The absolute worst. I brought my vehicle in for an estimate in early September, only to be told they will order parts and get back to me. No one from the facility contacted me for more than two months. I kept calling and being told, that they will look into it. Then when I call back for the third time trying to figure out what is going on and finally get a call back from a Manager, I'm told that they don't want to do business because I "sound upset." Yes, Melissa I sound upset because your business wasted 8 weeks of my time with no communication or professionalism. If you're looking for a body shop do yourself a favor and work with anyone else. let me start with that I've taken cars to this caliber at least five or six times over the last 10 years and had outstanding service. not this time. after getting rear ended, I took my car in for an estimate/repairs. the rep (olivia grano) looked everything over, wrote out the estimate, and told me to go ahead and schedule the repair. the only tricky part is that I have an aftermarket back-up camera installed (car didn't come with one), so she said they wouldn't be able to fix that part. that I'd need to go to an electronics shop for that part of the repair. which was totally fine. now, about 18 hours before I was due to drop the car off for repair, I get a message saying they can't/won't do ANY of the repairs. and worse, olivia flat lied to my face when I went in to ask why the change. now she claims to have never said they would do the repair. absolutely unreal. totally unprofessional. (oh, and she also told the AAA rep the exact same thing about repairing the bumper but not camera) read more

Stay very far away from this shop. I've had several problems with them over the years but continue to go only because it's a Gieco approved center and close to my house. I called in today for an time estimate on a bumper repair that Caliber Collision had already worked up, had photos of, and provided an financial estimate for. I spoke with Alina and she was rude and dismissive. She wouldn't give me a time estimate or any details. I asked to speak with her manager to get more details about the repair and she refused saying her manager was not in the office. I asked to speak to someone else in the office and she said she was the only person working today. I told her that I heard other employees speaking in the background and requested to speak to another employee and she hung up on me. I called back and and another employee answered. His name was Manual. He looked at my claim and told me it would take about 3 weeks to do the repair. It's a small quarter sized ding to a bumper with some scuff marks. Three weeks with a rental car just doesn't make sense. This company is too busy for quality service and treat people with complete disrespect. read more

I highly recommend Caliber Collision. This was my second time working with them, but the first at the Avenida Encinas location in Carlsbad. The communication was exceptional, along the way. Manuel was superb and provided regular updates on status and what was being done. The receptionist, Aleyna was extremely personable, patient and helpful too. I am a frequent customer of Caliber Collision. Over the years almost every car on my AAA policy has been in an accident. Caliber has dealt with everything from fender benders to total losses for my family. Car crashes are never fun and always inconvenient. Let's face it, they suck so I just want to get in and out of there. Caliber makes it easy to get her back on the road. They stay in contact with the insurance companies and take care of my steel babies. When I have to wait for service I just start eating all of the goodies in the lobby. Caliber stocks mini Snickers and Milky Way bars, Cheese-It cracker packs, hot popcorn, and even goldfish. Goldfish are great for all of you health conscious people since they have all four food groups including: crackers from the grains group, fish from the meat group, cheese from the dairy group and orange from the fruit group. When I eat enough of their food they come out to help me just to get me to stop eating. So if you are in a car crash, make the most of it and let Caliber deal with your mess and feed you too. read more

I've unfortunately had to use their services on several occasions (have been hit by other drivers more than once!) and I've had great service each time. I especially appreciate their attention to detail and their care of customers over time. On our last visit, we had some issues with our battery afterwards and wanted to make sure it wasn't an electrical issue related to the accident. The branch manager took my car in right away and had it checked out and even paid for a rental car. We determined that it was a battery issue that AAA finally replaced (that's another story) and I had everything back working. It made realize that the companies that provide good customer service after the bill has been paid-- those are the ones to do business with. And Caliber is one of them. Unfortunately a neighbor backed into my parked car. I thought Caliber had a good reputation, it is close by and is one of the insurance company's preferred shop so I made appointment. I told the person who answered the phone that I already had an estimate from the person's insurance who hit me. She seemed fine with it but told me to be sure to bring the estimate. I thought it was odd because she said the appointment wasn't to schedule a drop off but for them to look at the car and to talk about ordering the parts. I was running a bit late the day of the appointment but called ahead to let them know so not sure if that's why the blonde lady who came out for the appointment came on strong saying, "I can't give you an estimate because you already have one from the insurance." I tried to explain that this was the first time I was going through insurance like this to get repairs and was hoping she could take me through the process. After a few minutes it was clear she never wanted to help me in the first place. She said she was waiting for me to tell her what I wanted to do which I was really confused about since I made it clear I don't know the process but brought the paperwork I was supposed to. Then she ultimately said because my white car hood was over two years old and faded they could never match the bumper so they couldn't do the work. So weird. I thought that's literally their job. My car was in great condition before the neighbor backed into it. This is California by the beach. Who's paint job is in perfect condition? I attached a photo so you can be the judge. I'm still not sure what the real issue was ... because I already had an estimate from the paying insurance company? Maybe the person who scheduled the appointment incorrectly scheduled the appointment as an estimate? I don't know but don't come here if you want to waste your time or if you aren't already well-versed in the car repair process. These ppl don't want to explain it to you. P.S. I have brought my car two times to Caliber and both times have been great. Very pleased and satisfied with the work that has gotten fixed on my car. Ruth who works the front desk is amazing at all she does and a sweetheart. Luis has helped me both times with my car and has gone above and beyond in his customer service. The only two things I would recommend that can improve is the text messaging and the service from Enterprise. The texts messages I was receiving, I kept receiving like a day later and Enterprise takes about an hour to pick me up to take me to get my rental when they are only like 5 min away, and they have messed up twice on charges. Again this is with Enterprise only. However I would most definitely bring my car to this location in particular again and recommend to my friends and family because of the great service I received. Very disappointing experience with Caliber Collision in Carlsbad. Commitments made that did happen. Their inexperienced staff and overall poor communication resulted in me having to pick up my vehicle (that they already disassembled) to take to a different repair shop. During that processed they inadvertently broke my windshield which prolonged the experience even further. When I finally was able to pick up my vehicle, the interior was covered in white dust (sanding nearby?), had wax marks all over it, and my windshield even had blue painters tape holding it in place since it was just replaced. The employee had to take it back and do some cleaning while I waited. Very unprofessional and argumentative group. Overall experience was a big waste of time with a company that doesn't do what they say to their customers. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

I had to bring in my car after a family member backed into my car. As upset as I was to have to bring it in, it was incredibly convenient. The women at the front were courteous, offered me a drink or snack and I had an incredible rep- Richard. He kept me up to date on my repairs and completion. Right next door to them is Enterprise Rental car. So easy! My car was done when they said it would be and they did a phenomenal job. It looks brand new!
