She told us Amber would be over to take our order, she did after a long time and then after she delivered our food she NEVER CAME BACK. Not once. We got a seafood boil, didn't get crackers for the crabs. She didn't refill our water or drinks. Didn't see if we needed anything. 55 mins after we got our entrees we asked another server to box up our food and get our check because it was almost 9 pm and we had to get home! We saw her at other tables and tried to get her attention multiple times, it was extremely odd. When she did hand us our takeout, she didn't acknowledge that she hadn't once been back over. It was a bit crowded when we arrived but by this time at 8:45/9pm it was half empty. And because of course I'm a millennial, I tipped 20% regardless but cmon. Then I ordered two empanadas one crab, one shrimp and I would not recommend that neither. The filling was in a tomato sauce which was overpowering. Then we shared a fish with shrimp combo and a side dish. We got the shrimp fried and tostones as a side dish. I also ordered lemonade which was good. I liked the shrimp but my mom did not. My mom said the shrimp was not breaded enough for her. The fish was ok but I am not sure if it was cleaned properly there was a flavor which it had that was odd. The service was ok we did not know where to order. The place was pretty big inside but i would not come. The food was not something which i enjoyed. So many choices-salmon, escoveitch seafood, fried fish, seafood rice etc. I ordered fried, white fish and seafood rice to go. The portions were generous and the rice was filled with all the right ingredients. The taste though??? Everything tasted like it had been sitting in warming trays for 24 hrs. Rice and fish were really dried out. Hot sauce and tartar sauce (from fish market on the corner) didn't help to make it taste any better. I'd go back again, earlier in the day when the food trays are being replenished. I would probably go for made to order seafood, instead of the the food that's just sitting. Gallego wasn't a total NO. A second chance is possible.

Some of the workers here don't really speak any English... but there was someone here who was able to help me even though my Spanish kind of sucks. A delivery of food from one of the restaurant's vendors was coming in while I was standing at the counter to order, and I had to keep moving out of the guy's way as he went in and out of the store with the hand truck. A bit of a pain, but I forgive them since they've got a fully functional and clean All-Gender Bathroom. The stuff here ain't cheap, but it's quality.

I paired it with a half dozen oysters that were large, fresh and so succulent. I mentioned to Maria the bartender that I noticed that she was making a lot of Mojito's. She said that they were a very popular happy hour drink. I told her that I always found them to be too sweet and that often times the sugar was not well dissolved and that's why I wasn't a fan. And she said, " that's because you haven't tasted mine". She let me sample a little bit, and it was right on point.
