I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Fix Auto Irvine. My insurance company directed me to this shop as their preferred body shop for a windshield replacement so I expected a professional and efficient experience. Instead I encountered poor customer service and a complete lack of communication. I scheduled an appointment with Armando and brought my vehicle in for an estimate on June 25. From the moment I arrived Armando was rude, dismissive and condescending. Rather than treating me like a valued customer I felt like I was an inconvenience. What happened next was even worse. Five days have now passed and I still have not received the repair estimate. Despite multiple follow-up calls and reminders to both Armando and Jessica no one has provided the estimate till now. Having to repeatedly chase a business for something as basic as an estimate for new windshield is unacceptable. It's difficult to understand how a shop can be an insurance company's "preferred" repair facility when it cannot provide timely communication or basic customer service. If this is how they treat customers before the work even begins it does not inspire confidence in the quality of the repairs they perform. I have wasted valuable time waiting for an estimate that should have been provided promptly and the entire experience has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. So far so good. I found fix auto as part of geico's preferred network of repair shops, and decided to give the a shot. Upon dropping off my car, I was greeted by Lee, he was super polite with excellent customer service. The shop is quaint, small waiting area with a little kitchen that offers coffee while you wait. Paperwork was quick, and then it took about 10 min for enterprise to come and pick me up to take me to my rental. I got an email from a Jacky once we were ready to proceed with inspection, and she was prompt with her email responses and very cordial as well. Juan is who has been calling me to keep me updated on the progress of my car, also super nice, takes his time to answer all questions, and makes you feel super reassured about the process. Overall so far the experience has been great. They are super busy so I did have to catch a few misses here and there with the inspection and paperwork but, once it's pointed out they're quick to fix anything needed. I picked up my vehicle on a Friday because they said it was "ready." I did not drive my car until Monday and noticed the Driver Assistance was restricted. These are sensors, they were working perfectly fine before I took the car in. The work they performed was for the rear bumper and trunk of my vehicle. I took the vehicle back that Wednesday and I did not hear back from them until I called on Friday. One person told me that they were "almost done correcting the issue and should be done in an hour or so. Then at 4:30 pm that Friday 3/20/26 they told me that it's looking like Monday. Monday comes and no one follows up with me. Now Tuesday 3/24/26 I call again at 11:30am and they tell me that they wont be able to fix the issue because insurance does not want to pay for it. Missing cargo tray and no accountability -- disappointing experience at Fix Auto   I brought my 2020 Hyundai Kona to Fix Auto on December 16 for repairs to the right-side doors after an accident. My insurance later determined the cost of repairs exceeded the vehicle's value, so the car was declared a total loss. I scheduled an appointment for December 23 to retrieve my personal belongings from the vehicle.   While removing my items in the back of Fix Auto's secure storage lot, I noticed my OEM Hyundai cargo tray (valued at over $100) was missing. I asked the employee assisting me, "Lee," to help locate it. He went into the shop, returned a few minutes later, and asked me what a cargo tray was. Moments after, he acknowledged the term, but maintained there wasn't one in my car and told me I was "out of luck." He pointed to my contract, saying customers are expected to remove everything when leaving the car for repairs, and added that the shop doesn't steal and rarely works on Hyundais.   I asked for a claim or incident form to document the missing item. Had a minor fender bender caused by someone else and their insurance was taking care of it. We weren't too concerned about the work since it was basically replacing a plastic bumper trim that's not rocket science. We went to a place closer to our home, but found their communication was lacking even before any work started. Decided to bring it to FIX for anothet quote. It was night and day. Is there such a a thing as over communication?? So first off, everyone at FIX is super professional. I got started with Lee and thought this guy's great I hope I continue to work with him. But then I talked to a couple others throughout the process and everyone was on top of it. On top of that I think I got daily emails letting ne know my estimated date was still on target. I know mine was a small job but everything was on point and it felt nice to be kept abreast. At pick up there was a discrepancy with my deductible and I thought this was where everything was going to fall apart. It took them 2 minutes and 1 phone calls to resolve the issue. Aside from that one small issue, everything else was seamless from start to finish. One last thing to mention, their location is close to a lot of heavy construction and dump trucks. As I was dropping off my vehicle I thought for sure there would be a layer of construction dust on my car when everything was done. I was surprised to get my car back cleaner than when I dropped it off. FIX auto is definitely a solid choice and will be my first choice if I ever have to go through this process again. read more

I just picked up my 2022 Tacoma pickup from fix auto. I was in an accident a couple of weeks ago. When I saw my truck, I was so extremely glad to see what an awesome, Beautiful, outstanding job they had done on it. It actually looked better than it did before the accident. It also looked like the truck had been detailed, inside and out. All during the time it was in their care, I was informed on a regular basis as to what stage it was at during the process. I also received it earlier than originally expected. The day before pickup I received a call from a gentlemen named Lee to ask me about a certain color detail on a part. He also sent me a photo. I told him that it was not the correct color and let him know the color it should be. Lee immediately told me he would get it corrected and that I could still pick it up the next day. When I arrived to pick it up, Lee met me and took me to my truck. As I said previously I was ecstatic they had done such a great job. Lee and all the staff at fix auto were very friendly and helpful. They never color sanded or polished the paint just gave it a wash and called it done. I took it back, hoping they'd make it right, but again, it looked untouched. My father restores classic American muscle cars, and we both immediately saw the lack of attention to detail. This wasn't polished not even close. This shop is a textbook example of workers cutting corners, assuming the customer won't know the difference. Unfortunately for them, I do. Stay away from this shady shop. Referred by AAA insurance, started process same day as accident, front desk staff was courteous, took my car in and began repairs. Less than 1 week later, the car was finished, and I thought wow that was fast! Perhaps it was too fast... when we came to pick up the Lexus, the drivers side brake light wasn't working. Luckily, my husband noticed before we left the lot. The light was working fine after the accident and worked fine before the shop worked on the car. As this is a safety issue, we did not let the car leave the shop. They found the problem but claimed it was not accident related. They would not believe us that it was caused by the accident on the drivers side rear quarter panel and rear door. They insisted that we take the car to Lexus to have them perform a diagnostic test to determine what the cause was, at our own cost. Why should we pay for that when the shop can subcontract the diagnosis fees. Lexus determined that the part failed as a result of the accident or improper removal of the tail light. I 100% feel that a more thorough pre and post vehicle inspection would have definitely prevented this major headache to us. Checking the lights and safety items are functioning properly is a major concern letting a vehicle go back to a customer with a non functioning brake light can lead to a completely preventable tragedy. I feel that the inspector and the company are covering for each other and not including items that would typically be covered with an auto repair. My car remained with fix auto for 2 weeks while we were going back and forth trying to get them to fix the tail light. They wanted us to pay 500-700 to fix the tail light. We didn't pay and we also didn't have a deductible to pay either as the other party accepted responsibility. It added to the stress of an already stressful situation. We eventually had the car towed to Lexus and they fixed the car within 2 days and everything was fine. Also, my all weather floor mats went missing. I don't know if it was fix not reinstalling them after the repair...but they aren't there. So save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. I don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Whoever did the damage assessment priced the repair cost way too high for our insurance that they had to classify the car as a total loss. This means that our insurance would not pay to fix the car and we would have had to give up a perfectly drivable car for a fixed amount of money to purchase another used car. This was not acceptable. The inside damage behind the bumper that added to the repair cost was not consistent with what the outside minor damage showed which felt shady. We had no choice but to take back the car after being charged an additional fee and take it to another local shop which not only fixed everything for a bargain price, but we had extra money to spare from the insurance money. I dropped off my car this morning with them after a two week wait, which had me frustrated, but I can now understand why there is a wait for this place! If you want an actual competent, trustworthy reliable shop that is going to respect your time. PLEASE AVOID!! what ever you do if you get referred to this establishment PLEASE SAY NO and GO TO ANOTHER SHOP. I recommend Tokyo Automotive or Caliber Collision. So I have had two experiences with this place: November 2022: Used insurance, flawless experience, and my car looked and felt great. October 2023: Paid it fully, lots of miscommunication, and as much as my car looked great on the inside, my car's evaporator and condenser somehow broke when there was nothing wrong when I brought it in, and my car door and steering wheel were very stiff. Pros: They are VERY quick to fixing your car. Expect maybe 5-7 days instead of 2 weeks like they tell you. Also the staff are kind and they do try to stay communicative with you. Cons: Misleading info (I was told I can pick it up Friday but five minutes later they call back saying Monday), and they didn't on my second trip check my car completely to make sure it was before (picked it up with hot air blasting through). I called them to speak about it and they never followed up. Overall, really depends what people choose to take (insurance or pay it fully) and whether or not you need a fix right away or not. Although Fix Auto's employees, Scott and Destinee, were very polite, the overall experience with the body shop, in general, was terrible. The body shop refused to recognize the electronic issues caused by my collision (front bumper), even though there is clear evidence from the vehicle's pictures that the crash affected sensors in the fender. In addition to the electronic warning messages in the dashboard not being addressed, the car repair remains incomplete as the "chrome delete" (black out) of the front grille required the body shop to have their wrapping specialist set up a separate appointment (still have not received contact from Fix Auto's wrapping guy). Admittedly, I take partial responsibility as I should not have paid my deductible until all the items were complete. Eventually, AAA had to tow my vehicle from the Fix Auto body shop to Newport Lexus, where the service technicians stated that there was damage to the sensors, as well as electronic harness behind the front emblem, where there are additional sensors in the Lexus gs350. I even requested a 2nd opinion, and Lexus Escondido stated that front collisions require recalibrating of the sensors (which I'm told are standard operating procedures - and a competent body shop would know that). In my car's case, it was obvious that the crash caused the electronic sensors to malfunction due to damage from the collision (picture attached). Even though Fix Auto was recommended to me by AAA, I warn anyone with a newer model vehicle to avoid Fix Auto at all costs. It's not worth the headache to try and work with this shop, due to i) the company pushing the premature return of a vehicle with incomplete work, coupled with ii) their lack of knowledge regarding the repair of vehicles with newer electronics (pre-collision warning, blind spot monitoring, parking assist, VGRS, stability/traction control, etc.) read more

I have taken my car in here before so I took it back thinking I would receive the same service but I got back my car with more problems then I had brought it in with. I drove around the corner after picking up my car and I heard an unusual sound so I drove it back to the shop and the front desk guy told me he heard it and told me it was a dealership problem. When I asked him if it was okay to drive he said it should be okay. He told me I had picked up the car and if I wanted to reopen the claim I had to call my insurance the following day. Concerned about my car I made and appointment at my dealership the following morning. When I took it in they told me the issue was in the front bumper of my car which is where they did the work on my car. First of all, let me start with the timeline. I had reported some damage to my Tundra in November. State Farm had been following up with me and Fix Auto to come in. Well due to holidays I sort of took my time to go in. Called around Christmas got an appointment within days. Rescheduled and got an appointment within a week. Finally dropped off the car on 1/16 at about 2 pm. And received a call on 1/20 by 2 pm that my car was serviced and ready to go home. I was shocked! They kept in touch with me daily to let me know what was going on with the repair and when it would be ready. And on the day I picked up the repaired vehicle the smiling staff had me on the road within minutes of my arrival. The repair was flawless. Good work! I've gotten my car fixed here twice and my sister got it fixed here once. Both times I came in, it was due to my car being involved in a hit and run where it was parked and someone else kindly hit my car and drove off without a note. Sucks but that is life. They have fantastic customer service, are fast, and parking isn't too bad. Be careful if your car is lowered as the entrance to the lot has a bit of a dip and I have lightly scratched the bottom of my Prius by not exiting at an angle. ( No, I did not lower my Prius but the front is manufactured slightly lower than the average car. A fact I discovered within the first week of owning my car. ) Both times they have been sympathetic and quick at fixing my car. The first time, they assisted in finding me a rental car and updated me with the progress and were able to finish faster than originally expected. They even washed and vacuumed my car! It came back looking and smelling great! The second time I came in, the tech walked to my car with me to note to get an estimate and when I asked him to let me know if it was worth the $500 deductible he said let me take a look, asked me to wait a second and came back with a bottle and a cloth. He put some liquid on the cloth, wiped and was like there you go! It was just a light scratch, he buffed it out and I was in and out, no charge to me! When my sister went, they also had excellent customer service and when the rental car was going to try and tell us too bad, so sad, shit out of luck, we called them to see if the call had been made and when it turned out the rental car company had dropped the ball along the way, they called the rental car place, ripped them a new one and then called us back to let us know we could get a car. Woohoo! Crisis averted! When we came back to pick up my sister's car, they were absolutely amazing customer service and her car came back looking like new as well. I have no real complaints about this place and happily recommend it to friends and coworkers as a place I can trust to get cars fixed. read more

Let's get the important stuff out of the way, I always felt super safe and taken care of in regards to COVID related functions at Fix Auto Irvine. Everyone wore masks, kept their distance and they sanitized the pens and other items I touched while at their location. That being said, my experience with Jessica's (the manager) team was superb! I truly felt like a VIP. I had gotten into an accident and decided to take my vehicle to Fix Auto in Irvine. They already had a partnership with my insurance carrier but their shop was also recommended to me by a co-worker and boy I wasn't let down. The office team, Jasmine and Fleury, kept me up to date the entire time my vehicle was at their shop. They made me feel at ease when it came to the amount of work that was being done on my vehicle. Rob, their estimator, also reached out to me a couple of times to ensure my questions had been answered. Huge shout out to my technician, Manny, the quality of his work is impeccable.
