First take out visit, meter parking in front. I ordered a malai kofta with a garlic naan, $14 plus change. The order too about 15 minutes to prepare. The boys at the counter we're sweet and friendly. This is a family owned Bangladeshi restaurant, which makes Indian style food. My order came with the malai kofta in a medium sized plastic container, my ban wrapped in aluminum, white rice in a small Chinese paper container and 3 small sauces. The naan was delicious, and the condiments are also very tasty, they would've gone perfectly with a aloo samosa (potato filled pastry), but I'll let that next time. My only gripe is that malai koftas are one of my favorite dishes, and this one has 2 small pieces which fell apart in the container. They were too mushy, and the curry was creamy and sweet, not what I had in mind. This is a small place, looks like they do mostly take out despite having a few tables, it's not very welcoming decor, it's dark and old looking. I will be back for that delicious naan and some samosas and chutney though! Happy Yelping!

Food was horrible. They use cheap chicken they don't cook very well. The chicken is hard and has a lot off fat.

Found myself really hungry in the middle of the Bronx today. I like to support small businesses in…read moreareas like this, and found this restaurant listed on Yelp. I'm not familiar with Pakistani food, which is a great reason for me to check it out... and I figured it's similar to Indian, which I love. The name of the place sounds super cool and kind of silly, TBH, so I think that hooked me. There's not too much parking available on the streets near the restaurant, but I found some right down on Bronxwood Ave about a 2 minute walk. Upon arrival, I was a little surprised to find it kind of beat-up looking, a damaged table (with the veneer peeling away from the top)... not looking quite as great as it did in the photos I saw on Yelp. But the food looked good. I ordered beef (in a thick gravy) over seasoned white rice. Even though it's ready to eat, it's not warmed up, so I had to wait a few minutes for them to plate and microwave it. They added a generous amount of the sauce/gravy to the top, but the gravy kind of disappears into the rice. The flavor wasn't really to my liking... I couldn't identify what exactly was the dominant spice or spices, but they're not a favorite of mine. Regardless, I ate all of the meat... but as you can see from the photos, you should have plenty of RICE left when you're done! I brought some home. Service was casual and consisted of the guys who work behind the counter. It's not real table service. Definitely do not go here on a date unless you know the person is casual and adventurous and not at all scared of a "hole in the wall." The staff there are nice... asked me how I liked the food when I was finished and all. It cost $11 which is totally fair.

I ordered at the counter and after 30 mins I checked and seems like my order had not been passed on, so I ordered again and this time food only took 10 mins to arrive. Naan was great. Chicken tikka masala was a bit oiler than I'm used to. They didn't have any plain rice available as a side order for the curry, so they suggested the Friday special rice which was chicken and chickpeas and ginger etc, unfortunately this had definitely been sitting a while and rice was pretty mushy. The staff were pretty friendly, and I liked how the dining area was decorated. $22 for the two dishes and naan (plenty of leftovers that i took home although not sure how well the rice will be tomorrow)

They have a large selection but I came for the chicken Biryani. I hope they give me Maan. Ambiance is really cool, decorated with Pakistani colors, fabrics banners. The manager came out to offer me a different rice that that cook no onto the menu. I guess she saw a weirdo not the typical . Ps: I dont eat rice pudding but theirs is a must try. Small mom and pops shop that needs your support. Go ahead and stop by. Maybe we can do an UYE there..

What a wonderful spot for you to explore…read more We wanted to take our friend out to dinner for his birthday he likes a low key style. We called a head since it was 6 of us to see if we could do a walk in or if we needed a reservation , and both options are available which is a plus. Dress attire is your choice we dressed regular nothing fancy just day to day hang out style. We were greeted kindly by the staff sat down handed a set of dominoes to play with while we waited for our food and drank some water. The place is decorated nicely and you can see the vision in mind definitely. We placed our orders and I'm not gonna lie I came in thinking the food was gonna be eh but I was blown away by the flavors. For drinks we ordered a spicy sunset, pretty young thing and cokes. The spicy sunset is a nice strong drink and is rimmed nicely with just the right amount is tajin as you drink it; it has a nice smoky after taste to it definitely was delicious. The pretty young thing was a nice citrusy drink with a little salty aftertaste, which balanced out the flavor nicely. The cokes were not water down they were good as well. For food we ordered the Cuban sandwich with parmesan fries, butter chicken wings, butter chicken macaroni and cheese, steak nachos grande, butter chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and mom's butter chicken platter. This was a wonderful Spanish and Indian style combination of flavors. Definitely my first time having this type of food and wow what a mind blowing experience. Not one person in the table complained or had anything negative to say about their food. We all tried each other's food and each bite we exchanged to try was delicious and better than the last . The Cuban was delicious but the parmesan fries stole the show from that meal it was paired so lovely who would've thought those flavors would've mixed nicely. The buttery chicken wings oh my God dripping with goodness each bite was legit finger licking good lol. The butter chicken macaroni very very delicious. Had a nice cheese pull and a good balance could not stop eating it. The steak nachos were delicious I wish It had a little more meat, but it was not bad. The butter chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries also delicious and the fries were cooked so nicely that it was crispy and soft at the same time per bite. The mom's butter chicken platter was delicious they gave the right amount of sauce, the pita bread was delicious and soft, the salad that it was paired with was good too the rice was decently portioned. Everything was definitely tasty. Not one complaint of any of the meals. We did not wait long for the food. Bathrooms were nice and clean. I want to come back to try more things in the menu that's how good the food was and our group agreed to also come back with us. This spot is definitely a place to try. They have a beautiful quote right near the bar that really spoke to us, especially during these times it said "you are exactly where you need to be." It makes you stop for a second and really take it in and just live in the moment ... especially living in New York, where you have to be always go go go fast fast fast. This was really beautifully written thank you to the staff who made our night and our friend's birthday special we'll see you soon.

The space is small and narrow. They had a few bakery items (plait bread/tennis rolls...about $3 each) along the left side, bagged and ready for purchased. On the right are hot foods (curry, stews...) you can buy. I ended up ordering a chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein (about $12 each) and purchased a few pre-packaged bakery items. The food was ready quickly in about 10 minutes. They do NOT serve pork there. The food and bakery items were good...3.5/5. Service was efficient but very straight-to-the-point. I grew up in Queens and am used to the Kaieteur and Bamboo Garden restaurants there. I believe the food at those places are a bit better than this location. The Queens locations are also bigger and have seating available. The bakery items here also aren't as good as the Queens stores...Little Guyana Bake Shop and Sybils. That being said...I've tried a few similar places in the Bronx and this was the best. Recommended if you can't make it out to Queens.
