To rent you need a Credit card. Not a debt card. I have seen people get very upset when they find out. They also charge a $100 deposit. They need proof of insurance too. You are able to buy it there. We were contacted by them and a reservation was made for us after the Tesla key card we were given at the Van Nuys location did not work. We then drove approximately 45 minutes to this location, only to arrive and have the situation handled very poorly. There was a clean, new Tesla available for pickup, but we were given excuses and were told things that did not seem consistent with what was actually happening. We were also told that they did not have the PIN for the vehicle, which made the situation even more confusing. After driving 45 minutes based on a reservation they arranged for us, we expected the vehicle to be ready and the process to be straightforward. Instead, we felt that we were being misled and that our time was completely disregarded. I strongly recommend documenting everything and verifying who is actually authorized to operate these rental locations before doing business with them. This was an extremely disappointing experience and raised serious concerns for us about how this location is being operated.

This is a small Hertz rental location, and their prices are usually competitive. The two employees I've interacted with are both friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the biggest issue with this location is that it appears to be significantly understaffed. There are only two employees, and even when both are working, one is often outside inspecting vehicles, taking pictures, or assisting customers. Sometimes neither employee is available inside because one is taking a lunch break while the other is helping a customer outside. As a result, you may find yourself waiting inside for 20-30 minutes before anyone becomes available to assist you. I've rented from this location once, and both picking up and returning the vehicle took much longer than expected. When I returned the car yesterday, the limited staffing again caused a significant delay. I want to emphasize that I don't blame the employees for this situation. They have been very nice, and everyone deserves a lunch break. In my opinion, this is a management issue. Having at least three employees instead of two could make a noticeable difference in customer service and wait times. Would I rent from this location again? Yes, if the price is competitive. However, I would plan ahead and allow up to an hour for picking up or returning a vehicle. Overall, my experience was more positive than negative because of the reasonable prices and friendly employees. However, the long wait times are a genuine inconvenience that shouldn't be overlooked. I believe 3 stars is a fair rating. I'm not giving a lower rating because I recognize the employees are doing their best with limited staffing, but I also can't give a higher rating when both my pickup and return experiences involved excessive waiting. Vehicle was in good condition with some minor cosmetic flaws. Nothing major. Vehicle also had a CarFax report which I did like. He also had evidence of a recent vehicle inspection from Pep Boys. All this helps when deciding on making an investment with a vehicle. Test drive went well. And after some time completing paperwork I went to the bank and withdrew the money to purchase the vehicle.
