Food is excellent, portions are just right- you will have room for desert. We had seafood paella and it was very good, not your traditional yellow rice, more of a tomato base with paprika and saffron notes. Desert was a torrija which was outstanding. This desert was traditional in the torrija aspect but it was stuffed with a crema, served with a small icecream portion. House tempranillo rioja wine was good as well. I must say I'm a sucker for some good Spaniard food. This is in our first time visiting, we did visit when they first opened and they had a limited menu. So we decided to visit now that they fully launched off a complete menu. We came through brunch my wife and I and she ordered the Coquet Madame truffled, and I ordered the bocado de jamón ibérico y queso manchego. I tried my wife's truffle sauce and it was amazing not too strong not too earthy just right, and she really did like her sandwich. She says it was good and in regards to mine, I think it was amazing. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the Iberico ham and manchego cheese combination with a tomato spread on the bottom loaf of bread was really really really good. We did take a slice of Lorraine quiche and an almond croissant home to my daughter. She says the quiche was good, but not as good as our favorite spot (DL)for quiche. In our previous visit, we tried the croquettes platter that brings the mix of shrimp, ham and I believe chicken those were really really good. Everything we've had here so far has been very good and service has been great. The ambience is nice. The interior is very fresh. The setting is sort of a outdoor patio feel with the decorations. Beautiful space and nice vibe for sure. Half the restaurant was full while the other half appeared to be blocked off for a private event. Upon arrival the hostess was on a call with another guest and when she hung up the phone she just stared as if she didn't know what to say. The other customer and I said hello and we were there to dine; quite an awkward welcome if you ask me. I had a reservation (which I recommend) and specifically said that we do not want to sit at the door since it was so hot outside and we didn't want the draft of the humidity. The other guest made the same request. We sat and were pleased with the location until we realized (after patrons kept coming in through the rear door) there was another entrance to the restaurant in the rear. Our server Augusto, was great and made up for the mediocre start. He made great recommendations and was very helpful and kind. We started with the bravas dish but instead of it coming with ham it came with chorizo. We were starving so we ate it. My main dish was the fish over grilled veggies and my guest had the steak. We enjoyed the tastes of our main dishes (that's a pus). We had lemonade and the carrot and orange juices but they're not made from fresh (no bueño). We ended the meal with the manchego cheesecake where the presentation is better than the taste. So we decided next time (yes, everyone deserves a second chance) we would get it without the smoke. We also had tres leches and that was too heavy and soggy but tasted better (to both of us) than the smoked cheesecake. It was quite the experience and too pricey ($200 for this meal) for what they delivered. Though my dish had great flavors the temperature implied it sat out for sometime. I'm all about supporting local and new businesses but with these high prices everywhere and my willingness to pay for it, I expect an experience. Visited Calamillor with my friend who is from Barcelona. We had a great time - the atmosphere is really cute and the decor felt inspired by Andalusia. We ordered the jamon y queso starter, paella as well as an artichoke appetizer. The flavors were extremely authentic and the service was attentive and friendly. We also ordered wine - the wine list is great - I had my friend who is a sommelier take a look and he was impressed also. A lot of Spanish wines to choose from. The prices are quite high but there is a huge focus on quality and authenticity so you are paying for that. They have a great market in the front with wines and other delicacies and you can also grab pastries in the mornings or for dessert. Excited to have a real slice of Spain in Miami! read more

Really cute ambiance but not worth for the food. Disappointed with the seafood paella for two. Paella was very salty and barely had any seafood and whatever seafood there was they were tiny size. Maybe 2 Shrimps in total cut up in tiny pieces and the worlds smallest calamary and mussels. I think the Goya paella you buy at the supermarket has more seafood in it. We visited recently to celebrate our anniversary. Weekday happy hour 4-6pm. Ambiance is very nice, like being in an enclosed terrace, bright and clean. We were seated right away and our server Augusto B took very good care of us. We had the tapas basically that started with a selection of croquetas. The bacalao and chorizo were good, but the ham were delicious, just get those. The foie con guava was great and the gambas al ajillo were the best we've had in a while. Ordered the Croissant Iberico Ham & Manchego for a business event. When I opened the box to set up for the event, I noticed that neither the ham nor cheese were visible. First thing they came to mind was that it was most likely prepared that way, and that the croissant was stuffed. To my surprise it was not. After a bite, one of my potential clients jokingly said where's the beef and cheese since that's what the label near the platter said. Needless to say it was quite embarrassing. I wish that I had read the reviews more carefully before visiting CalaMillor for dinner this evening. I definitely would not have ordered the paella which was disappointing. A decent paella takes time to prepare. Ours came out within only around fifteen minutes. The only logical explanation is that the rice must have been prepared ahead of time and then the little bit of seafood that you get must have been added later. The drinks were good. I don't know if I would go back. If I do, it won't be for the paella. read more

The decor is so cute, gives me Valencia, Spain vibes and the waiters were friendly. The food is next level delicious hands down the best pulpo and Basque cheesecake in Miami!
