This restaurant is deceptively decent. Pros: 1. Food has good flavor. Cons: 1. Dine-in feels unimpressive, drab and dreary. The seating is poor and feels uninviting in atmosphere. 2. Customer service is curt and slightly aggressive. They can also be impatient too. I say give it a try but do it through a third party app to avoid some unpleasant attitudes. Agra Grill is easily the best Indian restaurant that I have ever ordered from! From the outside, this restaurant looks like a hole-in-the-wall, but it truly is a gem. I always order the food to go, but I keep coming back here because it is honestly that good. The food here is honestly amazing and super affordable. For the flavors that you get here, you would think that the prices would be much higher. This place does not get enough praise and recognition. It should really be on a list of the top Indian places to try in NYC and it is well worth the trip into The Bronx just to eat food from here. I typically order the chicken tikka masala, samosas, and mango lassi. The samosas are full of flavor. I sometimes order some garlic naan or cheese poori to soak up some of the sauce from the chicken tikka masala and it is perfect. There is so much flavor in every bite. The serving size of the chicken tikka masala is generous. It is enough to feed two people, but since it tastes so good, I typically finish the whole serving in one sitting. Lol. The mango lassi here is rich and thick. It is a like a drinkable mango yogurt drink. This place really deserves so much more recognition. It is my favorite place to get Indian food from and I have had Indian food at various restaurants around the United States. read more

First take out visit, meter parking in front. I ordered a malai kofta with a garlic naan, $14 plus change. The order too about 15 minutes to prepare. The boys at the counter we're sweet and friendly. This is a family owned Bangladeshi restaurant, which makes Indian style food. My order came with the malai kofta in a medium sized plastic container, my ban wrapped in aluminum, white rice in a small Chinese paper container and 3 small sauces. The naan was delicious, and the condiments are also very tasty, they would've gone perfectly with a aloo samosa (potato filled pastry), but I'll let that next time. My only gripe is that malai koftas are one of my favorite dishes, and this one has 2 small pieces which fell apart in the container. They were too mushy, and the curry was creamy and sweet, not what I had in mind. This is a small place, looks like they do mostly take out despite having a few tables, it's not very welcoming decor, it's dark and old looking. My favorite go to for Indian food delivery. The food is always delicious, hot, a good level of spicy (I do like it to be a bit spicier), and it gets delivered quick. The driver doesn't drop it off at your door, but if you know Norwood you know there's never anywhere to park so I don't hold it against him. I have yet to ever have a problem, and they throw in small freebies, a gesture much appreciated. read more

I order food for my family and the food was absolutely amazing - everything we tasted melted in other mouths. The lady of the restaurant was very welcoming and accommodating. I have a very picky eater kid and he absolutely loved his food. Food was exceptionally delicious. Ordered lamb vindaloo and chicken tikka masala. Delivery, however, took an hour and a half for a 2 mile drive. In their defense, it was raining. I came in to purchase some naan tonight. When I offered the older woman at the register my card to pay the $5.49 she looked at it in disgust and said "Can you by at least $10?" I told her no and I only want naan. -- Not that it's any of her business, but I just had tooth extractions the day before and my dentist has me on a soft foods only diet. I had already purchased veggies elsewhere and really wanted some naan to go with. -- She continued having a rude look on her face and refused to take my card, so I said forget and left. It took them two hours to deliver my food! Why give them 5 stars you ask? First off, when I called to ask about my order the gentleman that I spoke to was so apologetic an sweet. Apparently the delivery guy was a little lost. When the delivery guy finally got here he was sincerely sorry. Secondly, when I finally sat down to eat my food ....yumapalooza. I ordered papadum, samosas and cheese nan. I ordered and went to go pick it up. The food was ready when I arrived the food was ready. The papadum was papadum, but the samosas were delicious. The potatoes were so well seasoned and flavorful. The cheese nan wasn't great because the bottom was burnt. My biggest issue was the lack of condiments. Before leaving I asked if the condiments were in the bag and told yes, but when I got home, it turns out they weren't. I called and ended up having to walk back because I lived close, but if I didn't I would have been pissed off. I'd go back for the samosas and check for condiments before leaving. read more

I decided to give this a try and ordered delivery. I placed my order at 7:15pm and was told I would get my food between 8-8:15, which I was fine with. 8:15 passes so I give the restaurant a call and come to find out that they were still "cooking" my food because it was a busy night. They told me 20-30 more minutes and I agreed because I already waited over an hour and was just hungry at this point. I received a call close to 9pm saying that the delivery driver was backed up and too far from where I lived for them to drop off my food so my only choice would be to cancel it. I was livid! Never will I ever order from this place, the customer service is horrible and I was rushed off the phone. The only reason I'm giving a 1 star rating is because yelp will not let me continue without doing it. Please beware and go elsewhere for your Indian food! read more

The time passed 8:15 and I contacted the restaurant for an update on the status, they notified me the food is still being prepared and they needed another 1/2hr . I wasn't happy about this but I said ok, it's now 45 mins later I rec'd a call from the restaurant that the delivery driver is backed up and they need to cancel my order. Unbelievable . I ordered from them yesterday night via seamless. I live in Co-op City and the food selections aren't very diverse and some places just don't deliver here. My food took about an hour to come, which was fine with me. You also have to remember that part of that time is cooking,etc. I ordered the vegetarian appetizer platter. The Dal Makhani, paratha and some sort of onion naan ( but it wasn't exactly naan). I can't remember the name. Platter- was a bit over fried. I really couldn't taste anything. A bit bland. The only thing that had flavor was the samosa ( and it was light) and the banana fritter. However, I did eat some of the appetizers in the morning and it had more flavor then. I would order the samosa and the banana fritters again. Dal Makhani- I also didn't taste anything at first. Maybe my taste buds were off. I didn't get any flavor until I ate it with the rice. It was good. Paratha- they use wheat flour and it wasn't as crispy and flaky as I like it. And the delivery guy was soo nice. I would definitely order my favorites from them again. read more
