I came in for a crack in my window shield. They slid me in the next day and didn't bat an eye when I couldn't find my key but promised it was somewhere in there. I came back to my windshield perfectly fixed, my car vacuumed and cleaned with all the bags and sweatshirts organized and in my trunk. They had even found my replacement sun visor that I'd ordered and not installed yet AND INSTALLED THEM FOR FREE. I was driving around with a half ripped visor for a year! I cried from gratitude. The installation for these would have cost me hundreds of dollars at the dealership. They simply replaced a screw in minutes. I can't describe how relieved and appreciative I am. Then they told me my windshield was comprehensive on my insurance! I had no clue in CA you can replace twice for free. I have been a long time customer but their customer service, kindness, and community feel will have me send them everyone I know for the rest of time. Thank you GlassTek. Love, an overworked Mom who is barely keeping it together. I didn't feel judged- just really supported. I wasn't expecting that from getting my windshield replaced. Ps. He also found my key! read more

I was trying to get my windshield replaced originally through my dealership, but they were skirting around costs and when they would be available. Called here, got clear answers on what needed to be done from my end, and was scheduled for a replacement within the week (had to wait for the insurance approval and OEM windshield to arrive). Actual installation was simple - dropped off the car, grabbed a bite and some coffee, and waited for the call that the car was ready. No more than 2 hours. Paid the deductible, and everything looks amazing! Shoutout to the owner - did a great job at replacing the windshield, and even offers warranty if anything goes wrong. Amazing customer service; will definitely be coming back here! read more

Do not let the 5-star rating fool you--there is some serious dirty laundry hidden behind those reviews. My wife and I chose Mo at GlassTek based on his positive feedback, but our experience was a complete nightmare of hidden fees, wrong products, and sketchy business practices. 1. The Bait-and-Switch Pricing: We originally agreed on a quote for 15% tint on the two front windows. Upon arrival, Mo suddenly tacked on an extra $100 for the two small quarter windows connected to the front doors, claiming they were "hard to get to." Total cost would be $270 + Tax for the windows. We agreed and scheduled. 2. Wrong Product Installs & Gaslighting: We explicitly confirmed 15% tint via Yelp chat, verbally at booking, and again at drop-off. Despite Mo even warning us that 15% was dark enough to attract cops, we returned to find he had installed 50% tint instead. He feigned confusion despite multiple confirmations. He apologized and told us to bring the car back the following morning to fix his mistake. 3. The Jet Black Middleman Markup: When my wife returned the next morning, Mo wasn't even at the shop yet. When he arrived, my wife witnessed him driving our car over to the Jet Black Tint shop on Clement Ave. She walked over and met with Mo and a manager named Marvin. Marvin openly admitted to her that the tint Mo had previously installed on our car was "crap" and that Jet Black would replace it with "Quantum Ceramic". Mo also explained that they work out of their shop because they have "more space" there, wish was weird considering GlassTek had no cars and had their big garage empty. While she was there, I called Jet Black's central booking line (888-385-1504) and spoke with Jake. Jake informed me that Jet Black's direct price for all 4 windows in Ceramic at 15% is only $220. Mo was upcharging us significantly just to act as an unhelpful middleman and outsource the work to a shop I have happily used for my past vehicles. 4. Lack of Product Knowledge: When pressed on what brand of film he was actually selling us, Mo couldn't give a straight answer. He just kept repeating "it's Nano Ceramic." Nano Ceramic is a technology type, not a brand. I do not like being fooled or ripped off by business owners who hide what products they are actually putting on my vehicle. We immediately pulled our car, demanded they remove the incorrect 50% tint, and took our business to a reputable shop in San Lorenzo that charged a fairer price for verified Nano Ceramic film. Save your time, your money, and your sanity. Skip GlassTek entirely--this operation is far from up to par. read more

GlassTek - Cracked windshield - Auto Glass Services Near Me - Alameda, California

Glass Tek has come through again for me! A highway rock caused a major split going most of the way, across the windshield. I was quoted 3 hours to complete, it was done in just under that. Also good to note there was a seal at the bottom right corner that was "fixed" by Toyota object then came back out. So not only did Glass Tek replace the windshield for me they did a better job with that seal. This is why I will continue to take my vehicles to Glass Tek for all my busted glass needs. The first time was cause someone shot a BB gun at the windows, to the neighborhoods windows. read more

I recently had my Model Y windshield replaced at Glasstek, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. My friend Kevin noticed the crack on my windshield had been there for a while and took the initiative to research shops around the Bay Area. He found Glasstek, scheduled the appointment, and I dropped off my car on Monday, which was a holiday. Mo was there when I arrived around 11:30 AM. He is genuinely one of the nicest and most respectful people I've met. We chatted for a bit, and interestingly, I realized that about 14 years ago, I had my Camry windshield replaced at this same shop while waiting for my wife to pick me up. That level of consistency and longevity says a lot. I let Mo know I needed to head to San Jose and would be back around 5 PM to pick up the car. He was very understanding and accommodating. When I returned, the car looked like new again. The installation was flawless, and the quality of work exceeded my expectations. On top of that, the price was amazing, significantly better than every other place I checked, without compromising quality. Customer service like this is rare these days. Professional, honest, and truly caring. I'm very impressed and highly recommend Glasstek to anyone needing windshield replacement. read more

Mo is fantastic. He is personable, knowledgeable, and he did a great job. I would highly recommend this company

Zohrab (I hope I spelled that right) and Mo were wonderful! I stopped by yesterday without an appointment to get two windows replaced after a break in. I got a quote on the spot for the windows, and Mo called back with a quote on tinting a short while later. The quote included replacement tinting on my rear window (might as well while he was at it), and both quotes were very reasonable. The whole job was completed in a few hours, and I was all windowed up again before the rains started. They did a beautiful job. I know removing the old tint was not easy, so I appreciated that Mo not only took care of it, but so quickly! They were also both so kind. This business was recommended to me by a friend, and I will be recommending it to my own friends now as well. Thank you guys! -Kisa read more

Friendly, quick quality service. Highly recommend. Great local business. Mo was easy to work with.

Great experience with GlassTek. Mo took the time to carefully evaluate a rock chip on my windshield and clearly explained why replacing the windshield was the better option rather than attempting a repair. He was extremely thorough, inspected everything in detail, and went the extra mile to find OEM glass for my vehicle. Mo also handled the insurance process and helped get the replacement approved with no hassle. Professional, honest, and high-quality service. I would definitely recommend GlassTek for windshield replacement or repair. read more

I can't say enough good things about Mo. From start to finish, he was one of the kindest and most respectful people I've ever dealt with. My friend KD dropped off his car at 11:30am for a windshield replacement, and the car was ready by 1:30pm , super fast turnaround. The work was absolutely flawless. You can't even tell the windshield was replaced. Clean, precise, and professional. What really stood out was Mo's understanding and flexibility. KD had to be in San Jose for a Lunar New Year celebration, so he couldn't pick up the car right away. He came back around 5pm, and Mo was completely understanding and agreed right away without any issue. Great workmanship, honest service, and genuinely good people. This place is a hit or miss. The very first time I took my car here... both the installer and sales rep (their names: L**s and M****n) were super friendly and professional. L**s was very meticulous with my car. The inside of my car had floor mat coverings and my dashboard clean - just like what when I dropped it off. He explained to me everything he did. I was impressed. Therefore the next time I got my windshield damaged, I opted to go here again. Unfortunately... I did't have L**s as the installer but M****n and he was so horrible. The inside of my car my so dirty. It had remnants of the installation and my dashboard was filthy. I was so mad. I didn't have time to fully complain b/c they were installing another car and they were all rushing. It was completely unprofessional. Even the sales rep (J**i) was rushing me. They were so in rush that they had to call me back so that they could fix my EyeSight. Not to mention my floor mat was filthy. I went to Chevron and cleaned it all out. I'm not sure who the owner of this place but my goodness... if or when I need to go here, I'll be sure to ask if L**s will be the one installing my window and not M*****n or J**i in the vicinity. For folks wondering where the photos as proof? Do you want to drive a car filthy and disgusting any longer than you have too? Nope... not me. read more

I'm not easily impressed by businesses but when I am, I prolly went to Glass Tek. I have been here multiple times with different cars with broken windshields and other windows. Lately it has been the rear wing on my Audi because I'm dumb enough to drive to Oakland and park for a minute. That's another story. I have zero deductible for glass which is nice. Even nicer is after calling Glass Tek that whole process is painless. The other plus is they let you know what is going on every step of the way. When the glass was ordered, when it will arrive, setting up an appointment, and when it's done. Pain free and easy. And not only was the area where broken glass is all over the place vacuumed, the whole car was vacuumed. All's y'all's other business owners out there get your window broken and go to Glass Tek to understand what customer service looks like. Huge shout out to Jedi and Moshen today.
