The worst quality car rental experience. Was in a bind and had to choose this because its location and pick up. The location doesn't answer the phones and get rerouted to the national call center instead. The car smelled and looked like a trash can! Interior was beat up and worn. Brake felt like they wore out and going fail upon applying them, car began to shake violently. Called location multiple times to address this problem and nothing was done. Upon returning vehicle to location to reports the issues with rental experience they just blew it off and disregarded them. Felt like a very unsafe situation like driving a rolling trash on wheels. Take your time as customers and don't stuck in a bind last second to find rental like I did, as you see car are not maintained or keep clean! read more

This is my third experience over the years at this location always positive. Adnan was amazing, he went above and beyond to make sure my needs were addressed. My vehicle was involved in an accident. My insurance co only deals with enterprise. Who does a poor job in accommodating no matter location, situation or daily limit (not the lowest). I live in SCV, I have closer options available, I gladly drive 30 miles to this particular hertz because of their service, they are considerate and accommodating, made the entire process stress free. Manager was friendly and great! The vehicle was clean with a full tank of gas. I had no issues with my 63 day rental. read more

I completely complied with my contract rented on 08/30/24 returned 09/02/24. I have still not receive my invoice on 09/06/24 was charged double. Call customer service employee Sally ID 00449 was rude, The manger at location was also rude & I'm out of option to resolve the double charges . And a additional 50 dollar hold is on my card though I was told to leave the keys in box and park the vehicle because the location was closed which we were never informed that the location would be closed. read more

2 stars is accurate for this location. Below par compared to other Hertz location. One attendant took 45 minutes to explain somebody how to drive a Tesla while I was waiting in lobby. As soon as I walk in, first thing he says is he "might" not have a car for my reservation. What the heck is that? Either cancel the reservation in advance or honor it. Another attendant was more professional and said they will put me in another car. Unfortunately he took off leaving me waiting while this guy schmoozed with above lady. I reserved a car on the Hertz app to be picked up at this location It was confirmed with a hold on my credit card. When I arrived, having spent $100 dollars on an Uber, I was told they had no cars and that there was nothing he could do. Delivered with a smug smile on his face his 'ah well, better luck next time' attitude really grated me. A couple things you could have done, just off the top of my head 1) offered up an Uber voucher to my next destination. The wasted money on the Uber was a pisser 2) offered to check for availability at another location. 3)provided any information as to what happened, and taken some responsibility For a system that doesn't work. I was conviently referred to Hertz by Future Auto Services across the street who I trust ***** completely. Upon entering what appears to be a tiny house, you're in a modest office. Your greeted by Dylan and two other staff members. It was 9am, they had no Gas vehicles, only electric Tesla's in stock which cost more. I decided not to rent a vehicle, but then I visited another rent-a-car place on the way home, there prices were quite costly in comparison. Upon realizing I do need a vehicle I called Hertz to ask if a gas vehice had come in, they said yes; they would hold it for me. I went back to rent it. A Ford Escape, a nice vehicle. I was happy. Upon returning the vehicle the next day before closing, it was busy, and the lot looked full with gas vehicles again. My experience was very good and pleasant. I have no problem recommending this Hertz location. read more

This place is a shit show rented a car for a day picked up on Friday at 430 pm only needed it for one day. The rep said we close early on Saturday at 12 so just park it out front and drop the key in the mail box. I returned the car at 2 pm Saturday and on Monday received a receipt that said I was charged 3 days. I called this rude rep who is lucky I didn't have time to go over to hertz cause I would have punched him tells me that's our managers rule any car not returned by 12 gets charged the whole weekend. I said shouldn't that be something you tell customers he said no I said refund my money or we gonna have problems he told me to contact his manager on Tuesday. Tuesday I come in the guy who rented me the car was in and said nothing they can do I said why didn't you say that I could have kept the vehicle all weekend he said speak to his manager on Wednesday. This is my second review for this Hertz. My car was totaled a while back and I had multiple delays with my insurance...causing me to have to extend my rental multiple times. Dylan and everyone I dealt with were very accommodating and patient with my requests allowing me to extend as long as I needed. They also were very cool about letting me switch cars when my needs changed. (BTW: the cars at this Hertz have always been in top condition and consistently clean.) I'm finally returning my rental and the entire experience couldn't have gone better. The next time I need a rental, I'm definitely coming to this Hertz...and I live on the other side of town with closer options, but the service I've received here is worth the Uber to the Valley! read more

The manager who works here is racist to people of color. I was told there were no cars available even though i had a reservation. A white couple later came in and was able to rent a vehicle after me. He told me i could walk to enterprise then told me to get out his office. I told him i'm waiting on an uber and it's hot outside, he said he didn't care then threatened to call the police and put me on the do not rent list. Never go here! This review is solely based off the customer service that Dylan and Andrew provided during my experience. I can't thank both of these guys enough. I was in and out of there less than 25 minutes at most the process was super transparent. They both gave me answers to all of my questions rather than giving me a business card to call corporate or customer service. we did a full walk-through around the vehicle. They explained all the gadgets all the bells and whistles. It was a great experience. I definitely would recommend it. The car was also very clean as well. read more

This place deserves a 0 star rating. Customer service is trash. How do you cancel a reservation hours before picking up the car. Thats a bullshit excuse telling your customer that the car got into an accident and the replacement car needs an oil change and it won't be ready. Not only that, you basically just shrugged your shoulder and offered no accommodation or help finding another car. This has happened twice where the reservation got cancelled the day the car was suppose to be picked up. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!! Total scam! I reserved a car, had my confirmation, Ubered there to pick it up, and the guy tells me they have no car for me. With a parking lot full of rentals. The guy, big fat Hispanic guy (for future reference if you go in there), said none of those cars were registered. Not sure why their fleet is not registered. Then he tried to upsell me to a minivan for more money. Said that was the only car available. Then mysteriously, said I can upgrade to the Mustang. More money of course, and crazy on gas these days. He was acting very shady, said to wait and he would have another location bring a car. Anyways, almost two hours later I just left and walked to Enterprise about a half mile up the road in 100° heat. They weren't much better, so after an hour there I just Ubered back home. Ended up spending more money on Uber's that day than a rental. Do not go there. While I was waiting at Hertz, and Enterprise, customers were coming in and complaining about similar things--and getting no professional response from any of the merchants. Nobody likes having their car in a repair shop, but Lee made this experience as seamless as can be. If I could give ZERO stars I would! Stay far away from this location! This is going to be lengthy so stay with me here. I was in an accident a while back and have had to rent cars for over a month. I have never rented one through Hertz. I get my pricing online through Priceline or Carrrental.com. Waaay cheaper then if you call direct. I rent my vehicles for one week at a time. I had a rental with Avis that I was returning to Burbank airport because the prices jumped up. So I found a great deal through Car Rentals.com and reserved a car with Hertz at this location. I dropped my rental off at Avis and I got a ride from the airport with Lyft to this location. The minute I walk up to the desk I am hit with resistance. First the guy tells me that he had no cars and had no way to reach me ahead of time. REALLY? ALL of my info was taken at the time I reserved the car. THEN, he tells me that I cannot use my debit card for same day pick up. WHAT??? If I pick the car up the day after I reserve then it's ok. Well, I CLEARLY read the rules when I reserved the car, and it SPECIFICALLY stated that credit OR debit was accepted. I have twice the amount of the rental in my account and they could even put a hold on it if need be! This uncaring robot of a man did not care! I asked for a supervisor and he said I could call corporate and they would tell me the same thing. So now I am STRANDED in this SHACK of a building that they call a Hertz location, on an Island. In the middle of nowhere in Burbank. He didn't even offer me a ride anywhere! Thank God a nice lady who was also renting a car offered me a ride. She witnessed what I was going through and had some human compassion. It took everything inside of me to not break down in tears out of frustration. Dylan was excellent, he was understaffed, I had to go multiple days in a row due a mix up on my end. Dylan helped me get I situated, worked with my company and help find the correct vehicle I needed. If it wasn't for Dylan, I give the whole organization 3 starts if they where lucky. Hertz Corperate was rude, threaten me and did not care to help solve my issues, except 1 nice woman. Other than that Dylan Appel-Ourdennar was exceptional. I don't know ho much he makes but he should get a 5% raise, he is by far the best Hertz employee I have dealt with. read more

I went in a couple times to this specific location to see what cars they have available. Dylan and Michael answered any and all questions I had, gave me advice on how I should proceed and overall great experience. I had a rental set up for weeks. But when I arrived the Pasadena location was out of inventory. I called Hertz's all over San Gabriel. NOBODY HAD A 6 seater!! John Garcia at the counter worked with me. I took home a too small SUV in the hope that overnight (before I took off on my road trip) he could secure one. He kept calling and working it such that when I returned the next morning before my trip he secured a 6 seater. Garbage. I booked a car here through Expedia. We had been unable to find a car to pick up at the Burbank airport so I was aware inventory of rental cars was short. Knowing this, we called the day before we were to pick up the car to confirm availability. We were told that yes, inventory was tight but that we would absolutely have a car waiting for us. While waiting for an Uber to take us from the airport to the rental location, Hertz called to tell me that they wouldn't honor the reservation because we had "booked late" and they had no "extra cars". We booked ahead of time (not "late") because they said they had a car. We didn't need an "extra" car, we needed the one we'd reserved and payed for. They left us stranded. read more

My car got into a fender bender and I arranged for a rental through my insurance company. I was sent a confirmation of the reservation, which included the class of car (compact/standard) and the negotiated rate. I called the location to arrange pickup and they said they couldn't promise they'd have a car but to come in after I drop mine off at the body shop. I did that, arrived at Hertz, and was told that there was no way they could rent me a car for the indicated price. They also said they don't rent compacts anymore. I asked why they took a reservation for a car they don't have at a price they can't honor, and they blamed the corporate office. I said I don't care where it came from, it was a Hertz representative. And then, of course, they offered me another car at a higher price. Classic bait and switch. I told them I was going to call my insurance rep and if necessary, rent a car from one of their competitors, to which someone replied, "Well, don't go to Enterprise because they're notorious for bait and switch," and of course I replied that that was exactly what THEY were doing to me. I then called my insurance rep, who called Hertz Corporate, and in the meantime I had to go back to the body shop and retrieve my car because I didn't know how long I'd have to wait for a rental. Hertz Corporate called the rental location later that day and then, like magic, I got a car at the specified rate. The car was only a year old but was a bit beat up and dirty (a Chevy Malibu), and the "Change Oil" light was on the whole time I had it, around ten days. I used to work for a large corporation and we had a very strict policy of not publicly disparaging our competitors. If I had made a "Don't go to Enterprise"-type comment I'd have lost my job. Hopefully I won't need another local rental but if I ever do, it won't be from here. Stay away. read more

Absolutely most unprofessional & clueless individuals working here. First phoned them we were on our way and would be a few minutes late but they closed anyway. Returned rental day after only for them to show the car was returned 10 days after the original drop off return & charges us over $400 and they want me to wait for them to look into it. Manager taking his time to get the error corrected and not a single call to me to update, apologize or explain the situation? I had to call day after day to get an update and still be told the manager is looking into issuing us the refund and if I wish i could headquarters. Also Hertz is a rip off...if you have a claim the car rental price is higher to rent then if you are walking in and getting discounts via AAA or discount codes. A car that would cost $35 is being rented as $50.00 under State Farm claim. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. Do not rent a car from this Hertz location. They tried to bill me $300 for a nail in a tire. Then told me I was getting a deal by having it go down to $150. Fixing a tire with a nail hole is free of charge at tire dealers. They are just trying to rip people off to make money through insurance claims. Additionally their cars smell like cigarette smoke in or not cleaned properly before being rented. read more
