Temecula Talk was right! This place is amazing! The food was delicious. Cooked fresh off their grill. I ordered their Gyro wrap with extra onions - the pita bread was warm, toasty and soft in the same bite. The Gyro was perfectly seasoned and cooked. My husband enjoyed his Kafta Kabob plate but wasn't crazy about the fries. The service was super friendly and attentive. They checked on us while we dined. Beautifully finished inside. First time here and wow what a great place !! We had 3 dishes and all 3 were great !! The beef kabob was very flavorful and their garlic sauce is fantastic !! Needless to say the Greek salad was amazing !! The other great experience was both owners came to our table and asked us how our meal was. That's pride in ownership !!! The food here is great and the staff is always kind and welcoming. The spicy grilled chicken plate with spicy hummus, white rice, and veggies is my favorite! I've also noticed that a lot of people love the burgers and wraps here as well, and I look forward to trying those items soon. The vibe is chill, the music isn't too loud, and the other guests are all respectful as well. If you haven't been to Cali Kabob and you're in the area, you should definitely stop by! All I can say is wow. Had the beef/chicken shawarma plate and I cleaned it up! I was super hungry prior and was nice and full after it. The place looks on point with the branding and the name, I hope they take off. Being middle eastern I always appreciate a shop that can mimic how we have it at home. I love mixing in the garlic sauce with the chili paste, my 2 go to sauces. Was very happy with the service and quality, the staff members are extremely friendly. Will be back for sure. The hummus is good but the process or ordering and receiving food is highly ineffective. Not enough staff to be trying to take in-person orders + drive-thru + trying to handle the requests from customers that come after the food is dropped off to them. The staff are really hard working and nice, it's management that needs to do some continuous quality improvement to identify the best processes for taking orders and delivering food. read more

I ordered a Beef Shawarma plate earlier today for lunch. I paid $16, content wise it barely has any meat at all. It felt like a carne asado taco for $3 has more meat compared to this pricey meal. It has plenty, plenty of rice though. It sure will fill you up. I don't mind paying for a $16 fast food meal, however this place is shortchanging customers with the amount of meat they put in their meals. It is definitely not worth the price at all!!! read more

Randy and I tried Cali Kabob for the first time and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. Randy had the Chicken Kabob plate that included the kabob, rice, salad, fries and pita bread. He devoured every bite. I had the Western burger with fries and loved it. The burger was perfectly dressed with BBQ sauce, chopped tomato, an onion ring, pickles and fresh crunchy lettuce. Delicious! Absolutely wonderful!! I am not from the area but was having to throw a reception for 60 people. Ashley and her husband from Cali Kabab went above and beyond to help me with my event. Thier kindness and willingness to help our group made it that more memorable. The food was amazing!! Everything we had was so fresh and flavorful. I was really disappointed with this restaurant today. I placed my food order and sat down to wait. The restaurant was slow and I was the only customer. I waited and waited and waited for my food. I thought it was a long wait but thought maybe they cook to order restaurant. The cashier and cook continued to look over at me and see me waiting. After about 25 minutes, another customer comes in and places his order. Within a few minutes the cashier comes out with his food and gives to him. I immediately ask the young female cashier where is my food that I ordered 30 mins ago? She then turns around and walks down the end of the counter and picks up a bag with food and says, is this your food? I said why didnt you announce the food was ready?? The cashier and cook both see me waiting for an extended period and never say anything!!!!! What do they think I am waiting for???? I will NEVER return to this unprofessional poor service restaurant. Also when I finally received my food, I found the portion size is too small and the bread and hummus was not good. They need to get it together read more

Sooooo good! My husband loves kabobs, so we decided to try Cali Kabob for Father's Day. They did not disappoint! The meat was so tender and juicy! Even the second, and third day for leftovers. Usually I don't care for steak but holy cow, their steak kabobs were like butter! Our order was to-go but the restaurant seemed nice and clean, and the staff were super friendly. Now for the things that I don't like. I hate their phone system. It's a fake person recording that answers the phone. And I don't know if it's a new thing or by accident but they started rejecting or screening calls. So you can't get through to a live person at the location. I like to order over the phone to avoid the ridiculous extra charges from their online ordering. Taxes are $5, you are paying an extra $5 for the order (service fee + cc fee). When you call the order in, you can avoid the service fee. But all those extra fees make me not want to order from there and also make me not want to tip because I have to pay all these extra fees. Also, with all these extra fees the owners should have money to fix the broken window in the front. It's been like that for over a year now. Again, food and customer service are wonderful. But the nickel and dime-ing with all the extra fees is a bit much. Just seems excessive. and please let us talk to a real person to order. Fix your phone system, please.

Unfortunately, my experience fell short of my expectations. While the portion sizes were small, I'm accustomed to sharing dishes, but I was surprised to find that this restaurant doesn't typically offer two meats per plate like most kabob spots do. The kafta I ordered was unfortunately lacking in flavor, which was a letdown. The rice was decent, and the salad was a highlight of the meal. I would suggest also including garlic spread, not just tahini as this would not only add more flavor to the dish but also provide a creamy contrast to the grilled meats.
