I do not hand the keys to my car to just anyone. I have been the single owner of my Mercedes C63 AMG powered by the legendary M156 naturally aspirated V8, so when my car was damaged I was devastated. I dropped off my 2024 Kia soul at the body shop and it was rear ended by another party. It has a small dent and a broken backup camera. The other parties insurance paid for the damages and gave us a free rental for 2 months. These crooks at spectrum OVERCHARGED $10,000 to fix a small tiny dent and to replace and back up camera and to replace the back vinyl wrapped portion of the car. I would say that the damages didn't look more than $2500. It's not my $10,000, so I don't care, the insurance carrier got scammed by spectrum. This is why our insurance rates are going through the roof because spectrums overcharging by 4 times. The brand new car was bought 1 year ago for $20,000 and these crooks overcharged the insurance carrier and then took 2 months to fix the car and when we sent an employee to pick up the car, both the back up camera and the vinyl wrap was not installed. The manager Ted had the audacity to give us a $100 check and said do your own vinyl wrap. We will call the insurance carrier right now and explain how fraud was properly brought onto them by spectrum by wayyyy overcharging and not completing the job. We will hopefully get spectrum to fix their problem. $10,000 damage was way overcharging the insurance carrier plus they didn't complete their job properly and didn't complete it read more

My car is beautiful again! I was really worried about color matching and Alvin and his team made sure to pay great attention to detail when working on my car. When I was looking for a repair shop they stood out due to their quality of paint manufacturer. There was an issue with one of my parts coming in painted already and it was actually about 2 shades lighter than it should. Alvin contacted me to let me know and give me my options. They were so amazing and took the part off to sand and repaint it themselves. I would NOT recommend this place. We brought our car in for a minor scratch SIX weeks ago. It's been a constant struggle with delays and they keep saying they need to wait for parts. They even took the car apart, knowing full well they don't have the part necessary, kept it in the shop for a week without work being done -- all while we wracked up car rental charges -- then charged us $380 to reassemble the car while they wait for the part and then when they finally got it, it still took weeks and the car is still not ready. read more

This is going to be short and sweet. They came highly recommended by Irvine BMW. My car (BMW 535i with M-Sport Package) was struck by a recovering multiple DUI offender while parked at my home on a Saturday. Its suspension and steering column were badly damaged. I have been undergoing treatment for cancer / leukemia for the past year and I did not have the energy, time or ability to make an extended effort to be involved in the repair process outside of giving the car to the most trusted shop to take care of it. The repairs were quoted at $18,500, I had no problem with this but my insurance provider would not agree to OEM parts for the entire repair. That issue is one I have with the policy but my concern with Spectrum Collision is the method which everything was handled. They burned through 35 days with the car in their possession and not a single thing had been done. My rental period expired and the my insurance provider was thoroughly annoyed with how aggressively Spectrum was trying to get every single part to be absolutely top shelf even if it wasn't necessary to complete the repair. Ultimately I had to make the decision to have the car transferred to a collision repair center that would complete the repairs and at this point I was annoyed but still neutral with respect to my feelings about Spectrum Collision. The ultimate kicker was when it came time to have the car towed to the other facility Spectrum Collision insisted they should be paid 250 dollars but refused to accept payment from my insurer!!!!! I at this point was absolutely fed up. Luckily my mother stepped in to help handle matters as I write this I'm about to go in for another 7 hour treatment. I am genuinely disappointed with Spectrum and intend to forward my complaint to BMW USA to review their status as a certified repair shop. I would strongly advise anyone reconsider sending their car for repair to Spectrum. Unless price is no object in any context then they will not demonstrate any flexibility or consideration. And professionalism was seriously devoid from this process. read more

This was confirmed also through the Tesla app when I checked what repair centers were available. I was connected with Alvin Sevilla at Spectrum Collision. He did an excellent job and communicated well with me (kept me updated on status of my car). I'm very satisfied with how my car was taken care of. My car was fixed within a reasonable time (projected about 3 weeks long even though it was during Christmas/New Year holidays) and it actually was ready 2 days earlier. When I went to pick up my car, I thought it looked like a brand new car as they also cleaned/polished my car for me. It was as if nothing ever happened and I just purchased a new car. CANNOT SAY ENOUGH HORRIBLE THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE. HAD MY VEHICLE FOR ALMOST A YEAR AND 2 MONTHS! Horrible customer service. Horrible at getting back to you. Horrible at getting your car fixed on time. I was involved in a rear end collission Thanksgiving week of 2021. After speaking to a representative over the phone, they told me it would take about 2 to 3 months to get the car fixed, and to drop off the car. I dropped off the car the first week of December 2021. They told me again that it should take about 2 to 3 months. A couple months go by and I'm given the run around that my car is still not fixed and that they are waiting on parts, and that there were supply chain issues. After a while, they stop responding to my emails, my calls, and so forth. They are horrible to deal with. The person handling my car told me many times he would get back to me the following week and nothing. I would litterally have to email or call a couple of weeks after to follow up, and see what is going on with my vehicle. Then, I am told the person who was handling my car is no longer there. I started to speak with another person about my car. I was told when my car would be ready but guess what? It wasn't even close to being ready. I PICKED UP MY CAR JANUARY OF 2023. Yes, that is correct. Spectrum Collission had my vehicle for almost a year and two months! I felt hopeless in that I couldn't just pick up my car. If they knew there were supply chain issues, they should have let me know from the beginning instead of telling me after my car was disassembled, where I couldn't get my car out. So no only did Spectrum have my car for over a year but you could only imagine the cost of a rental car during this time. I lost a ton of money because of their multiple misrepresentations on when the vehicle would be completed. Heck, I could have just bought a used car to drive around if they were open and honest up front about how long it would take instead of giving me the run around. I really do not care if there is supply chain issues, Covid, or what not. If you know there are problems, you should let the customer know before hand, and before disassembling the car leaving no choice but to leave it there. I wouldn't take your car here.
