A tech from cal climate said they saw zero proof of leaks on my roof. This attached picture is from 5 days ago which clearly shows leaks. I called cal climate today at 4:20pm and asked to speak to the tech that went to my home within the past hour. I was very rudely told i am forbidden to speak with the tech on the phone and that I will have to schedule another in person appointment and pay an additional fee. The tech literally left my home 30 minutes ago. The rude female I spoke with on the phone yelled at me, spoke over me, and laughed at me when she heard my frustration. She then hung up on me. I'm sure that had nothing to do with the fact that they close in 7 minutes. These people care zero about customer service. read more

Our AC had been having problems for almost a year. We changed the thermostat twice (finally putting a Nest in) and had three other companies come out and take a look. The first guy replaced our Honeywell with another Honeywell that we purchased and then left while it was 96° in our condo! The second guy told me that our HVAC system doesn't work well with a Nest and we would most likely have to replace it with a simple, boring thermostat. The Nest would work for a short time and then the temperature would climb and climb...especially on a hot, humid days. Our board president of our condo recommended that we call Mike from Cal Climate...apparently he worked on a few of the HVAC units from the building. Best call ever! Mike diagnosed the problem within five minutes and fixed it within 30. Apparently the reservoir that holds the condensation water wasn't draining properly because the hose that drains it was partially plugged. And the sensor would stop the AC from working because it was trying to not have the reservoir overflow! He flushed out the hose and added a couple of tablets to keep it from getting blocked again so quickly...and went on his merry way, always being respectful and very friendly. We are so thankful to Mike and Cal Climate and are extremely happy with our Nest now! read more

Three weeks ago our two year old furnance did not blow hot air. Friend told us to call Cal Climate. Bob came and manually turned the switch in the attic. Our 2nd time using Cal Climate Corp and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. First time, we were doing some remodeling and needed to move our air conditioner. It is an older unit, so I figured I might go ahead and replace. All my bids for move or replace told me I needed to replace the entire system...except one. Bob at Cal Climate took the time to explain what was good, and what was weak, with the brand of unit I had. In the end, it didn't make sense to replace and the fee for moving the unit and servicing it was quite reasonable. Fast forward a couple of years and our unit blew a capacitor. I specifically asked for Bob to come back out and they were able to schedule a call in a few days. Again, he explained in great detail how the capacitors have changed over the years and why they do go bad from time to time. He made the fix, checked the freon levels and even cleared out some weeds around the machine with no extra charge. The price of the service was barely more than the part would've cost me myself! It's been a year and a half since I hired Cal Climate to replace my old AC unit and Furnace with new Lennox machines (back in Jan 2015). I was waiting to see how everything looked a year later and I have to say I am extremely happy with the units and this company. It was a pleasure to deal with them. I had to wait a week because of the Covid situation but my instincts and the reviews told me it was worth it. My condenser unit died a noisy death. The repairman was absolutely professional. He did a thorough check to confirm what had happened. He took the info from my existing unit to see if there was any warranty left, instead of just selling me a new one. Highly recommend!!! My Very old AC unit went out during a heatwave and I was expecting that I would need a whole new unit. I called on a Monday and got an appointment for Thursday which I thought was prompt during 100 degree heatwave. Mike showed up and listened very patiently to ALL my concerns. Took his time checking EVERYTHING out. After going on the roof he agreed that it was very old but reassured me that it worked and was still okay!!! YAY. He worked his magic cleaning it and giving it some juice!! Came back in several times and made sure each and every vent worked properly. Took his time and was VERY thorough and he was good at explaining everything. I discussed with him that I was almost sure I had some duct issues. We had great communication. He understood what I was talking about he wanted to crawl into my attic to check it out, however I didn't want him to because I thought it was too hot.
