Megan is the woman of the hour! I filed a claim with my insurance because of a cracked windshield on my little Lexus. Megan promptly called me (and mind you, she had to try me for a few days because I was behind on getting back to voice messages) to complete my intake. We had some issues with my deductible -- long story -- but we worked through it. Not only was she empathetic to my situation but she was courteous and professional throughout every single phone conversation. She helped me set up my mobile repair and took payment for my deductible over the phone. Truly, she made it painless and seamless. My glass specialist, Louis, called me the morning of my appointment date. He was able to arrive earlier than scheduled so we gladly welcomed him over. Once Louis arrived, he quickly got to work. By the time I was done with a couple of work meetings -- he was done! He replaced my cracked windshield with a factory branded glass, and it looks beautiful. Brand spankin' new and I love it. My experience with Glasstek was nothing short of exceptional. I would highly recommend this glass repair shop to any and all in the market -- y'all will not be disappointed! read more

One day I was driving and saw a van saying Auto Glass Repair and Replacement. I took a photo just incase I needed it. Boy I am so glad I did. My BMW window stopped rolling up and down and I suspected in was the regulator because I had a similar issue about 4 years ago. I took my car down to the same shop as before. He said he will call me to let me know about the diagnosis, even though I kinda knew what it was. He did call me and gave a price double what he had charged me before. I told him to hold off. I remembered the picture I took and thought to give them a try. The initial call was routed to Fremont but I found out that they have a local shop as well. I went to that shop and got an estimate which matched what I received from the Fremont office. I left my car there for maybe 30 minutes! It was done in less than and people who work there Mo and So could not be any nicer and more helpful. I haven't had such a pleasant experience with any repairs needed for a LONG time. I give the 5 star and give more stars if available. Best shop and best experience. read more

If you had to wait 3-4 weeks for an OEM Toyota windshield, you were not alone. I had a cracked windshield on my 2020 Tacoma, and of course I called GlassTek. They explained all about the OEM windshield and the camera calibration. Okay, well my insurance covered it. But wow, the supply lines are slow! It took over a month to get the OEM windshield. But the job is done correctly....install and calibration, about 4 hour job. Thanks alot read more

WOW! I only had plans to go get a quote to replace my front windshield, and they told me they had it in stock and could replace it in about 3 hours so I said let's do it. They did exactly that and more! From the guys that did the installation like Moshen and Jonny to the gals handling the customer service/insurance side, the service was excellent. They were all professional and helpful, and made this experience a pleasant one. Highly recommended! If you can stick around awhile while you wait for your car, there are good restaurants nearby and a cool arcade/mini golf place called Subpar. Fun way to pass the time while your car is being worked on. read more

Someone broke my back vent window looking for something valuable in my trunk the other night (there was nothing worth stealing). Today I called GlassTek to get the window replaced. When they replaced a windscreen, they discovered rust in some areas. They used a motorized wire brush to remove the rust then painted primer before attaching the new windscreen. Although the warranty is shorter, I'm glad they took the effort to reduce the likelihood of leaks. read more

It was my fault - I made the rookie mistake of parking my car in broad daylight on a busy street, thinking my car would be fine--nothing inside except for empty grocery bags. But nope - like moths to a flame, the grocery bags held too much temptation. It was so frustrating! I mean how I felt, not how the person who broke into my car felt after discovering all that effort was expended on empty bags. If this happens to you, call GlassTek and hope Megan answers the phone. She takes care of business and is hilarious - a genuine person. I called on a Friday and was told they would have OEM glass by Monday. I dropped my car off first thing Monday morning, and two hours later, my car was fixed and ready to go. I had never been to GlassTek, nor did I know anyone who had. It was a shot in the dark, and I hit the bullseye. I know that folks like the convenience of having mobile repair but leaving the house to support a local business with better prices and service far exceeds the whole stay-at-home thing. Going into a business and getting to know the people that work there builds community and instills trust in the process. GlassTek is worth leaving the house for - and they are so chill you can show up in pajamas! read more

I would just like to post a compliment here based on a phone interaction I had with this business about a week ago. My insurance company had left our family stranded and without a vehicle after a window break-in, and we were starting to panic. The team at Glass Tek answered their phone immediately, which other businesses did not. They answered all of my questions promptly, honestly, and they went above and beyond the call of duty to give me some realistic repair options. They were so nice, and I am really grateful just for the human element. If you live in Alameda and need glass work, 10 out of 10. These folks are good people. read more
