The next week my home was listed and application was processed. The next week new tenants were approved and moved in! My ability to pay online was terminated over an issue with my roommate's account. I was never notified that it was terminated and when I logged in to pay rent, surprise I can no longer pay online. Instead of being helpful and fixing the issue like she had the ability to do, my property manager threatened me with late fees if I did not drop off a certified check with only several hours notice. She was also extremely unresponsive to maintenance requests. I was told that wires coming down in the yard and tearing siding off the house was "beyond a normal maintenance request" and I would need to get the problem fixed myself. If the roof fell in would that be beyond a normal request and on me to fix?! Oh and she also tried to schedule the walk through several days before my move out date and before I had the place professionally cleaned. I got her to change the date but it didn't really matter because she charged me for having the place cleaned again anyways! Oh well, at this point I was already so over Silver River and their ridiculous antics. I am so relieved to be moved out of their property and into a rental where I am actually communicated with and treated with respect. I would not recommend moving into any of their properties under any circumstances, they do not have the tenant's best interest in mind, clearly they are just trying to make a buck for the property owners.

On the day prior to the inspection he sends a text message asking for payment. I acknowledged the message, reconfirmed the price, and asked if I can pay via credit card. Soon after I received another message saying that he would not be able to perform the inspection. His message stated that I should find another business on line. He has not returned my calls or text messages. Unfortunately he cancelled after 4pm on a Friday and now I have to wait until Monday before I am able to begin looking for another inspection. As a prospective renter, my experience was very poor. The man who showed me the apartment I was…read moreinterested in was very nice, but didn't know much about the property or me (he was waiting in a different unit than the one I wanted to see because he got mixed up). That would have been fine. But what really annoyed me was the application process. The management is not familiar with more modern ways to verify employment and income (such as third party service) and insisted on unredacted pay stubs - which is much less secure. The interaction as we went back and forth was rude and reminded me of scammers trying to get one to divulge information urgently (because so many people are interested in the apartment!) at the cost of better judgement. In trying to get more information from me they cited their "policies" but being unable to articulate why their policy insists on having the information I didn't want to share (like my pre-tax deductions) This conversation was not with some mid-level employee but what seemed to be the owner. I should hope he could articulate the reasoning behind his own policy! To me, this company clearly orients themselves to customer service of property owners, not renters. Which fair enough, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. To the reader/renter: Don't let these people bully you!

Their lack of professionalism is farcical! They "felt," they "tried," ... What possessed me to write "those things" about their company ... I am "damaging [their] reputation"... I think they are doing a pretty good job of doing that all by themselves. Feelings are reserved for personal affairs. Without any help from my Yelp review they are basically admitting their own shortcomings. As for "what possessed [me] to write those things"... I wrote a review because that's what consumers do. If anything I wrote was false a valid response would be to point out the errors in the review... Because everything stated is factual they resort to their version of a scathing rebuke for me sharing only a fraction of what I actually could have. Frankly, I reserved harsh criticism because I felt it unecssary in providing a review with MINIMAL information about my experience as an informational tool for other consumers. If a business' reputation is ruined by facts, it is not the fault of the consumer. A more appropriate response would've been to take responsibility for their short-comings and strategize on how to do better. So glad my dealings with them are done... That is unless they ignore the demand letter sent to them; in which case I will see THEM and their client in court. UNPROFESSIONAL!
