My car was hit by a truck and sustained some minor damages as shown in the photo below. Took it to Caliber. Was told the tear down would cost $175 if I elect not to go through the repair with them. They quoted my insurance company over 10K for this which is laughable. I then decided to go somewhere else for the repair and all of a sudden the "tear down" cost $372. It honestly takes a technician one hour at best to do that and he gets paid $40/hr. So Caliber is trying to make 90% profit on a simple tear down or any repairs? Just a bunch of money hungry crooks. I got in a fender bender, and AAA sent me to Caliber, Charles took really good care of me. He went above and beyond. He got my car back 3 days sooner than originally promised. While the repair was done as agreed, they washed my black car before I picked it up and absolutely scratched the hell out of my paint. I am very carful washing my own cars and follow a very specific routine to avoid scratches. You would think a body and paint shop would know how to wash a car without scratching the paint. So, if you decide to use this shop, DO NOT let them wash your car before they give it back. read more

Negative Experience I saw the red flags before but I still gave it a chance. I called on Wednesday afternoon and kept getting transferred. I asked to see if I could come in to get an estimate and got transferred twice and hung up on once. The next day I showed up on a Thursday afternoon looking to get an estimate (minimal damage fender bender). Met with Tony D. He briefly looked at my car and said he would send me an estimate the next morning. I did not receive any email contact through Friday morning. I called around 1pm and the receptionist Beatrice said that Tony was at lunch. I didn't hear from him for over 2 hours so I followed up as this was a Friday afternoon and I knew that they were closed over the weekend. She said he went home for an emergency. I asked why I wasn't notified by her or anyone else and she had no response. I asked to speak to the manager, Cesar and she explained she would have him call me. I never received a call back. I could have had an estimate by someone else on that Friday but I had to wait until Monday to get a response from them. I even sent a response on the corporate level and did not receive much action on their end either. Instead I went to the Caliber Collision in Lake Forest and they were so much better. I would never work with this location again. read more

Came here to fix a small accident on my Nissan Altima and the receptionist (Grace, i believe) was extremely helpful in setting me up and answering all my questions. Appreciate her a lot for being patient with all my concerns! I then had Z or Zdenko to actually help service my car. He was extremely knowledgeable and set me plenty of follow ups and status updates on my car. When i got my car back it pretty much looked new. Appreciate them for also cleaning/washing my car! If you have farmers or state farm car insurance, this shipped automatically covers cosmetics repairs for your vehicle. You just need to pay a deductible. The staff is extremely helpful and will provide daily updates via text and phone calls. I drive a Lexus RX that had damaged lights and 3 doors keyed severely. I was able to get a fresh paint job that matched the original paint and 2 brand new lights that were configured correctly. Conveniently there is an enterprise up the street, that allows you to get your rental during this repair period. I appreciate the follow up calls to check in on the quality of work, even after the vehicle was taken home. This shop is certified through BMW and I fully trust their talent and am impressed by their quality of service. read more

To be honest, Caliber Collision is usually my go-to place when an accident happens; however, I do not recommend this location. First and foremost, I just want to say that the receptionists are so great and the people in Caliber really know how to fix cars, no issues about that at all (5 STARS to the quality of how they fix cars) However, I had a bad experience with this location as I got my car back with damage on my door handle. It was cracked in which I KNOW it wasn't cracked before handing them my car. I let them know right when I got my car back and I was given a run around for two months with probably over 4-5 follow-ups and was ignored by Ernie (the manager who handled my car at the time). When I finally got a hold of them, I was referred to Sergio who helped me out so I went to the location the first time and waited and turned out the part that was ordered was incorrect for my car so I went there or nothing then was rescheduled back in (Wonderful that I wasn't given the run around this time). I went there at around 9am on a Monday for an appointment and decided to wait til I got my car fixed. I waited for about one hour and a half after I was told it would "only" be 30-40 mins, which was FINE. I was led to my car and they did a great job fixing my door handle. However (again), I was not given my keys back with my house keys and everything. Sergio said that he'll be right back to get my keys in which he took ANOTHER 40 MINUTES and was no where to be found and I had no idea why, mind you I also have a job and a life. I am very nice about the situation as it is but I really lost my patience after that. I even had to reach out to the other individuals (which I felt bad for cause they didn't do anything wrong). The one man I asked even asked me whether I even got my car fixed in that location..... "No sir, I am hanging out here for no reason AT ALL." Hello???? Anyway, I definitely felt like my time was not respected at all considering that I was waiting there for over 2 hours AND after I was given the run around for over two months after getting my car back with damage. Maybe I just got very unlucky but as for my experience, I don't recommend this location AT ALL. read more

Probably the worst experience I have had with any body shop. It's not my first time with Caliber either. I had my car fixed years back, and even though it was an older car, it came back looking like new. This time, however, it was a nightmare from day 1. It started from a disconnect with my insurance, and treated me as if they didn't even want my business. There was a dispute with the repairs costs and several back and forths that took over 2 months to agree on and start the repair...ridiculous! If Caliber Irvine didn't want my business, they should've clearly communicated that and I would gladly take it elsewhere to prevent this from ever happening. Once the service started, the nightmare continued. I was advised that the repair would take 1 week so I dropped it off on monday and picked up on Friday. Once I came down to pick it up, there was a clear spot on the paint that had no clear coat, and if you look at the rest of the paint job on the roof, there were a lot of dust particles trapped in the clear coat. Clearly, no care was taken to QC this job. Mind you, this is a 2022 brand new car so compared to the rest of the car, it clearly stood out. They took it back, acknowledge the shoddy quality of the job and told me to come back next week to pick up so I did. This time, the only improvement was that the spot that had 0 clear coat was patched up, however, the dust particles were still there and very obvious, especially if you run your hand through it. So they took it back again. 3 weeks later, after quoted 1 week in the shop, I come to pick up the vehicle again. They didn't even bother informing when to pick up until the day of after I called several times. They somehow spilled a drop of clear coat on the rear of the vehicle that they should have not even touched at all, so now there's a rough spot on what was pristine original OEM manufacturer paint, probably due to laziness from not covering unaffected part. Still dust particles in various spots, and especially on the sides of the roof, the entire paint job feels rushed with rough spots and dust particles trapped in the paint. The explanation was that there was a dust vent on where the car was painted. Again, this is a brand new 2022 car so my expectation is that it comes out as such. This sounds like basics and they couldn't even prevent contaminants from a paint booth. I give up at this point, and just need to pick up my car just so I can get to work everyday. This was a huge waste of time, no care for quality work and clear disregard for the customer. This definitely deters me from doing business with Caliber ever again, so you can expect some reviews on google or yelp. read more

Finally getting a chance to submit a review of this absolute disaster of a repair shop. Zero quality checks on my car before handing me the keys. I get into the car and all of my BMW's safety sensors do not work because they did not recode my car before releasing it to me. So every time I get into my car, I get 3 notifications that my car is not functioning (a technician did not notice this?). My car also did not have an alignment before being released to me. I wanted to avoid going back to this shop that I paid out of pocket for an alignment at BMW. The dealership told me that it would cost me $500 to code my car (considering paying and sending the bill to my insurance company that has a contract with this horrible shop). Just last week the epic job this shop did for me still appears as I find out that they did not even bother to put the lock bar back into the back door they replaced. The passenger door that they replaced has to be slammed in order for it to be locked (a technician did not notice this?). I am completely at a loss at how this shop is in business without being sued for letting someone drive away without crashing from being given an unsafe vehicle. I am now getting a chance to send this review to the corporate office at Caliber. I agree with other bad reviews on here that this place is a nightmare for BMW owners who sadly end up bringing their car here. Completely regret taking my car here. Wasn't notified that the entire building is under construction. There was only one small tape arrow toward a door on the side. Employees did nothing to help confused customers climbing through caution tape to try to get inside. There's no place to park while waiting for inspection, yon just have to drive up and down the crowded street . I wasn't given a time estimate and when I pushed them they finally admitted they wanted over three weeks to repair the small scratch. Update: because I mentioned the repair time estimate seemed why too long, my contact here ordered a stop work on my car as punishment. He called to let me know today and was incredibly rude and weirdly personal. I can't believe this is a real shop. I checked with my insurance and they've already taken the entire amount of money for the repair but according to this person, who I'm pretty sure is not operating according to procedure, they're refusing to fix the car. I had the best experience here, I was treated like royalty by Zoenko M. and was lucky enough to get him as my Service Advisor. He made sure to give me daily updates on the work being done to my car, his conversations with my insurance agent, and put me in a rental car. The car got a new bumper, at first that wasn't going to be included in the damage by the insurance company of someone hitting my car in a parking lot. But, Zoenko spoke to my agent, and assured her, that just fixing what was visible would not be sufficient. My bumper at a later date could have just cracked and their work not be efficient. So, once he spoke to my agent, they approved a completely new bumper, which I was thrilled about, and they just billed the person who hit me a larger expense. Visited this location last Thursday asking for a bid on a repair for my vehicle. Not sure why they asked me numerous times if this was an insurance claim or was I paying out of pocket. My reply over and over again was out of pocket. The rep said he'd have it done in the next few hours. I left there approx 12:00. At 3:00 I called and the man who answered said it would be sent by the end of the day. On Friday I called and they again asked me out of pocket or insurance.....WHY? Anyways she says maybe I'm calling the wrong number. No Its in my phone. She then says it takes 72 hours for the quote. SO now its Tuesday evening, and nothing. Even if they have the wrong email, they can call me ........How can they do good work if they cant even do a simple quote. Going elsewhere. Just wanted people to beware....... read more

Richard Hurtado and team did an AMAZING job on my M5! Went to a Dodgers game and came back and found my passenger side rear quarter panel had been nailed in the parking lot. Called State Farm and did a quick search on Yelp and decided on CC @ 7 Oldfield due to their work done on almost all - if not exclusively on - BMWs. Dropped off the car on a Monday and was consistently provided updates by way of text. Richard called me the following Monday and said the car was done but that a cooler warning had come on. I told him that I just recently received that error message so he said he'd take the car to BMW Irvine and have them take a look. STAY AWAY! I should have trusted my instincts and other reviews about this location. Called to ask if I can get a quote. Informed receptionist that their online quote is not working. She said, " I don't know, I don't on our website." She said if I can get down there within an hour, they can get me a quote. Got here is 20 mins, completed paperwork and sat in waiting room for 20 mins and no one came by. There weren't any customers there. Just employees talking to each other. This place is ridiculous.
