    Masala Dosa and pakora
    Disha F.

Ordered the masala dosa it has potatoes inside and comes with a side of this green coconut sauce and vegetable soup kind of side. Everything was packed very neat and well however it just didn't hit the spot. It had a bitter aftertaste. I also ordered the pakoras which had no salt. I love dosa and was excited to try but didn't meet my buds. Sorry.

The food here is amazing!! My daughter and I found Calcutta Wrap and Roll randomly while looking for lunch off the saw mill. We were hungry and tired and this place was just what we needed. We ordered the Paneer Tikka Roll and fell in love with it! We left the restaurant and thought about it for an entire year constantly craving it. But, we couldn't remember the name and live an hour away. Today we found ourselves in the area and knew we had to find this place. After some deep research we finally made it! The kitchen however was closed for their lunch break, but when we expressed our love for the place they generously served us. The food was just as delicious as we remembered. Best place ever.

Haven't been here in years, since the original owner was there. I was worried that the food quality might go down when the kids took over, which is typically the case at family owned restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. The food took about 15 minutes to cook. The food was real good and fresh nothing tasted old or like it had been sitting around. I had the Dr. B's Chicken Chatpata (I asked for the spicy one, it's spicy but not the spiciest I've ever had), comes with basmati rice, garlic naan and poori. Delicious! And I was given a mango smoothie too. Really good and I don't usually like mango. Dr. B's Chicken Chatpata $14.99 Garlic Naan $4.99 Poori (2) $5.50 Subtotal $25.48 Sales Tax 8.375% $2.13 Total $ 27 . 61 Parking can be a little tricky at busy times and the lot layout is weird. The is meter parking around though too. There is a bench seat outside on a nice day where you can sit and eat.

We arrived at the restaurant a little before 3PM and were told that the Lunch Special had ended. However, at the time we went, the online menu stated that the Lunch Special went on until 3PM. I pointed that out and thankfully, a different waiter allowed us to order from the Lunch Special menu. The decor and set up of the place was lovely with fancy touches. I ordered a Mango Lassi, as well as a Lunch Special Platter. The Mango Lassi was sweet and refreshing, though not thick enough for me. For my meal, I went with the Goan Shrimp Curry with Garlic Naan (for an additional charge). This was served with onion fritters, sag paneer, basmati rice, cucumber raita, pappadum, as well as rice pudding. The Goan Shrimp Curry only had 3 shrimps in it, but they were large in size and quite juicy. The Curry sauce was wonderfully comforting, savory, and well seasoned. Onion Fritters were perfectly crispy and full of bold flavor. The rice was cooked well and Garlic Naan was delightfully buttery with strong garlic taste. Rice pudding was nicely fragrant and sweet. Service was good. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating. Everything came out in a timely manner. Prices were reasonable. I might return if I'm in the area, but would not go out of my way to do so.

The restaurant itself is very nice. I will say, they didn't have the lights dim at all, so it was quite bright in there, which kind of took away from the date night ambience of it. That being said, they clearly do a lot of take out orders and that might be part of why they have the lights up brighter. The staff was friendly enough. This is definitely a place where they are not trying to get done and out the door quickly. If you are on a time crunch, either choose somewhere else or let them know in advance. They encourage ordering the courses one at a time (ie they'll come back for your order for mains) and they do not hover at all. There is overall a lack of attentiveness, but it really has more to do with them leaving you to enjoy your meal than not wanting to help. We got the avocado paapdi chat. I have never had anything like this at an Indian restaurant. It was incredibly refreshing, which was surprising because Indian food tends to be heavier and more hearty. Absolutely recommend. We also go the tikki trio, the paneer Kati rolls (my favorite appetizer we got), and the lamb samosas. The lamb samosas were the only thing that didn't absolutely blow us away. They were perfectly nice, but the other dishes were awesome. We then got the Dal Tadka and the chicken saagwala and some garlic naan. The dal was great. Had almost of a stew/soup consistency, but I could have eaten it for days (and then I used the leftovers for a kind of indian/lentil shakshuka, so I was super happy to have leftovers). The chicken was perfectly cooked. Super tender and juicy and the saag was so smooth and flavorful. Overall, would absolutely come back. The prices are also incredibly reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.

There is a moderately sized municipal parking lot across the street which you can pay for with the passport parking mobile app. The venue is small with a few tables and appears to be more of a take out rather than dine in spot. The server was very friendly and cleaned off the table frequently of empty dishes. The venue was clean and had Bollywood tunes playing in the background creating a nice and cozy atmosphere. We tried various small plates which included the dhokla, samosa chaat, & chicken samosas. The apps were small in portion but were well seasoned and absolutely delicious! The chicken samosas were served with ketchup and had a slight kick to them. For main courses we tried a plain dosa with sambar and coconut chutney, the butter chicken bowl & a paneer khati roll. The dosa was crisp and beautifully paper thin. The butter chicken was served over white rice & was very tasty. We only wished it had more gravy on it. The khati roll was packed full of paneer and not overly spicy. We loved the dhokla and samosa chaat so much we ordered a second set to take home. The venue offers traditional drinks like masala chai and mango lassi in addition to traditional sweets. The menu is small but fun and great for a quick bite to eat. Definitely looking forward to returning!

We ordered online for pickup and when we got here we noticed a function hall and some kind of event. The guests were wearing traditional Indian outfits and all of them look good. The bunch of us that choose the same day will head over to Royal Palace to enjoy the AYCE buffet. In years past, the food has been better with more variety that included lamb & goat dishes and more vegetables served on a couple of buffet islands. This time, food is served in several covered chafing dishes on long tables and choices were more limited and the only protein is chicken in 4 dishes. 2 dishes lean more toward Chinese cuisine. The butter chicken is usually pretty good, especially over basmati rice. Run back to the buffet tables if you see the tandoori chicken being brought out from the kitchen. It's worth it. The best is when they bring the fresh onion and garlic naan basket to your table straight out of the tandoor oven. That hot flat bread is incredible. A mango lassi and a double helping of rice pudding for dessert and I'm happy.

My husband and I came to dinner recently. It is housed in a large space (that used to be some kind of burger joint), with a semi-open kitchen, a full bar and lots of tables. For my dairy-intolerant vegetarian diet, the waitress patiently explained the ingredients of all the options, and we chose Mushroom Hara pyaaz and Martban ke Choley, a chickpea stew that came in a mysterious clay pot :-). The cauliflower was crispy batter fried, dowsed in a tangy sweet and sour and spicy sauce, truly tasty! The mushroom hara pyaaz was the champion of the meal - all familiar flavors yet unique and memorable - comfort and satisfaction rolled in one. The chickpeas were less well-cooked, a bit more al dente, than the usual Indian fare that we have been exposed to, but still very nice. The waiting staff were very friendly and attentive, and the bill was quite reasonable. We'll definitely come back.
