We scheduled a midsize VW Jetta WE got a hyundai with dirty seats , door handles smoked out and riding 4" off the ground. You have to walk at least a 1/3 of a mile from the terminal to the desk and car lot. I will never rent a car from Alamo again .

Wow, I was impressed with this car rental facility. Our flight arrived on Saturday around noon, there was no need for a shuttle to catch, we just walked our way to the rental car center, not too bad of a walk which included moving walkways and clear and easy signs to follow at the airport. The check-in process was indeed accelerated thanks to Phil... 5 minutes in line, 4 minutes at the counter (we declined all extras), 3 minutes to walk to the garage (right across the rental car center doors) to access our vehicle and exit the rental garage. No delays, no problems, staff was quick and professional, it was remarkable! The return process was just as easy and efficient, with a quality vehicle that met our needs during our weekend trip in SoCal.

DO NOT BOOK! THEY DO NOT REFUND THE MONEY WHEN THEY DO NOT PROVIDE THE SERVICE. SCAMMERS! they are scamming and refusing to confirm officially that they will refund me 600$ which I paid to Alamo in advance and then at the counter say that my card is not accepted. also that they don t have the time to send me a confirmation email for the payment, plus that they say they don t know how many days it takes to refund whilst I already paid 600$. very unpleasant situation on behalf of the woman manager in the inglewood pick up station. There is NOWHERE stated that REVOLUT card is not accepted as well as I don t understand why it was accepted for payment in the first place. You ask me to call and solve when I was left alone in the night by your low manager and woman who absolutely did not empathize and EITHER she was able to tell me where on website or during payment checkout there was info that I cannot pick up with my Revolut physical card!! I also offered to provide a US card details also refused. She said she doesn t have time to send me confirmation that I will get my money back! I am on holiday with almost 700$ blocked because I trusted this scamming and offensive company!

Had a fantastic experience picking up my car at this Alamo location! Came in on a Friday night around 9pm and there was no line. I reserved a Standard SUV and was initially given a RAV-4 (Intermediate SUV). I spoke to Christian M. and asked if there was a bigger car that was an actual Standard SUV and he said someone was going to pull up with one. The staff member pulled up in a Chevy Equinox and it was the same size as the RAV-4. I expressed my concern to Christian and he said he'll go look for a bigger car. Christian ended up finding me a brand new fully-loaded Toyota Highlander and apologized for the wait due to cleaning/sanitizing -- I didn't even wait long! Extremely happy with the car and the service that Christian M. provided! Thank you, Christian!

Love that this place is not crowded on a Thursday evening when other airport locations such as LAX is packed. I was the second in line when I arrived and got my paperwork done within 5 minutes of arrival. Representative was friendly and efficient. After getting the rental contract, you exit the doors and head across the walkway to the garage where there's a representative waiting. Show the rep. contract and he/she shows you the car. I have to take one star off because, unlike LAX Alamo location, you don't get to choose your car. I rented a premium SUV and was assigned one. LAX allows you to walk around the section of car class and choose the cars available. Fast, efficient and not crowded are pluses. Negative is lack of car options.

I wanted to believe that all the YELP reviews were wrong. Why did I think 100+ 1.5 star reviews…read morewere all wrong? Ugh. The check out wasn't bad. The lady wasn't friendly but customer service wasn't something she excelled in. She charged me $258 in "incidentals", when I inquired why so high, she said "You'll get it back when you return the car." Budget and Avis are the only 2 rentals places at Burbank that open at 5:30a. I came at 5am to get in line to return car. 6 cars in line. I'm 2nd. They took first car and fourth car. Did I mention I was 2nd? What the heck? I asked if there was a reason he took the car 2 cars behind me and he just looked at me. It was 5:25a. I asked him if he could inspect my car. He said inspections start at 5:30am. So I asked him what he did with the cars at 5:10am (cars 1 and 4) and he said "Check them in." I said "So basically, they're turned in?" and he said "Yes." So not sure what's the difference between "Turned in" and "Inspected" so I just left my keys on the dash and left and while I was walking to the airport it got notification that my car was turned in. While waiting for said guy to come back and turn in/inspect my car, the 3rd car guy and I were chatting and told me next time ask for a hybrid so I don't waste much gas (I was given a Jeep Compass). I give up.

I flew from Austin to Los Angeles to help my ailing 92-year-old mother who is nearly blind has…read moresevere arthritis and mobility issues. - At the airport, the Budget/Avis agent assured me that the Ford Mustang Mach-E I had confirmed was not available and it says "or similar" - He offered two smaller EVs, either a Kia or a Hyundai with no price adjustment. The listed rate of the Mach-E was $140. - In the lot, I notice near the smaller EVs that there were two Mach-Es - After a haggle the agent relented and allowed me to drive the Mach-E, I had confirmed and paid for ahead of time for 7 days. - Found out it was very difficult to charge an EV in the areas near my hotel or near where my mom lived. Spent hours searching online, finding broken chargers, very long waiting lines or private chargers. - Called Budget to switch to a gas vehicle and was told no problem and no extra charge, return the EV and pick up a similar ICE SUV. - When I returned the Mach-E, the agent, Evelyn decided to rent me a small SUV listed for $70 on their website at that time. - I asked for a similar car with a similar rate. Evelyn refused and became dismissive. She offered me a Mazda CX5, again listed on their website at $70 not the $140 rate of the one I returned. - With no choice or options, I drove the Mazda for the next 5 days. It did not have navigation and made my drives with my mom around LA a lot more difficult and time consuming. - Once back home, I called Budget so-called "customer service". I first talked to Andrea, she refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor. After asking several questions she put me on hold for over 12 mins. She came back and claimed that the rates change often. When I told her that I showed Evelyn the rates using my laptop, she promptly hang-up on me in mid-sentence. - I called back and got agent Valencia. She said she could see that my earlier call was disconnected. She wanted to hear all of it from the start. Again, as I was explaining the rate difference, she also hang-up on me in mid-sentence. I should add that I am an AARP member and used the AARP link to reserve on Budget's website. It also says that I am eligible for a free upgrade. What I got was a down-grade and no charge adjustment.   As many before me have recommended, do not rentle. from Budget/Avis since they are shameless dishonest scammers. NB. Offered "Fastbreak" to skip the lines at pickup. They asked for all my info including DL and Credit Card. As soon as I entered the info, they charged me for the week's rental without asking. Also, non-refundable.
