Stopped in after spending way too much time at the AFW across the street. And boy are we glad we did!! Not much to look at, mostly cafeteria style tables and a lot of outdoor seating. But the food - WOW!! We were offered a small sample of brisket when we arrived at the counter. Cooked perfectly and dissolve in your mouth tender. My wife had a brisket sandwich with Aunt Susan's corn casserole. I watched in amazement as the server cut the brisket and the proceeded to "pull" the meat with 2 fingers!! It literally fell apart in his hands. I ordered the Pulled pork sandwich and he repeated the same process - fall apart tenderness... An order of Julio's Mac and Cheese for Mom rounded out our order. Creamy and delicious. My only complaint is that we were so full after eating that we didn't have any room for the deserts...The banana pudding looked like heaven on earth!! As with all BBQ joints, be aware that BBQ sauce ends up everywhere - included napkins and deep sink are a must, but only add to the fun!! read more

Food was good, service was fast. (Get it at counter) Friendly atmosphere with inside seating and large outdoor seating area. Just under 2 hundred for 8 person meal and 4 beers and 4 sodas with 20% tip, so a bit pricey but I have paid more for less with a lot worse service. Parking lot was packed but plenty of parking across the street. Great place for families as long as the little ones like BBQ. read more

If loving brisket is wrong, I don't want to be right! This is one of may favorite places to go with a group. The food is great and the ambience is fun. As soon as a waft of that smooth smoky bbq scent hits you, you just know you made the right choice. read more

Unfortunately, we didn't have the best experience here. We tried both the brisket and the pulled pork and both were disappointing. The brisket was more like a brick. Burnt to a crisp and hard as a rock. The pulled pork was fatty. The mac and cheese was OK, but not good enough to make any of us want to return. read more

They catered our company party. The food was amazing. Everyone was super happy. Would highly recommend.

Was just in town because we were visiting some national parks. This place def hit the spot, it was exactly what we needed at the end of our day. Food was great, i loved seeing all the smokers outside, great aesthetics. Loved the different choices off sauces to choose from. I would recommend stopping by if you happen to be in town. read more

Delicious!!!! This hidden gem is to not be missed. Small and quaint, but the food is a mouthful of amaziness. We tried everything from sausage links to sliders, including all the slides. The beans were my favorite. Service and cleanliness was impeccable. We will definitely be back to enjoy more! read more

The family of four order fed 3 hungry men well. Thanks to Steve for the hospitality and explaining the pit boss process.

The outside area is phenomenal and the food was delicious. Looking forward to being back!

This is cute and relaxing BBQ place with wonderful food and great atmosphere. We really enjoyed the setup and food. Our family ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs, pulled pork and Turkey sandwiches with sides of potato salad and macaroni and cheese. We definitely will go back when we are in town. Check this place out if you're hungry for some yummy BBQ with a nice and relaxing atmosphere. read more

Excellent BBQ. Tasty and served quick. Not much service to be spoken of besides taking your order, once you have your food it's all DIY as is typical of these types of places. All meat seems to be sold by the pound, exceptions come in the form of sandwiches, sliders and things of this variety. Their sides appear to be excellent- I tried the mac n cheese and potato salad. Both were delicious. Interestingly their variety of bbq sauce at the tables is a bit underwhelming, hosting only 3 choices. They all taste great but I'm used to more choices. I didn't have a huge appetite like I normally do when I grab bbq so I opted for the pulled pork sandwich. Popped a few pickles and some hot & sweet sauce on that bad boy and *mwah*, chef's kiss. The place is very homey, hosting the typical wooden style interior with picnic bench type seating. Definitely worth your time if you have a bbq craving. read more

The best bbq in Arizona in my opinion! The meat is so good. Seriously it's so tender and you don't even need a knife, that's how tender it is. My favorite meat to get is the brisket, but I also really like the sausage. The potato salad is some of the best I've had, with big chunks of potatoes in it. The bbq sauces are amazing! Try them all, but the original sweet sauce is my favorite. It's honesty such a fun place to dine in, especially when the weather is nice and you can eat outside! There are cute tables and lights and you can actually see the smokers where all the meat is cooked! It's great for large groups, kids included! read more

This place deserves the high rating! You have to get the corn bread casserole. The outdoor dining is dreamy. We sat by the smokers and watched them work on the meat. That was fun. read more

Easily the best BBQ in the East valley. Every piece of meat is just perfectly cooked, full of juice and flavor. The spot itself is pretty nice, lots of outdoor seating which is fantastic in these COVID times. While it is delicious, be ready to pay for the goodness. This plate I ordered: 2 slices of lean brisket, 1/2 lb turkey, and 2 sausage links (plus a small side of beans not pictured) clocked in at $36. But it was definitely worth it and went to support a small business that I hope sticks around far into the future read more

Oh. My. Gosh!!! I don't even like BBQ but I was in heaven eating the brisket salad here! It was so, so good!!! It was so tender and it literally melted in my mouth. Ok so let's start with the building. Killer little setup very accommodating towards small or large groups. Very clean grounds and inside is also clean as well. I was a first timer so I felt a little rushed with the long line. The samples were delicious and I was quickly moved through the line. Got a drink paid and sat down. I got the Brisket, Turkey, coleslaw and a drink. The coleslaw was excellent 4.5/5 (I feel the individual portion was pretty small but the slaw was very good! Next up the brisket, wow the brisket was perfect. Top 3 for sure in all of Az. 4.8/5 lastly I love Turkey. Their Turkey was pretty darn good but still nowhere close to Lil Miss BBQ. If they take some notes on how Lil miss does their Turkey these places are the 2 best BBQ places in all of Az. Turkey 4/5 Overall I really liked it and will be back! I drove an hour to taste this BBQ here and glad I did! Last but not least I think the counter staff cutting and selling the meats could be a LITTLE friendlier as well as helpful just because when I was there most of the customer's like myself were there for thr 1st time. Just my .02 Should be a 4.75-4.85 but I will still go 5 stars because it's light years ahead of 97% of the rest of the Az BBQ joints! read more

I've been to many BBQ places all over the country in the last year and order almost exactly the same at every restaurant. Caldwell County BBQ is my second favorite! Their brisket is exceptional. Very tender and tons of flavor. No need for bbq sauce. The pulled pork is delicious and tender as well. The cole slaw has a hint of citrus and the beans a little kick. I do have to say that the potato salad was a bit disappointing. It was bland, which is a bit of a shame. With that said, I can't wait to go back and try their ribs and get another pound of brisket. read more

Our tastebuds were satisfied today as we devoured some delicious BBQ. We pulled up to a full parking lot and many people had the same idea as us today, to eat the best BBQ in the valley! For how busy it was, the line to order moved quickly and we were enjoying our food in no time. We ordered the Dixie V, named after a great lady (my Grandma!) with a side of Aunt Susan's corn casserole. The brisket was tender, juicy with just the right amount of char and heat from the rub. The house sauce was sweet and smooth. The corn casserole was sweet and hearty with just the right amount of green chili kick. I've never had anything like it. If cornbread and a cheese soufflé had a baby... The East Side Pig was the family favorite! The pork was juicy and melt in your mouth and the mustard based bbq sauce held the perfect punch of acidity to compliment the buttery meat. The salad with smoked turkey was so, so good. Fresh and simple ingredients. Greens, tomatoes and cucumbers with the best turkey I have ever had. In the words of the owner Clay himself, "the turkey has cooked so long it tastes life beef". The BBQ ranch was delicious. The turkey and the salad was fantastic! The pecan pie was out of this world. Deep and sweet and full of everything you want a pie to be. The restaurant was clean and comfortable and very inviting. Customer service is fantastic. read more

Texas style BBQ that can compete with the best joints in Texas. Had Brisket and turkey. The meats don't need any sauce, but the sauces available are excellent. I'll start with the good. The setting is really cool and makes you think of a Texas BBQ. The staff were friendly and efficient. We really wanted to like this place because we love Texas BBQ and we had drove by on a Friday night and it was lined up. We came back on a Monday and it was quick service. We ordered 3/4 a pound of brisket, 1/2 a rack of pork ribs, potato salad and the corn casserole. The brisket was dry, no flavour and quite greasy. I never use bbq sauce and I had to for this. It was extremely disappointing. The pork ribs did have more flavour. My husband thought the corn casserole was tasty but a bit mushy. It was ok for me but I wouldn't have it again. I didn't mind the potato salad and unfortunately it was my favourite part of the meal. I feel bad giving a bad review but it simply missed the mark. read more
