So yesterday I received my car from Caliber Collision and I was very impressed by the work they did on the front of my car. The car looks spotless they even detailed it after it was done. I drive a BMW 335i in Coupe that I purchased after 14 years of driving around in a beater so when I had to avoid a head on collision and went off the road I damaged the suspension by going over a rather large rock. I was worried because a lot of BMW sites suggested to only take it to BMW for work, but USAA recommends these guys and I went with their recommendation. I cant say that I wasnt nervous at first but they have this gentleman there Called GUY he was very professional and made me feel very confident that the work would be done right. They were full and were going to take the car to another shop, but then when I told him that this was more than just a car and how worried I was about the repair being perfect he actually decided to keep it in Oceanside and I am extremely happy. The repair did take a little longer than expected, but I had already told them not to worry about time frame and just to take their time. As it turns out the car sustained damage to the left side (even though I went over the rock on the right side) an unforeseen problem and really a minor set back for me. I had to pick up something from the car in the middle of the whole thing and they were very happy to let me go visit the car even though it wasnt finished, I know this seems like a minor thing to say, but most mechanic shops wont let you see the car until they have put it together and that always gives me the feeling they are up to something. NOT SO with Caliber the process is very transparent and to make things cool they keep you updated every step of the way. The only problem that I see with the car rear right now is that my right side wobbles just a little bit. I noticed it when I was driving it and had my wife driving it in front of me and the wobble is noticeable on the rear right side of the car. I know you are reading this review and see that I am giving these guys 5 stars despite the fact there is a minor problem with the car after the repair and might make you wonder well why is that your car has a problem after repair! Well to you I say this: GUY personally told me, if it is not a 10 or a 9 I didnt do my job right, even if it is an 8 I wont be happy. And I know a lot of people say these things these days, from what I can see on the rest of my car I can tell you this guy means it. Come next week I know that I will take the car in, they will check it out, find the problem and fix it. One because their work is guaranteed to be pre-accident condition and 2 because I sure as hell believe anyone that wont be happy with an 8. I know this because I am a Chief in the Navy and I am not happy with performance of just 8. So my review is still 5/5 based on confidence on the product they delivered on the front end of the vehicle and on the professionalism displayed by their staff. And because to notice it you have to have driven the car prior to the accident. At the end of the process I know the car will be perfect again. BOTTOM LINE: THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST! And word to other BMW owners out there, dont be nervous if the dealer doesnt do the work, Caliber will take good care. I have two minor dings on my two from before I owned them (minor blemishes really) but I know where I am taking my business. Thanks Guy and thanks Caliber. read more

My wife was involved in a 3 car accident in late June. We were deemed to be 0% liable/responsible for any damages. We agreed to use the AAA Insurance referred body shop, Caliber Collision in Oceanside on Avenida de la plata, to complete the repairs to our front and rear end including our headlights. Calber Collision repaired our car and returned it to us on 7/23/19. On 7/24, I noticed that the headlights were not working so I notified Caliber Collision that the headlights were not working. Jeanette, Our service rep at Caliber Collision, asked us to bring in the car. On 7/25/19, Two days after picking up our car, We took in the car for them to inspect. They could not tell me why the lights were not coming on but did come to the conclusion that the condition was pre-existing and refused to repair our headlights. I was flabbergasted at their response. Jeanette told me that the technician who worked on the car tested the headlamps on a red screen and that they were working when we picked the car up. She stated that the technician did this test to check if the lights were level. So their claim is that the car was working fine when we picked it up but one day later it is no longer working and yet they claim that the repairs for the headlamps are not covered by the warranty. She later said that they were not mechanics, so they don't know why the headlamps were not working but that the insurance company would not cover this repair. Our car is a 2015 Toyota Prius that has never been involved in an accident before. The car was running perfectly before the accident and the headlights were definitely working fine. The fact that this repair facility would flat out refuse to repair a part of the car that was directly involved in an accident (front end collision with front headlights not working) boggles my mind. I understand that they must protect from a very few individuals trying to take advantage of an accident to repair unrelated parts of a vehicle but in this case, the Headlights were directly affected by the accident. They even replaced one of the headlamps due to accident damage. This situation has affected me greatly and caused a tremendous amount of stress, up to the point that I now feel that there is no other recourse but to write this review on yelp. I am a new father of a 3 month baby girl. I would never put my daughter in this car, even during the day, in the off chance that we stay out past sun down until the car has been fully repaired. We do not have another car that we can use until the repairs can be properly done by qualified technicians. I intend to take this car to the Toyota Dealership, as I should have done in the 1st place and not placed my trust in this repair facility. After endlessly looking for the right place to take my car to get fixed, a family friend recommended that I take my 2016 Toyota Corolla LE to Caliber Collision to get a quote. I had a pretty bad dent on the rear right side of the car and I had to see what they could do for me. When we first met Patrick he was the one who helped us with the quote. He gave us the brake down of the fix and of course how much it would cost. I've had quotes done before from other shops, but I knew that from Patrick's customer service that this was the best place to get my car fixed. The process took about a little over a week, which was expected. When my dent got fixed, I received a call that after buffing my car there seemed to be some type of scuff mark on my bumper. I previously took pictures of the damage before they took in the car which showed no scuffs. However, Patrick took pictures of the car before taking it in and after blowing up the image I guess there was a scuff. The cost to fix the scuff was $800 but knowing that I'm a broke college student, Patrick went above and beyond for me and had reached out to his superior to see what they could do for me. I got a call that the guys at Caliber would take her in and fix her up for me with no charge. I couldn't be more grateful for Patrick and the employees of Caliber Collision for all their hard work and support! I am not really a yelper, as most people use it to complain. I have decide to Yelp for this repair center as I can honestly say they are an amazing helpful establishment. I first spoke with a very nice woman named Cindy. Though she said she didn't handle the insurance account I was going through she put me in touch with Kim. Kim was very kind and helpful when explaining what was going to happen with my car. Though my car was repaired in a couple of days I kept getting txt messages giving me an update on the progress. I was very impressed with that. Kim called and said my car was ready today and she'd be there if I wanted to pick it up later in the day. I would recommend this place just because of Cindy and Kim being so nice from the time I dropped my car off until I was to pick it up. I also have to mention Sara, the front counter person was very nice as well. There was another lady named Lisa as well that even asked if I was being helped. Alma and the group of individuals that Caliber Collision and Oceanside treated me right! Two weeks ago I was involved in a rear end collision that was not my fault. I had my car towed to their shop at the recommendation of a personal friend. When Alma saw the extent of the damage to the vehicle she made a point to call me directly to make sure that I was OK. She took a lot of time to explain how the process would work between the two insurance companies and what my rights as a consumer were. She took the time to look at a variety of scenarios with me to determine how best to proceed. When it came time to retrieve my belongings from the car, her staff helped me carry the items to my other vehicle. I was dependent upon the other driver's insurance company to look at my car and make a decision as to damages and monetary compensation. It took them almost 12 days to complete this. This shop is outstanding. They did some front end work for me a couple of months ago and it was absolutely beautifu! recently my headlight went out and the SUBURU dealership in Carlsbad wanted $760 to fix it.... I guess to replace the whole fixture so I figured I'd check with my guys at Caliber and they helped me replace just the bulb, which was all I needed. In these days of computerized automation, the team of Andy, Jackie and Dustin are exemplary, professional and personal. They give you the red carpet treatment and make you feel like a valued customer instead of just a number. And although, I don't want to need their services ( who wants bodywork) if you have a need-- I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location and this team for outstanding service and excellent results. Rudest front office staff (Stephanie?) I was constantly hung up on and talked to rudely when I would follow up. Zac Casale was a complete joke. Hes supposedly a production coordinator at Caliber but form my experience lacked education, manners and customer service. Tried to have a clear understanding of what work was going to be done to car but the whole 2 weeks they had my car I never received one call, text or email back about the work being done. When randomly stopping by I had them show me my car. Wrong color! Poor costomer service!!! Also they stole ALL the random little nick-nacks like my change, lighters, gum and sunglasses from car. Wowza. Got into a fender bender on June 29th. Dropped it off July 9th. Throughout the whole process they made my life a whole lot easier. Lisa (my claim handler) was very courteous and and answered all my questions. She even allowed me to pick up my truck after business hours on pickup day. As for the work itself, it was immaculate. My truck looks like it rolled off the assembly line and they even gave it a wash and detailing. All the paint matches and everything works great. My car was broken into and the side window was completely smashed. Had to buy cardboard and duct tape as a band aid until I could get it fixed. Always have insurance! I called around, but ultimately this business got in the next day. After insurance covered a bit, I only had to pay $100 out of pocket. It's convenient that you can pay over the phone or in person.
