Here's why I like Cal Climate Corp: 1) They called to confirm our appointment. 2) The tech was on time. 3) The tech acted professionally: dressed neatly, put down a drop cloth to protect my floor, worked quickly, explained the situation in terms I easily understood. And everything works as promised! He even took time to explain how to program (and programmed) the high-tech thermostat. In my book, this qualifies as superior customer service. 4. Turns out, the tech-Bob Sauer-is the founder's son. Bob and his brother now run the business. read more

Just received service from Mike which came on time, very professional, did great job and very polite. He explained to me what the problem and how he's going to fix it. He was recommended to me by my friend who use his service for many years and now I understood why. After knowing Mike you will keep him for your needs forever and I'm very happy to have deal with him. Thanks again Mike and Courtney for your great service! read more

This place is a real gem. Bob, the technician, is seriously brilliant, super polite, and a pleasure to have working in the house. It is rare to find a place that takes service (honesty, hard-work, and efficiency) as seriously as Cal Climate. read more

Here when they said they would be. Wouldn't leave without fixing the problem, even though access to the AC unit on the roof was a challenge. Competent , professional, and just all around a nice guy. Explained what was wrong, fixed it on the spot. Would highly recommend this company. read more

I was referred to Cal climate by a neighbor that informed me that they have been in the market for over 50 years and they are very professional. When I called the lady was very pleasant and she scheduled the technician to come a day and a half after I called. Since I didn't have an emergency I didn't mind about that. The technician arrived on the scheduled date and he was a little late due to traffic (no complaints here) but he was nice enough to call to let me know. The technician was able to fix my central air conditioning in less than half a day and the price was very affordable. I was very happy he was able to find the real issue because I was told by another company that my unit was not repairable and that I needed a $6,000.00 unit. Cal climate was able to fix my old unit for less than $300.00. Definitely recommend these people! read more

The best AC/Heating service EVER! I have had 20+ years of service and always professional, accurate, timely and priced right!

I have been working with Airtro on HVAC issues at my home and office for over ten years, and have been consistently frustrated with the poor level of service and responsiveness I've received. After contacting 10 other companies I made an appointment with Cal Climate. Bob Sauer arrived on time, with all the tools and equipment he needed, and a very positive attitude. He resolved my issues and had my system up and running in one visit. I cannot give this company and tech a higher level referral - they are amazing! read more

After A LOT of difficulties with various HVAC companies, I finally ended up choosing Cal Climate. This company was referred to me by a very trusted friend. Not only did Cal Climate offer the best price, they offered excellent service. Aside from one or two phone calls to clarify scheduling, everything went VERY well. I have been using my brand new system for over 6 months now and it has worked perfectly! Yay!! I definitely recommend this company. read more

Absolutely the best! Great family business. Honest, friendly and thoughtful workers. . Cal Climate installed my all new central air system in 3 days! Clean. Fast. And very professional. Don't bother with other companies. You get the best with Cal climate. The owners are out there doing the work directly! Amazing experience and I have continued to have annual services with them. Always happy with their work. read more

Before meeting Bob, one of the owners of Cal Climate, (this is a family-owned business), I had used numerous a/c-and -heating companies. None of them, highly recommended or not, were as good, thorough, and professional as he was on his first time at my house. I had been advised to change my old Carrier roof unit, for $7,000. Bob took a look, opened, and whatever he did, it worked. He said, sure, it will need to be changed some day, but not today. And $7,000 is way to high a price. He works the old-fashioned way: he looks for the problem until he finds it, and the tries to fix it!!! He's been over a few times since, also for the furnace, same results. And they are reasonable, too. I would never call anyone else. They are polite, punctual, honest, AND KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I highly recommend them. read more

Cal Climate are fantastic. I had another company who said I needed to spend over $7000 on new heating and air conditioning units and you had to buy them together. My friend gave me the number for Cal Climate, so they came to see why my equipment was not working. First I was told you do not have to buy both heating and air-conditioning units at the same time, just buy what is broken. They checked my heating unit which had been disconnected by the other company because they said it was unsafe. Bob checked my unit and told me it was not unsafe and fixed the problem, and the unit is still working and that was at least 3 years ago. Cal Climate are so honest they just fix what is the problem. They are not out to make up problems for extra money. Cal Climate is the best. read more

I have been a client for 15 years and have always been very pleased with their work. Not only is Bob extremely competent he is also friendly and engaging. The front office staff is also very professional and very easy to work with. read more

We were highly recommended to this company by some neighbors, we called to a set up an appointment to have a new A/C installed, my husband was told someone would call him back, but we did not get a call back, that was two weeks ago, not very professional can't need the business . read more

I've been using Cal Climate for about three years and I couldn't be more satisfied with their responsiveness and professionalism. From the person who answers the phone and schedules appointments to the servicemen, they're always so nice to deal with. I always schedule a routine preventative service each May or June and this year Mike was my serviceman. He gave me an excellent explanation about how to choose a filter for my HVAC system that would enable it to work most efficiently and require fewer changes. The invoice for the service came through email with a mechanism to pay it online which made this the easiest home maintenance service I have had to deal with. Kudos to Cal Climate! read more

I recently posted a one star review of this company and want to revise my rating and clarify when not so frustrated. Cal Climate has wonderful staff. Everyone we've ever dealt with has been a sweetheart. The business is set up to handle routine maintenance and installations very efficiently. However, Cal Climate is weak in the area of handling emergencies because of not being available on weekends and evenings and perhaps not having enough technicians. Every time we have needed repairs, we've had to use other companies. It is painful to be given an appointment 3 weeks away when one is a decades long, loyal customer and it's 116 outside. Great though for routine maintenance and installations. read more

I recently purchased property that is in need of a completely new heating & air condition system. When I asked to set-up an appointment with someone from their company to give me an estimate...I was told they would not be able to schedule an appointment until later in the Fall...because at this time they are only doing repairs. It's one thing to be busy, but another to be completely disinterested. Bob G. Glendale, CA read more

I have to preface this "review" with the fact that I never worked with this company. BECAUSE...they didn't give me a chance to. I left a voicemail explaining the situation with my house: that it was an 80 year old house with no existing HVAC or A/C system. It had no ducting currently and my electrical panel would need an upgrade. That I was looking to upgrade my house and was referred to them by a friend. I got a return phone call about 20 min later. The woman sounded very friendly. Great. She then proceeded to tell me that after reaching out to the owner, they were not interested in my project at this time. I have to admit it sort of took me aback. She further explained that they only are interested in servicing existing units or replacing units with ducting not starting a new project from scratch. I said, "maybe you should put that in your YELP ad and on your website because nothing states that in any way. It clearly says A/C installation." She then tried to back pedal saying this was only currently due to the pandemic they had to lay off people and didn't have enough people...blah blah blah. Look I get it, the pandemic messed up a lot of things, but I am so tired of people still using that as a convenient excuse. So I said, " you basically don't want or need my money, Nice to know. " And hung up. So for any of you out there who need to install an HVAC system for the first time. DO NOT BOTHER CALLING THESE PEOPLE. I would never do business with them in the future. Very rude. read more

Technician Mike arrived within the promised time frame, with mask. Diagnosed the fault with our forced air heater. Explained the cost to repair before making the repair (not a universal practice lately), and fixed the problem. Replaced an old thermostat as well, plus confirmed that the new one worked for the aircon as well as the heater. We are pleased with the results and will call on them again as needed. read more

Well here we go again. I had a problem with the A/C at my rental last week. I thought that I would give Cal Climate another try because of Chris' reply to my initial review. I left a message one week ago and haven't received any call back yet. Same problem, different year. Chris' claim that this problem has been corrected in my opinion is total BS. I will not give this company a third try. I called North Air and they have already replaced my old 4 ton split unit. My tenants are happy and so am I. Don't waste your time with Cal Climate, give Vigen a call at North Air (818 567-0056) he has bailed me out twice now. read more

I have been dealing with another air conditioning service company for at least 20 years. They are no longer in business so I was urged to call Cal Climate. Wow, what a treat. He was on time, got down to business, did everything my previous company did to service the conditioner and it was far less expensive. Bob was great and friendly. I was so thankful to get this recommendation, My friend called a company she saw advertised. They came out and basically just took her money and left. They didn't even put in a filter or check the freon. read more

Cal Climate has been around for 40 years and I think they are the best ac guys in the Los Angeles/Burbank/Glendale area. They were very knowledgeable about what I needed and saved me a lot of money (all the other ac companies wanted twice as much). Cal Climate was honest and did a great job (I like my home freezing at night)! One of the guys, Shaun Sauer, although young was particularly helpful in explaining exactly what was wrong with my unit and what I needed. I highly recommend Cal Climate. read more

Cal Climate is great! Bob was prompt and explained everything, and he is easy to work with. He checked my two furnaces and two a/c units and fixed some duct problems. Even though he was crawling around under my house, he was careful and clean, so there was no mess to clean up. Also, the prices were very reasonable. Why go anywhere else? They just make everything easy. Thank you! Steve G read more

I used Cal Climate about 3 weeks ago and they were a life saver. I had a problem with debris and was told by 2 different companies that i needed to replace the unit completely and that it would cost me $4600. Cal Climate came out, assessed the situation, told me to have the vents and unit cleaned and sanitized, they referred me to a vent company and then my unit was up and running again. there was no need for a new AC unit since mine was still in working condition. So I spent $500 versus $4600. They will now be my regular ac company. read more

Wow. Tom came out and checked out my old system. He explained what I needed to do and he fixed it. I got 3 other quotes and Cal Climate was right in the middle. I was blown away with the workmanship and honesty from this company. They are very busy in the summer time but they are really worth the wait. They only install top of the line products and really do a great install. I am a contractor myself and this workmanship is A+++. It was a pain in the neck, but after interviewing several companys - 5 yrs ago - to replace my gravity furnace in a 1932 built house, Cal Climate stood out as the best choice by far. I recently had a flooded basement which killed the furnace. Cal Climate fixed the problem quickly, reasonably and as stress-free as you could hope for. It's a good feeling to know that at least for this part of home ownership, I have a place to go to that's knowledgeable, fair and friendly. I highly recommend Cal Climate Corp for heating and air conditioning. read more

These guys are cool! Pun intended. We were referred to Cal Climate by our well trusted contractor, Bill Eller. We have a 3-story home that was quite a challenge for a full HVAC redo. The quote was reasonable, but more importantly, no mid-project $$ surprises. They ran into a few challenges, but they solved them without complaint or extra charges. Tom & Bob (the owners) as well as Chris & Anthony are absolute professionals and very courteous. They don't make a mess and were conscientious around the house. An example of their caring attitude- a neighbor's trash bin had tipped over during the night and the guys cleaned it up on their own when they arrived in the am. The owners are hands on and were on the job every day. I highly recommend Cal Climate and the products they use. read more

What a gem! I was referred to Bob by a friend when my heater suddenly stopped working. When Bob arrived, it turned out that he does work for many of my neighbors and has been doing so for over 20+ years. He was very professional, personable, and had the unit up-and-running in no time. His charge was extremely modest. I'd highly recommend him. It's hard to find an honest, skilled contractor. read more

Had Cal Climate out for a servicing when our Central heating was going on and off. Bob was friendly, clean and honest. He did a thorough inspection and servicing of our HVAC system which took about 45 minutes. He found the problem and then fixed it at no additional charge. Then he took the time, an additional 20 minutes to help us with our Programmable Thermostat, which we had never learned how to use properly. No up sell, explained everything clearly. What a gem! I'm now a fan! read more
