Do not do business with this company. From the moment I picked up the rental, I had issues…read more I didn't get pickup instructions after booking, so that was a hassle and wasted quite a bit of time from the beginning. I had to call them to ask for instructions, which they then sent AFTER having to call. Once I got in the car, it drove really rough -- the vehicle was not maintained well. Both front seats were damaged, the chargers did not work, a side mirror was damaged. At this point, not only did I no longer need the rental, but I wanted a more enjoyable experience. I headed back to Glendale to return the car. Edwin offered a charger to use but again, this was after having to drive all the way back to Glendale. Edwin asked if I used my charger or the ones that came with the car and instantly said "oh those don't work".... if you know this then why not fix the problem before renting the car back out? Or at least, why not supply a working charger beforehand instead of offering one AFTER a paying customer drives all the way back to the business? When I reached out to my agent, he told me the charging ports were a courtesy and my request for a different car was not suitable. When I requested to return the rental in early, he said "the $99/day tesla I originally booked was not available so they gave me the $130 car for $99. Therefore I can't turn the rental in early because I was already given a discount"... This was done without my knowledge so how is this being used against me? At no other car rental business would returning a car early be an issue OR requesting a car with working amenities be outlandish. I had the rental for 8.5 hours and my card was charged for 3 DAYS. Poor quality cars. Poor customer service. Poor experience overall. Save the headache and use lyft if you can or rent through more reputable agencies like Hertz or Enterprise. I left a review before and the operations manager tried to make it sound as if I did not understand how to operate the car and that was the root of my frustrations. I think you all can read through the lines.

Quantell was the worst! F- AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!…read more Absolutely awful experience at this Hertz location. I waited about 30 minutes just to even be acknowledged, while a full office of customers stood around getting more and more frustrated. At one point there were around 8 people waiting, and instead of managing the counter or helping clear the line, the manager, Quantrell, was outside lazily and slowly washing cars while the office backed up. It was unbelievable to watch. When I finally got helped, I was told there were no rentals available unless I wanted to pay a lot extra for an slightly upgraded vehicle. My other option was to be put on a waiting list as "number 4" and wait by the phone. Seriously. So instead of honoring reservations or offering real solutions, this place seemed more focused on pushing customers into paying more even after we all had to wait long. The customer service only got worse from there. One employee the older lady with the dyed red hair was rude, combative, and completely unpleasant to deal with. Quaytrell was no better. He was misleading, unhelpful, and clearly not capable of managing the location. He even told me other rental companies would probably be out of cars too, which turned out to be a complete LIE!!! I walked over to Enterprise and was in a car within 10 minutes, with multiple vehicles sitting right there on the lot. The Hertz glendale location had no idea what they were doing, did not care, or both, probably both. Unqualified people are working here, Quartell is a complete joke. He got vengenance and charged me a $28 no show fee after telling me he cancelled the order, Quantell never cancelled and I knew he was bad news from the start. This was easily the worst rental car experience I have ever had. Disorganized, badly managed, misleading, and completely unprofessional. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else, this place is not worth the discount, I think it's going to close soon, the employees are so bad here and read the reviews they are ALL BAD! The number you call to get ahold of these thieves is 818-265-3805, the shortcut is press 4, then 3, that will get ahold of them faster. you will need to call, this place is If "Quantrell" is the one running this place, it is no surprise the location is such a mess. Stay away, at all costs!

They were honest & transparent and saved my AirPods, 5 stars!…read more---------------------------------------- So I have sold three of our family cars at Carmax. I really appreciate their smooth, no haggle sales process. You get a quote online, you bring the car in (title in hand), and in a few hours, you walk out with your check and they even take care of notifying the DMV for you. Michael was a champ for the most recent transaction. But what really matters is what they do even when it's not transaction related. Turns out, I left my AirPods at the store from a few days ago. But sure enough, they saved it in their lost and found (i mean, TBH, how often does that happen?) Jay even helped write my name on the envelope so I could seamlessly retrieve it when I returned to the store. Thank you, Carmax!

Safety Concerns, Dishonesty & Total Lack of Communication…read more Stars: (1/5) I am beyond disappointed with my experience at CarMax Burbank. I paid extra to have a Porsche 718 shipped from Colorado, expecting a "premium" vehicle that had passed their 125+ point inspection. Instead, I was sold a car with cheap after market brakes, bad rotors, and bad bearings. When I brought the car back because of a loud noise every time I braked, the service department made me feel like I was crazy. They confirmed they heard the noise, but because the brakes "hadn't failed yet," they refused to fix them. The Red Flags & Dishonesty: Hidden Repairs: Their official inspection report only listed an oil change. However, a representative eventually admitted to me that the brakes had been changed with cheap, non-Porsche certified aftermarket parts. * Mechanical Damage: My personal mechanic inspected the car and confirmed these low-quality parts were likely the reason the rotors and bearings were now making noise and failing to function properly. Using "budget" parts on a Porsche not only compromises safety but immediately devalues the vehicle. Safety Risk: My mechanic told me the car needed immediate repairs to be safe. CarMax's standard for "passing inspection" clearly does not meet the manufacturer's safety standards for a high-performance vehicle. The Total Lack of Organization: Lost Car: I dropped the car off on Thursday. By Saturday, no one knew where it was, even though it had been in their possession for two days. Incompetent Communication: After spending 1.5 hours waiting to sign the return paperwork, someone called me on Monday asking me to "pick up the car." No one talks to each other; I had to repeat the same frustrating story to five different people. Rude Service: Aside from Sophia, who was the only pleasant person we dealt with, the staff was dismissive and rude when we raised legitimate safety concerns. I wasted money on shipping and hours of my time. If you are looking for a high-end vehicle, do not trust their "inspections." They are willing to use cheap parts and hide it from the buyer. This was a complete waste of time and money.
