I don't know what happened with this place because I've order so many times and it's been great, but the latest order was beyond disappointing. Note, I haven't ordered for a few months so I don't know if owners changed or what. I ordered the goat curry, chicken biryani, and vegetable korma... and what a disaster. Now, I ordered through uber which showed a BOGO so why not... But what I got was sacrilege - and I say that as a South Asian. Like, I would be embarrassed to serve this to my family. My mom would be ashamed of me if I cooked like this. The goat curry used to be plentiful and thick now it's obvious they split 1 order into two containers to make it seem like BOGO and it's incredibly watery and thin. The goat isn't even cooked through and the curry flavors didn't penetrate - lazy cooking. The biryani - omg what? It's not biryani. I have no idea what it is, it's some chicken in some curry sauce mixed with some rice and they're busy trying to rip you off with pretend "BOGO" so they split it in two and dump white rice on top. Why even bother offering BOGO?! I will never order from here again. This isn't Indian food and it's definitely not quality. This is a joke. Please save your money. read more

This is the best Indian food in the area. Only a few tables to dine in, and it is not fancy, but they will treat you very nicely and then serve delicious dishes. The Korma is superior to any others nearby and it's reasonably priced. read more

We're a South Asian family and this is our go-to place for Indian food. The flavors are authentic, the dishes are delicious, and when they say it's spicy, it's actually spicy. My only minor gripe is that it's become more expensive than it once was, but that's true about pretty much all restaurants. We normally get one or two biriyanis (chicken, goat, or mutton), the chicken wrap (our kids' favorite), the goan fish curry ( my fav), some black lentils (phenomenal), the goat curry, and lamb vindaloo. So this is my second time having Indian food - although I'm not a fan I figured I would give it another shot with something simple. I ordered tandori wings, garlic naan and white rice. Simple right? I ordered online and went to pick up - had about a five minute wait when I arrived so that wasn't too bad. Raced home to eat my food - my bland food, my VERY bland food. The wings had absolutely no taste or flavor and the naan didn't have a stitch of garlic on it (in my opinion). Very disappointing. Trying to decide should I attempt try a different restaurant and see how I would like it but definitely won't be going back here. read more

Ordered the masala dosa it has potatoes inside and comes with a side of this green coconut sauce and vegetable soup kind of side. Enjoyed the food & the service. There is mostly a rush for delivery orders & pick-ups. Appreciate them letting us sit & eat there. We always have the kati rolls, but this time we tried their masala dosa ... tasty sambhar. Thanks for your welcoming service & kindness. The food here is amazing!! My daughter and I found Calcutta Wrap and Roll randomly while looking for lunch off the saw mill. We were hungry and tired and this place was just what we needed. We ordered the Paneer Tikka Roll and fell in love with it! We left the restaurant and thought about it for an entire year constantly craving it. But, we couldn't remember the name and live an hour away. Today we found ourselves in the area and knew we had to find this place. After some deep research we finally made it! The kitchen however was closed for their lunch break, but when we expressed our love for the place they generously served us. The food was just as delicious as we remembered. This is a takeout place. It does has a few tables but 99% of their business is take out. With a name like that it's hard to determine what type of food it is but it's classic Indian. I personally don't like the wraps but they are unique and different and other family members love them. It's decent Indian. The fan favorite chicken tiki is really good and the Chaat is excellent. My personal favorite Indian dish Dal Makhani is just ok. All the breads are excellent but I love carbs so perhaps don't take my word on that critique. Indian food is never a cheap option but there prices are more then fair in comparison to other Indian spots in the area. I will definitely need to try this place a bunch more times and do a follow up review where I might possibly rate them higher. They have a lot of interesting items on the menu that I don't often see at other Indian restaurants. Non-food related. It's in a weird little cul-de-sac with a bunch of other stores and at certain times parking can be difficult. So if you are doing pick up bring someone with you so they can jump out while you turn around. Then if you get confused pulling out don't feel bad everyone gets confused first time around. read more

We use to love this place. Three years ago this was a 4-5 star place. Now, it's not worth going to anymore. The flavors are all off. It's way too much cinnamon in everything and super oily. Haven't been here in years, since the original owner was there. I was worried that the food quality might go down when the kids took over, which is typically the case at family owned restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. The food took about 15 minutes to cook. The food was real good and fresh nothing tasted old or like it had been sitting around. I had the Dr. B's Chicken Chatpata (I asked for the spicy one, it's spicy but not the spiciest I've ever had), comes with basmati rice, garlic naan and poori. Delicious! And I was given a mango smoothie too. Really good and I don't usually like mango. What a hidden gem! Went here today on the recommendation from a few people and it was delicious! My husband and I had two of their rolls. Wrapped in delicious paratha with succulent chicken and veggies. The gentleman( his name is Roq) at the counter was so personable, we spoke to him for a long time about many things. I just turned to my family and said "this is the best Indian food that I've ever had!" I randomly chose Calcutta on Uber Eats and had a great lunch special that came with 2 entrees and choice of naan or white rice. The portion size was perfect and flavor literally just exploded with every bite!! I've ordered food from here 2-3 times for take-out and have been here once to stay (incredible service). Their Chicken Tikka Masala is insanely good, probably one of the best if not the best one I've ever had in New York. Trust me, you're going to want more than just rice with it -- order the garlic naan and dip to your heart's content. I feel like I gain ten pounds every time I eat from Calcutta Wrap & Roll but its' worth it. Recently I had the Malai Kofta, which is a vegetarian dish. Had no idea vegetables could taste so good. The sauce has a hint of sweetness to it so that may turn some people off, but it's a chef's favorite for a reason so if you're into trying something different, don't be afraid to give Malai Kofta a shot. I've also had their biryani to go. It's not bad, but doesn't hold a candle to their chicken tikka masala and malai kofta. Just a word of advice -- the spices they use are incredibly fragrant. I had my jacket in the restaurant for no more than 25 minutes while I was eating and by the time I stepped out, my jacket carried the scent for the rest of the day. read more

I did take out, the pickup was quick. Good service. Ambiance is a take out place. Chicken tikka masala was strongly tomato based, almost no Indian flavors. Basically cream of tomato basil soup over chicken tikka pieces. The vegetable samosa was nearly flavorless as well, mostly potato. It did have a crispy outside which was nice. The portions were good sizes. Overall, I would probably try some of the other Indian restaurants first before coming back here. read more

One of my favorite take-out Indian Food places in the area. Their lunch and Dinner specials are quite affordable and you get a pretty good portion of food. I usually go for butter chicken or paneer tikki masala with garlic naan. The mango lassi is also above average. The palaak paneer is also delish. If you ask for spicy they make it pretty tasty spicy. Nice mix of chickpeas mixed with yogurt and crispy wafers. I thought they went a little overboard with the cilantro. Try adding on the green and apple butter chutneys...makes the dish really good. Calcutta Vegetarian Roll - basically a roti rolled up with paneer inside. I asked for mine to be medium spicy and bit into a green pepper that was hidden between the paneer. OUCH! This kind of ruined it for me because my throat was on fire and nose wouldn't stop running. I guess I should say mild next time. Paneer was seasoned well, but again, overboard with the cilantro. Butter Paneer - perfectly fine tomato sauce with chunks of paneer. This isn't the best I've had, but definitely not the worst either. This came with rice and we ordered naan on the side. I've been off the Indian food bandwagon for a while now. Most of the time, I find it way too salty for my palate. Before a trip to the apple orchard, we stopped at Calcutta Wrap & Roll for a quick bite. Adam had some sort of chicken dish, and I had the palak paneer, and we split a dosa. The palak paneer was solid and well-seasoned, but I really should have just ordered the dosa. It was so delicious and satisfying, and reminded me of the dosas from Hampton Chutney (quite the compliment, if you ask me). Ordered chicken tandoori. I got about a quarter chicken. It was dried out, cut up strangely, with a salty strange tasting thick layer of seasoning on it. Chicken tandoori should be reddish, this was dark brown. It came with raw onion on the side. My husband got lamb vindaloo which was pieces of lamb in tomato soup and cayenne pepper- yum. Horrible food, inedible and super expensive! The dal was a gloppy paste of thawed out stuff from the bowels of the freezer and the nan a wet spongy mess. Each entree needs its own rice, there wasn't enough rice for us both. Also wish the green sauce (for samosas) containers were more full. Amazing again and again. So delicious and fresh. A lot of care and intention goes into making this food. I usually get the chicken tikka masala lunch thali. With chole (the chick peas )or rajma? The kidney bean dish? I hope I'm saying it right. Anyway it's delicious and I get garlic nan. It costs a little more but it is wonderful and garlic healthy for you. This used to be a gem of a place at one time. Their rolls were to die for. We ordered a paneer roll and vegetable roll. They were both dry and horrible to taste with little or chutney inside. We eat here around once a week and food is consistently good. More of a takeout place although there are around two tables to sit at. I've tried most of the Indian places in the area and this is the best (and most reasonably priced comparatively). Favorites include chicken tikka masala, Kati rolls (which have a lot of masala), and the hariyali kebab. Their raita is also really good. The only thing I don't love is the dosa-- not super thin and crispy. Otherwise, this place is great. read more
