A scratch on the top left front fender of the SC 430 while in possession of caliber collision center

I just received my Lexus SC 430 back from Caliber Collision for a repair/paint to my front bumper (03/17/2025) . The problem I have...they repaired the damage, but they painted over all of the rock chips to the other part of the bumper. Why wouldn't they tell me. "Hey, we are painting the whole bumper but you have 50 dings/dimples in the bumper but we can't repair those. I would have paid the extra cost to repair. Now, I have a freshly painted bumper with all kind of defects and the new paint, which accentuates all of the defects. VERY DISSAPPOINTED. If you are getting your car repaired there...Please ask the question??? What will the finished product look like??? And, to my dismay they scratched the front fender while it was in their possession. It was a fresh scratch (could tell by the shiny metal underneath the painted surface. (picture attached) I told them that I wished to file a claim for the damage...waiting for their response. PLEASE USE CAUTION AND ASK QUESTIONS...WHAT WILL MY CAR LOOK LIKE WHEN FINISHED??? DONT' MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS I.

The work done on the car was wonderful. However, when I went to pick it up yesterday, I smelled pot in my air vents when I turned the car on. I dismissed it, thinking it was in my head, that I didn't really smell anything. This morning, I found a bowl under the seat. The mechanics were smoking pot in my car and left their bowl there. What if I had gotten pulled over?? The cops would search the car because of the smell from the air vents and would've found the bowl! I could have been arrested! I don't care if you smoke pot, but to do it in a customers vehicle and then leave paraphernalia behind is beyond unprofessional. The shop is closed today, but I did leave a message. Just a warning if you take your car there, search the vehicle and if you think you smell pot, you probably right.

After repairs. Can't find the before but the hood was completely smashed in.

My car was looked at immediately and, beyond my expectations, they said they had space to fix it on the spot! This was a total blessing after I had spent the larger part of a month trying to get an appointment in at other local body shops. While waiting briefly in the office, the mechanic, the assistant and I had a great conversation and before I knew it -- my car was fixed *perfectly* and I was out of there with time to spare before arriving to work. The people at B&M were so kind and generous with me while they did such fine work on my car. I'm definitely returning (plus their location couldn't be more convenient). Additionally, I appreciated B&M's empathy and unpretentiousness when my car was getting fixed. As a young woman who isn't wildly familiar with car mechanics, I've had so many experiences with other body shops where I am implicitly demeaned or belittled for seeking car repair. B&M heard me share the needs my car had and quickly fixed the problem. :)

Assembly and putting bolts and pins back in, optional. And spraying paint, you're better off having a two year old spray with a rattle can. I wish I could attach pictures to show how our bumper was put on. They cut tabs off another bumper and used sheet metal screws to screw the tabs to the new one.

They're courteous, efficient, and very nice to deal with. I highly recommend anyone who needs a car repair to come here! They also do bodywork, and it looks very impressive. Unfortunately, I became sick over the weekend to the point where I couldn't attend classes, go to work, or even get out of bed. On Tuesday, they called asking when I would bring my car in for a paint match. I explained that I was sick and couldn't come, but they insisted that I had to come either Tuesday or Wednesday. When I explained that I physically couldn't make it, they became aggressive, started yelling at me, and threatened to throw my belongings onto the street if I didn't show up. They accused me of lying and claimed that I had agreed to come on Tuesday. I acknowledge that we initially discussed Tuesday, but they had also told me that the paint job wouldn't be ready until the following week. I wasn't trying to back out of our agreement. I was simply sick and unable to leave my bed. I repeatedly explained my situation and pleaded with them to give me some flexibility. I told them I would come as soon as I was physically able, but I couldn't promise a specific day that week because I didn't know when I would recover. Instead of showing any understanding, they continued yelling, hung up on me, and stopped answering my calls. I genuinely don't understand what I did to deserve this treatment. I was respectful, honest about my circumstances, and willing to follow through as soon as I could. I don't believe that being sick justifies being yelled at, accused of lying, or threatened. What makes this even more upsetting is that I'm a college student paying for these repairs entirely out of pocket. I can't help but feel that they're treating me this way because they believe I'm in a vulnerable position and won't stand up for myself. I seriously doubt they would speak to a higher-paying customer this way. I was simply asking for some understanding while I recovered from being sick. I don't think that was unreasonable, and I certainly don't think the way I was treated was fair or professional.

As a single woman, I hate shopping for new mechanics. (If you're a woman, you know why.) And particularly hate taking chances with a total stranger. For women who want the short and sweet - Yes. Go to Iezzi's. So with my friend's reference, and name dropping over the phone and in person, I tried this place out. He made time for me just a day later (although the rule of thumb here seems to be first in, first served - no appointments). They also drove me home - not everyone does that nowadays. Just a few hours later, they called to tell me what was up and how much it would cost. I can't say they were the cheapest, price-wise, but they were worth every penny. FTR - my car is a piece of crap that's been kept together for about four years now. While a few people have told me it's basically okay to drive, and a couple said one good pothole and it'll break in half, not one mechanic has told me exactly what I need to know about either of those situations. As part of the service with a car new to them, Iezzi checks it out all over - top to bottom. No extra charge for this service, btw. They gave me in plain terms the good and the bad, not sugarcoated, but no doom-saying either. So I know pretty much where I stand with this car for the first time in four years. And as my friend told me, not a single thing was suggested to me that didn't need to be done. Oh, they also top off all fluids, and fill the tires. How often does that happen? An honest mechanic who works quickly and efficiently, doesn't baffle you with lingo, and goes the extra mile. Wow!

I scheduled a state inspection a month in advance and took time off work to ensure my vehicle was ready for an upcoming road trip. When I arrived, the shop was closed with nothing but a note on the door. There was no text or call to give me a heads-up. To make matters worse, I had already purchased a Groupon voucher that is now non-refundable. If they had at least texted or called to let me know that plans had changed, I would have had ample time to reschedule the appointment with a different mechanic and not miss my road trip. These guys might be skilled at what they do, but their terrible communication and lack of respect for a customer's time made this one of my worst service experiences ever.
