We arrived and were seated right away. Service was on point. They check on you while also letting you enjoy yourself, which is the perfect balance. Getting into the food, we ordered the shrimp tempura for our appetizer and it was really good. For our entrées, we ordered the Mommy Boil and the Mini Boil with the special Cajun medium sauce. It was so delicious. I loved everything, the potatoes, corn, shrimp, sausage, and mussels. The portions are generous too, like where can you get a $20 seafood boil? (+ $5 for sausage). After we were done, we both had leftovers. In my opinion, the Mommy Boil is more than enough for two, or you can just get two Minis. Overall, I loved my experience. I'm curious about happy hour too. The food was delicious and I will definitely be back. Thank you Baby Crab!

This was my first time ordering from Baby Crab, and I came away impressed…read more I ordered the Snow Crab Legs with the Baby Sauce (mild) and added sausage, plus the Dungeness Crab Legs with the Special Cajun sauce (mild). The pickup experience was excellent. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and everything was packed securely in sturdy aluminum trays. I actually arrived about 30 minutes after they said the order was ready, but the food was still piping hot thanks to the packaging. The standout was definitely the Snow Crab. The legs were large and meaty, and the boil came with plenty of potatoes, corn, and sausage. The Baby Sauce was really enjoyable: rich, buttery, slightly sweet, and only mildly spicy. Personally, I would have preferred it to lean a little saltier and less sweet, but that's just my taste. I'd happily order it again. The Dungeness crab was good, though not quite as memorable. The meat-to-shell ratio wasn't as generous as the snow crab, and I wasn't nearly as fond of the Special Cajun sauce. It wasn't bad, but it lacked the balance and flavor that made the Baby Sauce stand out. Overall, Baby Crab made a great first impression with quality seafood, generous portions, thoughtful packaging, and friendly service. I'd definitely come back... next time I'd stick with the Snow Crab and Baby Sauce. If you're in the Bronx and craving a seafood boil, it's absolutely worth a try.

I had high hopes for Tin Marin in the Bronx, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing…read more We were seated by the manager/owner, Henry Guzman. Unfortunately, the service throughout the evening was mediocre. Our waitress simply forgot about us. We were left waiting for our drinks and had to wait far longer than we should have without any communication or attention. The one person who truly stood out was Edgar. He noticed what was happening, stepped in, and kindly asked us to give him a chance to make things right. He was attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about providing good service. We sincerely appreciate him for stepping up and making an effort to improve our experience. What was most disappointing was seeing the manager/owner, Henry Guzman, sitting at the bar drinking beers instead of overseeing the restaurant and making sure customers were being taken care of. Leadership sets the standard for a business, and when management appears disengaged, it reflects in the quality of service. I hope this review is taken as constructive criticism. Tin Marin has potential, but the customer experience starts with attentive management and better service. Edgar deserves recognition for doing his best to turn a disappointing experience into a better one.

But one things for sure is that I don't remember the service being that bad. We immediately was sat down upon arriving however not serviced for a very long time by the waiter. There was a separate server for drinks but we never actually received a waiter to take our orders. It was an excessive amount of time, at least 40 minutes of waiting for our food order to be taken. We did eventually get someone's attention, but noticeably it was the afternoon and it wasn't packed at all (maybe about 4 other small parties and 1 big party). There was a couple that came in after us and was serviced and received their food before we were able to put in our food order. We were left exhausted of being there so long by the time we wanted to leave. The tapas were appetizing indeed. The GAMBAS AL AJILLO...Shrimp, Creamy Garlic Sauce has always been a hit to me. This was the item that may have redeemed a little bit of the experience. Also what I remembered the most from my previous visit was the octopus, so I had to get it again. The dish specifically was the PULPO AL AJILLO...Sautéed Octopus, Fingerling Potatoes, White Wine, Garlic, Lime, and Olive Oil which was decent and I did enjoy the portion size of it. Although I enjoyed it, that didn't live up to my expectations.

Not a complete overhaul, more of a reduction. It felt more focused actually. We split the Mar y Tierra so we could each have a little steak and a little lobster without trying to stuff ourselves. The lobster was fully cooked and moist, not chewy like it was overdone. It was perfectly prepared. The steak was done medium-rare and it too was obviously properly marinated and grilled just right. It appears that there has been a change in the kitchen and menu re-focused on their strengths. We'll definitely be back sooner than later. If you want a really good steak, I whole heartedly recommend this place, yes again!

The Happy Hour menu is what I came for along with the fact that it was Friday and my first full week of being back to work. I decided to come here after walking by and seeing their happy hour menu. The place is huge and beautiful inside. I included a small video in this review so you can have a better idea. They also offer outdoor dining, just a small area because the inside has plenty of space, even at the bar. I decided to get a classic mojito, buffalo chicken wings with sauce on the side, yucca fries with chimi sauce and my girlfriends ordered oysters, nachos, eggplant coquettes, also buffalo wings and beer along with a passionfruit and coconut mojitos. The drinks were good but not strong enough. I should have ordered some shots lol. The yucca fries were really good with the chimi sauce and my girlfriend enjoyed the oysters with all the toppings but thought they were really small. The eggplants and complementary dinner rolls were the stars of the night, they were delicious and I would ordered plenty on my next visit. As the night began to arrive they were setting up the stage for something like a musical act. The atmosphere began to change and the place became more intimate. A bit romantic and that was our que to leave. My overall experience was good, I had an evening and I will do another visit. I'm giving a thumb up! Happy Yelping!

I paired it with a half dozen oysters that were large, fresh and so succulent. I mentioned to Maria the bartender that I noticed that she was making a lot of Mojito's. She said that they were a very popular happy hour drink. I told her that I always found them to be too sweet and that often times the sugar was not well dissolved and that's why I wasn't a fan. And she said, " that's because you haven't tasted mine". She let me sample a little bit, and it was right on point.

I decided to try food from Gallego after hearing glowing reviews from friends and co-workers…read more Gallego is near one of my job locations and they're open 24/7. I was really excited by the selections as soon as I arrived. It was just after 10pm on a Sunday. So many choices-salmon, escoveitch seafood, fried fish, seafood rice etc. I ordered fried, white fish and seafood rice to go. The portions were generous and the rice was filled with all the right ingredients. The taste though??? Everything tasted like it had been sitting in warming trays for 24 hrs. Rice and fish were really dried out. Hot sauce and tartar sauce (from fish market on the corner) didn't help to make it taste any better. I'd go back again, earlier in the day when the food trays are being replenished. I would probably go for made to order seafood, instead of the the food that's just sitting. Gallego wasn't a total NO. A second chance is possible.
