This is a Spanish seafood takeout business serving Marble Hill in the Bronx. I have patronized this business several times for corn on the cob, baked potato, and grilled shrimp served with butter. It was generally good and tasty to eat my fill. I am a shrimp addict, but I preferred breaded shrimp as the amount of potato out numbered the shrimp. It appeared the shrimp was slightly burnt and overcooked on their grill. I was hoping for sliced onions to emit some flavor, but there were none. Prepared foods and raw seafood of fish, crab, lobster, scallop, salmon, and shrimp are available for purchase. The staff serves customers somewhat attentively, but speaks very minimal English. Good luck as a patron if you are a non-Spanish speaker as I feel somewhat shunned. I highly enjoyed the piña colada (non-alcohol) slushie $5.00 which is a very nice cool down refresher on a hot humid day for a very reasonable price. The takeout menu is haphazard sloppy printed as it is very blurred and illegible.

Food tasted well seasoned but it seems like they reheat leftovers or don't make fresh food.

Oooo only returned back here because the place originally wanted to go to next door wasn't opened…read moreyet. And I remember the food being good. But one things for sure is that I don't remember the service being that bad. We immediately was sat down upon arriving however not serviced for a very long time by the waiter. There was a separate server for drinks but we never actually received a waiter to take our orders. It was an excessive amount of time, at least 40 minutes of waiting for our food order to be taken. We did eventually get someone's attention, but noticeably it was the afternoon and it wasn't packed at all (maybe about 4 other small parties and 1 big party). There was a couple that came in after us and was serviced and received their food before we were able to put in our food order. We were left exhausted of being there so long by the time we wanted to leave. The tapas were appetizing indeed. The GAMBAS AL AJILLO...Shrimp, Creamy Garlic Sauce has always been a hit to me. This was the item that may have redeemed a little bit of the experience. Also what I remembered the most from my previous visit was the octopus, so I had to get it again. The dish specifically was the PULPO AL AJILLO...Sautéed Octopus, Fingerling Potatoes, White Wine, Garlic, Lime, and Olive Oil which was decent and I did enjoy the portion size of it. Although I enjoyed it, that didn't live up to my expectations.

I went to Home BX Steak for my 36th birthday dinner, and overall it was a mixed experience…read more The ambience is really cute--definitely a nice spot for a celebration or a night out. The service was also top tier. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time, which I really appreciated for a special occasion. As for the food, it was just okay. My steak had a bit more fat than I would've liked, and while it was still decent, it didn't fully meet my expectations. The drinks were on the sweeter side, which may be a plus for some, but weren't really my preference. My friends and family felt pretty similar--everyone said their food was okay, nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out. Overall, it's a cute spot with great service, but the food could definitely be better. I'd still consider going back for the vibe and maybe trying different menu items.

Celebrated Father's Day here. I actually liked the decor and set up of the restaurant…read more I was disappointed in the appetizers that was available on Father's Day. There really wasn't much to share with small kids so we settled on bacon - yes you read that right. They have bacon as an appetizer lol. It was ok - on the thicker side and a little greasy. I had the seafood pasta, others had the steak and the short ribs. The pasta was creamy and the steak was good. The short ribs I didn't care for the sauce it was cooked in. We also had pitchers of Sangria - we figured it would be cheaper than paying by glass but beware the pitchers are $110 each. The restaurant is not cheap but it's nice to have a more upscale restaurant on that side of The Bronx. I enjoyed it and wouldn't mind going back.
