In May, my car was stolen and partially dismantled by the thieves. I was lucky because CHP found it in Oakland, but it obviously needed some care. Fix-Auto was on my insurance company's list of approved providers, so I took it to them. Ricardo and the whole Team were professional, communicative, kind, and fair. The work needed was more expensive than I thought it would be, but that's just how things are in our overpriced, corporate-run country. The guys did everything they could to make sure ALL the possible damage was covered by my insurance and really went the extra mile. Just this past week, my wife had a very minor incident in a parking lot that popped the front bumper assembly out and caused a very small scuff, and I asked her to take it back to the guys at Fix. Yes, the damage was very minor, but they popped things back in and added some extra backup support and didn't even charge us for it. Thanks, Fix Auto, for your fair and conscientious customer support. You will have my business in the future! read more

There are not enough ways to express my gratitude to Ricky and Arthur, and the entire team, for their help getting my classic Celica repaired. There were many moving parts to getting what was needed but also going toe to toe with the insurance company to get the funds needed to complete the full front right side repairs. It was a quick turnaround once everything was approved from the insurance. I honestly am truly so pleased with how much Ricky communicated with me and helped facilitate the repairs. Arthur and Ricky did tons of research too on the value of my car due to the classic elements which helped get the insurance to cover the full cost of parts and repairs!!! Everyone at Fix was also very friendly and helpful from the first moment I stepped into the place, with every phone call, and to the final pickup. PHENOMENAL PLACE!!! read more

My very first time bringing my car to Fix Auto in Alameda. My insurance Company Geico had recommended Fix Auto to me to get my 2024 ES 350 Lexus serviced with them. Well, the representative (Service Advisor) Dylan won me over with his politeness, professionalism, well mannered, customer services oriented, helpfulness and his gentle and kind behavior. I explained to Dylan exactly what type of damages I had on my car starting with my right bumper, right tire and rim, whistling sound on my right side of my car, paint and cracks on my bumper and my right rear mirror. Dylan listened and he observed. Dylan told me my car would be ready by Friday, July 24th . I was surprise, cause I had dropped off my car on Monday, July 20th. Dylan called my rental car service to pick me up. In addition too I received prior updates text messages from Dylan keeping me abreast on my vehicle. Well, when I drove back to Fix Auto Alameda on Friday in my rental car Dylan had my rental car picked up by enterprise. Wow, What nice services indeed. When I saw my Baby Lexus I was happy as a lark. All of my internal and external damages were fixed and my Lexus looked very new again. Great paint job too. Great job and services to Fix Auto in Alameda! I personally highly recommend Fix Auto Alameda to all of my family and friends. By the way please request Dylan. read more

They partially repaired the aft part of a car after we got rear ended. The replaced hatch cover didn't work from day 1. After bringing it back for the 3 rd time they refused to honor their warranty claim. This place is a scam. Our insurance paid them and now we have to pay to fix what they were paid for. Don't believe their warranty. This place is a scam. read more

The only star is for it being a small business in comparison to national competitors. We used this repair shop for two of our vehicles, once for a windshield and once for more extensive work. Both were done faster than expected and well. The shop itself is also the cleanest I've ever seen and the employees are very nice. I also appreciate the constant communication. read more

"Shiny and chrome" Not my first vehicle, not my first experience with body repair, but this shop is is going to be the only place I will ever bring my cars/trucks, or recommend here in the East Bay. This is my 2nd time working with them, truly wish I'd have known sooner. Dylan's pleasant and welcoming demeanor was ON POINT, as he clearly understands how to work with customers who never intended on meeting him by these circumstances. Patience was demonstrated, as Dylan in no way rushed me on my end; conversely I lagged, and was met with a genuine smile and offered a refreshment. I'm tellin' ya, stop lookin' and give 'em a call. Thank you, Dylan. Your shop has the upper tier professionals at work, super satisfied and grateful. *lobby is clean & RADICAL, shop proper is very clean and organized. read more

Fix Auto Alameda - After repairs completed of crushed-in rear, back in service. The car looks brand new as I bought it. Masters at their craft for certain. - Body Shops Near Me - Alameda, California

I was rear ended at a stop light and suffered major damage to the rear of my Subaru Forester. The other driver was at fault and we both have the same insurance company. Fix Auto took full charge of the repair process and insurance communication. What a relief!! They arranged to have Enterprise Car Rental in Alameda pick me up at Fix Auto and set me up with a rental car during the duration of the repair process. It took a month to get insurance approval for the repair, and to get the parts needed. But I was kept updated, by Jose on the process. When a glitch occurred re: extending the rental car lease, Jose handled that with the insurance company. Considering the nature of the entire experience, which was stressful to say the least, I felt at ease with Jose and Fix Auto the entire time. And now I have my repaired car back. It looks great. read more

Jennifer at Fix Auto is wonderful! She kept in constant communication with me regarding my repairs/updates. Would recommend!

Had a minor accident to my back bumper and Geico recommended I use them. They were easy to schedule with, had lots of ways to communicate with me, did all the work with insurance claims, and they detailed my car inside and out before returning it to me. My car looks brand new again. Easy location and Enterprise rental car is nearby which made it easy to drop off my car here and be on my way. read more

Good work Ricky was hands down the best Even though they haven't fully competed the repair due to a back order issue. I was overall pleased. My first impression was not so good. They guy I first met wan kind of dismissive perhaps because I was a woman. Clearly he may have been the one to patch up my car muffler with an incorrect muffler. Anyhow thank goodness I had the opportunity to work with Ricky. It was a respectful experience and my long term car with sentimental value felt like it was in good hands. read more

Getting into a vehicular accident is not a pleasant matter to deal with. It certainly helps to make the experience flow smoothly when you are working with the right team. Such is the case with Fix Auto in Alameda, and working with Ricardo "Ricky" Correa. Mr. Correa ensured that job is done correctly even with some unexpected challenges. Mr. Correa said he would make it happen, and that he did! Mr. Correa made the process painless, and I would highly recommend the shop, and Mr. Correa. Thank you!! read more

From start to finish excellent service. Made my appt through my insurance company. Arrived late but was met with a greeting from like two different people. Gio was personable, efficient and professional took pics of my damage and informed me I would get texts throughout the process. The communication was great! The repair was amazing plus the detail when I picked it up. I forget the name of the girl who took my payment but she was friendly and the guy at the end when I was getting my car back very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend the repairs and the customer service to family / friends! read more

I can't praise Fix Auto Alameda enough. From the minute I met Ricky Correa and had the conversation about my damaged vehicle I was treated very professionally, courteously, and offered excellent advice about the repairs. Shout out to Ricardo and the team for the amazing job they did on the vehicle. There was constant communication and it was worth the two month wait. It's like nothing ever happened to the vehicle. Excellent and precise service. Out of the bat they knew what to do just with our documents and identification they know what is the process with a couple of questions they want to know and you're set. They're very good on communication and how your vehicle is doing. The pick up process was simple and easy. All they wanted to know was last name and model and make of car. I was not able to get her name but she knew her knowledge all the way through and without hesitation. I can't recommend Fix Auto Alameda enough and they've just won over my business for all future auto repairs. Save yourself the time and trouble of getting ripped off by other auto repair spots and head straight here. They're honest professionals that deserve to be supported! It was the last of 3 places I was getting quotes from for a broken side mirror cap that popped off when I hit a garbage can while backing out of my garage. I could have easily glued/taped it back on myself since it was still functioning fine, but I didn't feel confident to DIY this type of job. The first place I brought it to quoted me over $1,500. Outrageous! They wanted to replace the entire mirror. The second place suggested a replacement cap... better, but I knew they still wanted to get a few hundred out of me. Clearly, I felt taken advantage of. Frustrated and disappointed, I decided to just stop by Fix Auto Alameda since it was on my way home. Extremely glad that I did. Third time is definitely a charm! Dylan was in the office when I stopped in and helped me right away. Like I had initially assumed, he said it just simply needed to be glued back and did the job right then and there. I would like to take the time and give recognition to Fix auto, but specifically to Jennifer Sappington. I've been coming to fix auto for many years as I originally was referred to them by my insurance company. Jennifer has been my long time advisor/estimator, and whenever I am in need of any type of body work on my car, rather through insurance or just something I need done that's not Insurance related, she's always been my go to person. She's very kind and always makes time for me when I need help with an estimate. And the shop does amazing work, always looks as good as new. Fix auto truly has a great team, and to Jennifer thanks again for all your help over the years, it is always much appreciated! -Anthony A read more

Today I just my car back after a month later. While I was waiting for someone to help me get my car. I notice a staff at the corner was vaping inside the building she did not notice that a customer I was watching her. This is not right for a staff be smoking/vaping inside the building. After a few minutes later when I got my car I notice that my car was a mess inside. Didn't my item from inside was move around like the passenger seat was Leaning all the way back and some other items. My sister notice that there was a gallon of water in the back seat. I went back to the shop and spoke the person in charger. She ask me if the gallon of was mine . I said "no" I just got my car just 5 minutes car and did not notice this until my sister saw it. It seem like she did not care at all. Paint in my car was coming of from the front I show it to her and she told me this how the car came when I brought it in. She said " when a bird poops in your car and leave it for a long time the paint will wash off" I told her no this was not there when I brought the car to the shop I did not see this spot of the front of my car coming off" she them told me to come inside and she will show proof of picture that they took when they were fixing car. I was not happy with the services of this shop never again coming here again. They told me it was going to take 2 to 3 weeks and they had all the parts ready for my car. But they never did it took a month a 2 days to get my car. read more

My wife's AUDI was hit while parked - hit-and-run while parked. We decided to have the car repaired here as they took our insurance. Foundation. I'm a boomer and in the 70s and 80s, my brother was trained in auto body at trade school and we painted a few cars, motorcycles and bicycles. The short of this is that paint will not stick to a shiny surface, so you always scuff and prime. The metal body work was perfect. However, the front bumper had multiple issues. First, the little decorative air scoops fell of when I washed the car. The new bumper did not have screw holes for the parts, so I drilled holes and put my own screws in. The second issue was the paint did not stick to the replacement bumper. The new shops buy these bumpers for $150 and they are supposed to be pre-primed. If you do not 'scuff' them, the paint does not stick. Yes, I went back. The guy said they repaired only the left side - which is peeling in this photo. I bought a new bumper for $200 and will have it painted soon for another $300 and do it right. Yes, intentionally I waited years to post my pictures because I knew how bad it was going to look. The first peeling was too early and to a novice looked like road damage. read more

I had a great experience with Fix Auto. I brought in my car for an estimate after I broke my spoiler off, and Ricky had the technicians take a look. The estimate to replace my spoiler was $1.4k, but because they wanted me to be able to drive the car back home safely, they helped me screw in the spoiler with extra clips they had, free of charge. I'll have to replace it eventually because the windshield wiper fluid is still disconnected, but for now I am very satisfied and it saved me $1.4k. Amazing service and staff! read more

I brushed the passenger side of our Subaru against a post as I was turning into a tight parking space so the door had to be removed and replaced, then painted. At first I submitted photos for an email estimate, but when I took it in, Kyle reduced the estimate. I took my 2011 Prius to Arthur and Gio at Fix Auto recently. I had a gaping hole in the front bumper. They changed the bumper and painted it very well to look exactly same as the car. Apparently as the car was being moved from one to the other space in the workshop, their mechanic ended up scratching the backdoor. Gio and Arthur spoke to me and apologized for the same. They took two additional days and fixed it very well. In fact, they even fixed a few old scratches on the body during those two additional days. They are pretty busy. This place was recommended by AAA because per my request of the proximity to my home. Someone ran a red light and smashed into the driver's side front fender of my car. I went into the shop after my car was towed to sign papers. Was first greeted well on the phone then when I parked my rental car and again when I entered this clean well maintained shop. The are undergoing a name change from "Alameda Collision Repair". Great logo and Kyle Luman has been in my vehicle and personally inspected it. He even considerately asked if I needed to get anything out of the car. So far excellent customer service. It's all in the attitude. More after my car is repaired, I have a great deal of confidence. My car was dropped off on June 11th for damage from a deer and for a stolen catalytic converter among a few other collateral repairs. This was a Geico Claim. As far as I know things are went well with those repairs but the car was running a little rough on my way home. I am having my car evaluated by a AAA shop to check their work. I am very skeptical. I'll update the shops evaluation when I get my car back. When I picked up the car from Fix the key would not turn. It took me and an associate a few minutes to get it to turn over. I tried then he tried and it worked. Then I drove ten minutes to a grocery store. It took me an additional 20 minutes to get it to turn over again. Once I got home I tried to turn it over and nothing happened. In a very nice way they are claiming that this is not their problem. I highly object as this was not a problem when it is dropped off. Additionally, my jack and my tire cover are missing. They claimed it wasn't on the car on the way in. I have a picture attached to prove them wrong at least I have a pic of the tire cover as the car was towed from my house. I caught them in a lie regarding my tire cover. read more
