tuesday 11/28/17: I was told Monday that they were having trouble getting a piece of molding to snap into place, they had ordered it and it would be here Tuesday morning. And after they installed it they just had to clean up and it would be ready. It is now 3:34pm and I have not been contacted yet. Went in around 4:30 to speak with a manager, he took me to look at the car. Upon walking up to the car there is an employee sitting in the passenger side front seat putting the door back together, while an employee, who is standing next to him, notices me and the manager walking up and says, "oh shit". Very unprofessional to say when a customer walks up. ---Update--- Wednesday 11/29/17: Got the car back overall looks good from a distance. Lots of sanding dust along inside of car by doors that were painted, rubber trim between doors was ripped at the bottom, there is a nick in the black wrap on passenger front door nest to window. Around the tail light and the door handle area there are small paint chips or buffing compound. I'm not sure how much trim was taken off to paint but doubtful that these areas have been this way. Just noticed trim on roof is scratched from sanding the quarter panel and long scratches right behind the trim on the roof --Update-- After submitting the customer satisfaction review that I received from Caliber Collision I was contacted by a regional manager named Jesse, on 12/7/17, who wanted to figure out what happened. I told him everything that had happened and he wanted to meet and take care of the issues I still had. (12/13/17) He did a thorough inspection of the work that was done by Caliber Collision. He put me in a rental and was going to fix all the issues that were still wrong with the repairs they had previously done. ---Update--- The car was dropped off on Wednesday 12/13/17 at about 12:15pm. I was told it should be done that Friday. Well once again it wasn't. Jesse called me on Friday and told me he apologized but the car was not ready and he wanted it perfect, and that over the weekend he would get the rest done and it should be ready Monday 12/18/17. Well it is 5pm right now and I still have yet to receive a call or update. ---Update--- I went by Monday after work, was told by the manager the car was ready but had not been inspected by Jesse the regional manager because he was in a meeting but he would look at it after or Tuesday morning 12/19/17. Well 5pm rolls around Tuesday and no one has called or texted me. I drive up there again. The manager takes me outside to inspect the work done, opens the door without my keys in hand (why is my car unlocked in a parking lot?!). Now this next part is my mistake, but I only inspected where the work was supposed to be done, which looked good. I was already fed up and wanted to get my car back so I took the keys and request the contact for anyone above the regional manager Jesse. I get contacted 5 min later by the VP (Joshua), go through everything that had happened and he deeply apologized. Now to Wednesday 12/20/17, I inspect the car in the sunlight, as Tuesday it was very cloudy and dark when I picked it up, and there are more dents on the top of my car! I have contacted Joshua (VP) about these issues and he is sending someone out tomorrow to fix these dents on location. I hope I am the only one having issues, especially this bad. ---Update--- Due to time slots available Joshua (VP) said he would prefer to schedule the onsite repairs for Wednesday 12/27/2017. Well it is now Wednesday the 27th at 10:30 and I have yet to receive a call. I'm out of text space on this review but it is only getting worse. read more

They are a preferred repair shop with Farmers Ins. My car was rear-ended. I had full coverage. They said they " twisted" the body frame back into place. It broke all the seals on the windshields. They refused to fix unless I paid several thousand dollars because they said that wasn't part of the accident. They also left holes in the tail lights and water from rain collected in my car and trunk. Also did me the same way as another reviewer about promising a ride and then left me in the lurch. Car also was there three times as long as they promised. Do not let these guys get their hands on your vehicle, you'll regret it if you do. read more

They ooze customer service, when it's convenient for them. After all the "just call we'll give you a ride!"... Coming from work to pick up my other repaired car I called and said I'd need a ride so I can shuttle to get both cars home. When I showed up .. "oh, uh it's Friday so we don't have anyone to take you." It's not that I did not get a ride so much as they said they would provide one, and then did not. Here is REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE, by contrast... Enterprise auto rental once drove over 60 miles to pick me up, and when I returned the car drove me that over-60 miles back. *Update* Jeremy, the store manager reached out to me after seeing this review. He was very helpful and wants to remedy the situation. He came out to my house to check out the car and work out a plan that works with my schedule to finish the repair. I've upgraded this from 1 star to 2 stars. Communication was extremely lacking. The only time I received an update on the status of my vehicle was when I called or emailed - even after being told I would be "called right back". My car sat for several days without being worked on because they were waiting for approval from the insurance company, but I had already received a check from the insurance company to pay Caliber. I didn't know my car was just sitting there until I called and asked for a status update. All I had to do was call the insurance agent myself to get a response. On the day I was supposed to be able to pick up my car, it was left outside with the window open during a rainstorm! I went to look at the damage and the car had not been put back together (bumper, taillights, window molding, detailing, etc.). I highly doubt my car (even without the rain damage) would have been ready to pick up. Lastly, I can still see where the damage to the bumper occurred, but it was such a terrible experience, I don't dare risk dropping my car off again. *The good* - The receptionists were always very polite and responsive. The paint match is good and repairs on the body (not the bumper) seem to be pretty good. read more

My experience here was great! The receptionist was always friendly and smiling and my service advisor, Brian, was excellent to work with. He kept me well informed throughout the entire process and was always pleasant and professional. The end result of all the repairs had me beaming! The front end looked flawless! I was bummed at first when I heard that the repairs could take around 26 business days BUT they finished it in just 17 days. (And that was impressive considering the amount of damage.) Brought my car in for what they considered minor repair took 2 weeks got it back covered inside with the dust from sanding turned on vents it blew in my face. Also repairs were not fully completed my backup sensors were not working brought it back again. While there my car was hit by another car that came out of gear causing even more damage. Instead of calling me about it they called my work phone so I didn't know for 24 hours. When I finally got it back for the 2nd time I still have scratches from they accident they caused my GPS / Radio memory was erased causing my to go to dealership and pay for them to fix it. Jeremy the manager was left repeated messages and refused to call back. Stay far far away from this place. I have also been told by an employee that Geico customers go to the front of the line and rest of the customers have to wait longer. If I could give this company a negative # I would. Someone hit my new 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited while parked in the Home Depot parking lot and didn't wait around for me to come back to the car. And, of course, they didn't leave a note. I was literally sick to my stomach when I saw the damage. My insurance company suggested Caliber Collision to repair the damage. From my first phone call to Caliber, to driving off the premises in my repaired car, I was given friendly, professional, and excellent service! Claudia answered the phone and expressed sincere concern for my situation. She scheduled an appiontment for me to bring my car in for an estimate. When I arrived at Caliber, Claudia greeted me as if I were an old friend. Matt was my service representative and I could not be more impressed with the way he handled my car repair. He did a thorough examination of my car and carefully noted all the damage. He told me he would email the estimate to me withing the next couple of hours. Sure enough, I received the estimate as promised and decided to have Caliber repair the damage. I called Claudia and scheduled an appointment to bring my car in. I arrived at 9:00 a.m. on a Wednesday morning. Claudia asked if I was going to get a rental car. I said yes, I had reserved an Enterprise car. About that time, Matt came out and suggested that we go back out and look at my car once more, comparing it to the written estimate. Again, he was very thorough. He made sure that I had taken everything I would need out of my car before taking my keys. He promised me that the damage would be repaired and when I picked my car up, it would look like new. I asked how long the repair would take, and he said four to five business days. When I went back inside to call Enterprise, Claudia had already done that for me and, as a matter of fact, a woman from Enterprise came in right then looking for me. Matt called me later that afternoon with a progress report on the repairs. He called me the next day with another progress report. Friday afternoon, he called me again and I expected another progress report. Well, he gave me a wonderful progress report - my car was ready! I couldn't believe it! The repairs had only taken two and a half days! I was thrilled! I asked if I should go to Enterprise first to return my rental car and he said no, just come to Caliber and they would take care of returning my rental car. What great service! I arrived at Caliber and spoke with Claudia. Once again, she was so friendly and efficient. I paid my portion of the repair (insurance deductible) and Matt came out with my keys. He took me out to my car and pointed out everything that had been repaired. Sure enough, my car looked like new! In addition, my car had been cleaned, inside and out. What a wonderful experience! I hope I will never have a reason to need a body shop again but, if I do, I know exactly where I will go - Caliber Collision! read more

I cant recall the person who handled my claim but he explained everything they were going to do, set a time line and then updated me on two occasions. After a small accident due to a minor bump into my car, I selected Caliber on Commerce in Round Rock because Libery Mutual called them 'one of their guaranteed shops' It took five attempts to get my 2012 Buick Verano repair back from Caliber. Each of the four failed deliveries resulted in my identification of an easy-to-see flaw that hey acnowledged. They are a large company, but this issues was only escallated to a regional manager after three failures, and even that just yielded a phone call and further incompetant repairs. To rehash this customers story. I made an appointment with Caliber in order to make it as simple as possible in using a Liberty Mutual shop. When I arrived, there was no estimate from Liberty Mutual there and I had to email it to Caliber from my phone in the lobby. After the repair was initially completed, I came in to pickup my car to find that a deep 1-2 inch scratch had been added to my car during repair (unnoticed by Caliber staff). After calling the other location that actually did the work in South Austin, it was agreed that it was the responsibility of Caliber and be repaired. On my second attempt to pick-up my car, the bumper was not properly installed and a noticeable offset existed where the bumper and rear quarter-panel come together. This was also acknowledged as a defect to be repaired, so I left again with the rental car. Upon investigation, it was determined that the previous repair "was not holding up as we had hoped" and a new bumper was to be ordered/installed - taking a few more days. On my third attempt to pick-up the car, it was immediately obvious that the edges of the bumper were not smooth prior to painting and it was also acknowledged as something that required further effort. By this point, the shop manager 'Chad' became involved and agreed to repair it again. In order to minimize my inconvenience, their team picked up and dropped off my car from my office about 10 minutes from the shop. When the car was returned, there were immediately obvious defects in the workmanship of the repair. The bumper installation was again not flush with the quarter-panel and one of the reverse sensors was hastily installed and not sealed. I indicated the defect to the man dropping off the car, and he told me that I would get a call on the issue. The call never came. Each of the first four attempts by Caliber to finalize the repair ended in disappointment. The staff and people that I have dealt with (including 'Chad') were always professional and seem to want to do the right thing, but the quality of the repair was been poor each of the first four occasions that my car was declared 'complete'. Having a rental car for a prolonged period of time presents logistical difficulties for my family as we have three drivers and two cars. The Enterprise rental provided cannot be driven by my daughter because she is 16 and that is their rule. Each of the four 'done' indicators has led to plans being made that later had to be changed because of the poor quality of the repairs provided. After the fourth failed delivery showing the lack of fit on the bumper and the poorly installed reverse sensor, I resorted to sending photos back to them. I am not a car repair expert, but each of these four attempted deliveries of my car had defects that I saw within seconds of looking at the repair. I really do not understand whey such simple quality checks cannot be performed before I am called to pick-up the car. I tried to contact the corporate customer service staff for the company and got a call from 'Josh' at corporate indicating that they would send me a Visa gift card to cover my toll road expenses - that also never happened. I will never use Caliber again for a repair of any kind. While they ultimately got it done, a 30-hour estimate took five delivery attempts and almost a month to get completed. I cannot express how maddening these people are to work with!!! read more

I wasn't going to write this but after almost an entire YEAR of dealing with this I just can't stand back and be silent anymore. I hit a deer in December 2015. They repaired my car while my insurance covered a rental for time it took to repair. They gave my car back with still some damage to the underside of the hood. I had to get my insurance to come and inspect it and tell them to fix it right this time. After waiting over a month my insurance would no longer cover the rental so the manager at Caliber agreed to pay the remaining 3 days of rental before our car was returned. In June I start getting collection calls for the balance of the rental car. I make several calls over the course of 6 months, always being told that this is being paid and that I have nothing to worry about. Well here it is December and collections is still calling me. Now it's affecting my credit and I just bought a home this year!! These people will say anything to get you out the door. I am so angry and overwhelmed by this whole experience that I'm about to go to the next step and take legal action if this is not resolved by the end of the year. read more

The Caliber survey is sent to customers before they get their car back with hopes you will fill it out before you have an opportunity to analyze the full results of your repair. I had 2 vehicles repaired and I am unhappy with the results. The window on my truck now makes a terrible noise from wind and my trailer lighting plug doesn't work and nobody at Caliber Collision will even return my call. I cannot recommend anyone use this company. They also returned both of my vehicles with completely dead batteries. My truck had to have both batteries replaced. They leave the doors open and lights on while repairing them. read more

Service is horrible and employees are rude . I have went to two different locations in two different towns and got the same nonchalant response . I had hell damage to my 2017 car and I made an appt to have my hail damage inspected to file a claim, they set me up with a technician that doesn't even do hail damage claims . His response was " well I can set you up with something next week " I don't live in round rock and I'm only visiting . I had a set appt but there's not even a hail damage technician here . Communication is horrible between the employees and their customers!! I was very pleased with the repair work performed by Caliber Collision. I also was quite impressed with my service rep, Scotty, who was very attentive to insure the best repair work/service was provided. Now, I understand why USAA insurance company/policy (highly) recommends Caliber Collision. Though, it took a little bit longer than I anticipated, USAA allowed for an Enterprise rental car, in the meantime. For this reason, is why I'm giving you a 4-star rating. read more
