Because I have Progressive Insurance, I worked with Eric, who was knowledgeable, helpful, and responsive. They Tried to force me to sign documents to guarantee I would have my repairs done with their company. They Didn't want to do a full estimate. They Wrote up a false initial estimate and verbally admitted that they did not do a complete review of the car before writing the initial estimate. They Lied to my insurance saying I signed off on repairs when I did not. Then Lied again and said repairs were completed when no repairs were done at all! From the time I brought my car into the establishment until I drove off the premises, the customer service was impeccable. Alan was amazing and truly took care of my car. He was extremely kind, he explained the entire process of what they would do and the estimated time it would take. The not only completed my car sooner than expected, they did a wonderful job in repairing my bumper, fixing my door, and they had my car looking so clean, I thought I had a brand new car. I am grateful for Alan and the team. Oh, and the sanitation was amazing!!!! Everyone wore masks, hand sanitizer were everywhere, and the had separated places for clean and used pens. I've been to Caliber Collision on 11th St. twice now and have found the level of service to be extraordinary. Getting an appointment both times was easy and Du Mauriea Banks, the advisor I worked with, was incredibly helpful in walking me through my options and guiding me to the best one. On the second occasion, my front bumper cover had been knocked off, but was relatively undamaged. Du Mauriea and General Manager Alan Nguyen had a technician look at it and they determined it could safely be popped back on while I waited. Fifteen minutes later I had my car and they had even polished the windshield. Du Mauriea could easily have convinced me to get a new part and run it through insurance, which would have resulted in a big payday for Caliber. Buy he and Alan were good enough to help me to a solution that earned Caliber nothing but my trust and admiration. I can't say I hope to be back at Caliber anytime soon, but if the need arises, I wouldn't go anyplace else. Truly an awesome experience! read more

Caliber Collision and Demariea were a tremendous help in getting my car fixed. My bumper was damaged after being hit on 580. The other drivers insurance was handling the claim, and consistently got my information wrong no matter how many times I tried to correct it. They gave Caliber the other parties car information, a phone number in Texas (I live in Oakland, and the other party lived in Livermore), and an email that didn't belong to anyone involved. After numerous attempts, Demariea took it upon himself to call them 3 times to finally get the correct information needed. I honestly stopped communicating with the insurance company and only spoke to Caliber from then on. Because of supply chain issues, the new bumper arrived 2 weeks late. Demariea called me at the end of every week with an update and to make sure that I knew I was not forgotten. Before work started, he walked me through the possible scenarios that might come up that could result in out of pocket costs. None of those happened, but I greatly appreciated knowing beforehand the worse case scenario. When the bumper did arrive, they fixed the car several days earlier than expected, washed and ready to drive off. It was a much longer process to fix my bumper than I expected, but I'm positive that if it were another shop that was handling it and wasn't as on top of things as Demariea and crew, it would have taken much longer. I'd advise anyone looking for a reliable and transparent shop to take their car to Caliber. read more

Accidents suck (especially hit-and-runs), and when my car got side-swiped in Downtown Oakland several weeks ago, the process for getting the repairs done couldn't have gone smoother. I took my car here after having a bad experience at Turbo Auto in Oakland after the returned my car to me unfinished. I'm happy I took my car here because I got such good service and was thrilled with the work. I think customer service really sets places apart and the technician who was assigned to my case was named Luis. He was great and keeping me informed throughout the process and gave me updates and calls. It's always a pain to deal with insurance during a repair, but he made it really easy. This is the second time in the last 2 years that I've used the services of Caliber. The first time I was rear ended in a hit and run collision, and Caliber skillfully repaired the damage to my complete satisfaction. More recently, I worked with Wilbert Argo at the 11th Street location. I'd cracked the front bumper on my 2007 Mercedes, which I'd purchased earlier this year. Unknown to me, the bumper was an after-market piece for which no replacement could be found. Will was able to locate a comparable piece and worked with my insurance company to make sure everything was covered. I picked up the car yesterday, and isn't no exaggeration to say the car looks better than ever. Don't go here especially if you're referred by your insurance company. This place is really bad at conducting business and is extremely overpriced even for small jobs. Let's just say this is the kind of shop you seriously want to stay away from, unless you like overpaying and getting hustled. Caliber Collision, you guys need to be upfront with a quote when you're given information before you waste a potential customer's time. Trying to nickel and dime potential customers and claim/add extra unnecessary work that is not needed is super shady. So instead of surprising a potential customer with absurd high costs and still have the audacity to say it "could be more" usually means it will cost more than what you quote. Also based on the other reviewers where one described her new tire being slashed - come on? I'm so glad I didn't have this joke of a shop touch my car. Always friendly, polite, and courteous parts take some time these days (that's true everywhere) but the moment the parts were in my car was fixed up and sent back to me and in better shape than before it had been vandalized (they pulled an extra dent that went above and beyond what I expected). A couple months ago, I had an unfortunate need for repair and decided to go with caliber collision at this location for proximity close to my work. Eric was the first person I spoke to on the phone and in person he was as respectful and helpful as he was on the phone so first impression was extremely positive. Daniel was the inspector that I had worked with and words cannot describe how organized and on top of things he is on getting your car fixed. It was unfortunate that parts for my repair were backorder for weeks but you know what daniel didn't do? He didn't just leave me in the dark wondering when I was going to get my repair done, not that. Weekly he would call and let me know updates and apologized religiously that the parts were not in yet and he kept it up until I was able to bring it in. I go past this business everyday on my way to work. I noticed it was always clean on the outside then I needed my mud flaps installed and just inquired about the price and date to get them installed.
