First time using Turo has been a horrible experience. The host, Michael, canceled his car on me a few hours before the pick up time. Turo charged me a $300+ cancellation fee(which isn't my responsibility). And now the support team won't reply to my emails. We booked the car for pick 10am by mistake. Reached out to Michael right away, Jan 26th, to switch the pick up to 4-5pm since we would be flying into LAX. He agreed to switch it. Then canceled on us Feb 1st. Didn't want to have to leave a bad review but after receiving one on Turo from MX I thought it was necessary. I rented their Alfa Romeo 4C that upon arrival had a check engine light on, the driver select modes were inoperable, and the car had some serious stability issues at freeway speeds- which they claim is because of no power steering in the Alfa, even though that would have no impact on its stability. At the end of the rental I was offered to pay part of the cost outside the Turo app (against TOS). Needless to say as a 5-star Turo rated host I was pretty disappointed in the quality of car and process, would recommend looking elsewhere when booking a car. read more

Yeah it was pretty good. So let's start with the physical car because it's the first thing you see. It's pretty nice and smooth, so it meets the expectations of the criteria given. Next is the service. It's nice, I like it. I can play my music during the ride, so it's pretty nice feeling comfortable. Overall speed and quality are satisfactory.
