This place is so good! I usually go to Little Miss BBQ, but the sides here are so much better. The banana pudding is also fantastic! I've eaten here several times and the brisket and pork ribs are great. The fatty brisket is very rich so beware of how much you order. Highly recommend the corn and Mac and cheese as sides. Great spot with lines shorter than Little Miss and BBQ equally as good. read more

Let me tell you The hype is DEFINITELY real!!! Debating based on previous review if we should drive an hour from surprise for Fathers Day and we decided to give it a shot the line wasn't too bad because they have a shaded area with water mist that helped a lot! Once we got in front of the line it was no wait time immediately got our food in a huge tray. We ordered family meal for 8 and it was only 3 of us lol the pulled pork was good but we're not really big fans of pork so next time I think we can order by the pound the meats of our likings. The sliced prime brisket was amazing so tender and juicy! The ribs were also really good and the sausage to die for we loved the corn casserole and Mac and cheese. By far the best bbq spot in phoenix that we have tried everyone was super friendly and attentive except one female lady at the cash register just seemed attitudeish frustrated when I went back and asked for plastic bags to go,lids for my sides, and a container for bbq sauce but she doesn't define the great experience we had also after the fact we had two different gentle men come to our table and asked if everything was great and if we needed anything super nice! Next time I just won't go bother the register lady lol perfect Fathers Day and also Fair pricing. read more

Usually have a pleasant experience here but our most recent Christmas Eve left me irked and unimpressed. We didn't feel like cooking the day before the festivities so decided on a safe and delicious choice of Caldwell. However, the rack of ribs that was given to us should not have been served or left the facilities. I get it sometimes they come out dryer than usual but the workers should've seen and avoided those ones. It was not only dry but extremely hard like jerky consistency - not only the end piece either, but the entire order we received. Thankfully we togo'd other items we well bc it was not edible. So disappointed on such a good occasion. The location is definitely very convenient right off Power and the lower 202 next to America's furniture warehouse. Plenty of outdoor seatings - super cute for night time eats too bc of all the string lights. They also have misters for hotter days. A couple of tables inside too. Looking forward to a better visit next time read more

Legit, this place deserves all the 5-star reviews it gets. My family usually goes to places like Joe's or Waldo's or Rudy's for BBQ, and this place deserves to be at the top of the list with these places. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and delicious. The pulled pork was juicy and delicious. Green chili Mac and cheese was creamy and a bit of a kick. And the service is not to be ignored. We were checked on by several different employees throughout the course of eating. Some indoor seating. Lots of outdoor seating on their quaint patio. Please be warned - if you come on a Friday night be prepared for a long line. This place is very popular! PS - It was so good I forgot to take pictures of my food before I scarfed it down! read more

What a great place! First and most important their customer service is amazing. Always very helpful and you can tell everyone that works lives and really cares about working there. My bf was told about this place today and insisted we go there for dinner. We parked around the back and were headed for the doors and a young man at the smoker greeted us and asked if it was our first visit.. he showed us the wood pile and told us about the meats in the smokers.. we knew we were in for a treat. He recommended that we share the El General Patton sandwich After reviewing the menu we chose the El General Patton sandwich but did not share .. smoked tender sliced brisket, pulled pork and sausage served open face .. served with lemon poppyseed coleslaw and a side.. I went with the corn casserole .. yum it's got corn and green chilis .. the bf went with the potato salad .. and we got a tray of pickled jalapeño rings, onion and pickles. Lots of food, I couldn't finish this sandwich Meat by the pound, sandwiches, lots of sides (mac & cheese, beans, green beans, etc) and desserts. Sauce your meat at your table with mustard sauce, hot& sweet and house bbq sauce This place, the food and the service was top notch .. the smoke and the care in preparing and serving this food is evident .. we will definitely be back and would recommend it highly read more

I live in the south, I have had bbq in all the southern states and cities (including Texas and Memphis) and let me tell you, this is THE BEST well-rounded bbq I have ever had. Amazing meats and honestly just as amazing sides!! We had to try it all when we visited over Christmas break. I loved the Turkey and Brisket best from the meats and then the coleslaw and corn casserole, made me want to reach across the table and smack my mom. AMAAAAAZING. They have a large section to dine outside and also beers and soft drinks. I can't wait to come back to this spot- it's a must. read more

Caldwell County was much better than I expected. I think this is definitely my favorite in all of the valley. I will definitely be back! The brisket is the perfect amount of tender, and has a wonderful smoked flavor. The sides were delicious as well. The price is definitely a little higher than some of the other bbq places in the valley, but I think it's worth it. The owner was very friendly and explained how they cook the meat. They also do a $15 special on your birthday! read more

Really great barbecue! We were in the area and my husband saw all the wood, so he figured it had to be good. We came in and they gave us a taste of the brisket which was delicious. We told them it was our first time , so they suggested the family plate for four. We got pulled pork, brisket, and spare ribs. We got to pick two sides. We choose potato salad and beans. There were only three of us, but this could have easily fed a family of four or five. We took some home and they even gave us sauces to take home with us. Everything was flavorful and delicious! But they did have sauces to add to the meat! All of which were really good! The ambience was very nice. Very clean with a country vibe. I'm sure the manager or owner came around and wiped down tables and checked in with us to see how we were enjoying our food! That says more to me than anything when the manager or owner interacts with the customers. If you like barbecue, this is the place for you! read more

First time tried it, it actually surprised me how good they're. I'd thought it would be just like Joe's grill which we both feel it's just ok. Would definitely come back and recommend it to family and friends. BTW the service is pretty good besides the cashier ( an elder lady) was little weird, so one star off read more

Good place for a quick barbecue meal. Nearby, friendly service. Walk up and order your food then sit down and enjoy. No waiters

Wow...what a pleasant surprise! Have had Caldwell County BBQ on my list for many months and finally had the opportunity. Scoped out the menu in advance and decided to go for the El General Patton. Sandwich had chopped brisket, pulled pork and sausage in a sauce with cole slaw and choice of 1 side. Tried the corn casserole which was a great choice. Sandwich had 1/3 pound of yummy savory smoked meat. All for only $12. Found a small table on the patio and had a great meal. Could not finish it and was happy I did not go for the 1 pound platter. Heard Jimmy the pit master talking to all the customers. He made everyone feel welcome. Finished what I could, got up and walked slowly in a food coma. Saw a 1,000 gallon converted propane tank smoker and had to take a second look. They have three 1,000 gallon smokers. Jimmy saw me taking a picture and gave me the grand tour. He opened up the smokers and was proud to tell me the brisket is smoked at a low temperature for 12 hours. The bark on the brisket was beautiful. We then looked at the smoked pork butts also with a perfect bark. He then showed me the kitchen area where they rubbed the meats and let them marinate for several hours at a low temperature. The tour of the pit area and kitchen was a very special treat. Delightful dinner and conversation with a True Pit Master Pro. read more

The bbq is great. Smokey flavor and the brisket is the best. We ordered the 4 family pack

Cute hidden farmhouse off of Power, next to American Furniture. I had no idea they had about this bbq restaurant until my bf found it. The parking lot is a bit small. If it's busy, you may have a hard time finding a spot. I'm sure you can park in the furniture store's lot and walk across. The outside of the restaurant have their bbq grills set up along with tables. It's perfect weather to sit outside during the fall however they're may be a few flys that are bothersome. They have a small, simple menu which is filled with a lot of flavor. I had the ribs and dipped it with the sweet and spicy hot sauce. Perfect combo. My bf got the sandwich. We both shared the Mac and cheese and corn casserole. We very much enjoyed both. My only negative opinion is that the ribs had a little too much fat, I had to shed some off of the meat. Other than that, pretty good place to eat with family. read more

We were brought here by my husband's cousin (as we are visiting the area for a few days). We got the family meal and there's 7 of us. There's so much food we had to have to-go boxes for the extras. Great bbq in the Gilbert area! The outdoor dining area is such a nice vibe and the smokers are right there. The meat is super fresh and tender even the ribs which I feel like most bbq places have a hard time getting fall off the bone ribs. I definitely recommend trying the cornbread casserole! You really can't go wrong with any of the meat choices. The line can get long so we usually order ahead but it's a fun atmosphere to dine at especially when it gets cooler out. read more

The smell around the location is great. The setting and the ambience is very inviting. The food was very good, especially the brisket. The ribs were not as tenders I prefer. Food: I'd give it about 3.5 stars. The meat was juicy and tasted good but we ended up needing to put store bought bbq sauce on it because they sent virtually none. Mac and cheese was ...meh... okay. Value recd for money paid: 1 star. Definitely not one to raise an eyebrow over cost. Especially with delivery. However, I was utterly BLOWN away that this was $63... $80 after tax, tip, delivery. $80 - hard to explain, see pictures. Even more frustrating, I called ahead prior to to ordering, asked if BBQ sauce would be included or would I need to order sauce separately. I was told that "the appropriate amount of sauce comes with the meat." Attaching pictures. This is one lb of pulled pork and one lb of brisket. 3 Tbsp of sauce. Truly. I measured it. There is 1 TBSP of sauce in each of the 3 tiny cups. What you see pictured is everything that arrived for $80. read more
