FREONX gave us a quote for a 5 ton Star Air Midea central air conditioner after we requested a quote for a Rheem central air conditioner, claiming both brands as the same, installed the Midea 5 ton Star Air which has never cooled down our small house on a hot day and is difficult to obtain a return call from to service the air conditioner. read more

Okay where to start... Be sure to pay attention, as this is a prime example of a company you want to avoid at all costs. I was having issues with my central heating. So they send out their tech, George. He diagnoses it and tells me it's gonna require a new mother board and also two new pulley wheels to get the job done. An $1100 quote. So I agree to these terms, but I told him there is a bad gas leak on the roof next to the unit. George advises me no charge and will include the gas leak repair for free, and included with the other services. Cool lets do it. So he goes up and allegedly completes this work, then comes down to me to advise that he needs $1100 for the work, but also it needs a draft inducer motor as well, and would be an additional 600..... So I tell him to hold off for now, as I immediately noticed something shady was talking place..... Luckily for me I had a GoPro cam installed capturing the work the tech was completing. And what do you know, he did not even attempt to replace the wheels for the fan. Yet charged me $1100 on the invoice. AND then he replaced the motherboard. Did not touch the gas leak.... So they were charging me $1100 for something that didn't even fix my unit. DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS It gets worse.... So I ended up buying a draft inducer motor myself and installed it for $50 versus the $1600 in Total they wanted. The invoice they even tried to charge ,e $150 for fixing the gas leak, but yet they didn't even touch it, and also advised it was free. What happened? So obviously the company is a bunch of scammers. To prove my point I replaced the ,motherboard with my old and it w, then orked fine. If I would of gone forward with these guys I would of paid over $1700, vs $60 my son did it with.... Leaving the gas leak open and leaking and ten proceeding to tell me they fixed it, but made no attempt. could have caught my house on fire. Im in the process of taking them to court. So I reach out to corporate to explain what happened. and their response was "all tasks were completed correctly" Umm according to three camera footage he didn't install things I was charged for. So if that is doing it correctly then you are the type of business people need to stay away from. They are still sending me an invoice for $1100. Im gonna need a written apology letter along with $600 for wasting my time, otherwise court case to come real soon. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS read more

We had very old HVAC on our home. Every year it gave us some troubles and had to fix it with costs. Finally this year we decided to change it to a new HVAC system. We searched Yelp as we usually do with good reviews and many companies messaged us for this project. When we've got a message from FREONX (Nancy), we liked the upfront very reasonable pricing and her kindness. She explained every details which we had some questions about the project and made us feel very safe. Even the technician(Tom) came to check the unit before start the project and he prepared everything he needs for the project. Our old unit has an opposite position of supply and return duct system and it gave more challenge to install the new unit but the technicians from FREONX handled it very professionally without problem! (It was all day work and they worked really hard!) We really satisfied with their wonderful service and they did the work on the schedule that they promised. There were no delays, surprises or hidden costs. All the work was completed professionally, expertly and on time. Strongly recommend FREONX to anyone who is considering any service for your HVAC system needs. Hope this review will be helpful for you whoever needs a help for your HVAC system, thank you very much for reading this and stay healthy! read more

They are very professional and fast. They gave the most reasonable quote for us to replace a new AC unit. They acted pretty quick even during the hottest days in history. Tom and Nancy replied really quick to all my questions and requests. With their help I could get a rebate from the Glendale DWP too. read more

I needed a mini split installed. I had purchased the unit already and just needed the install. I got about 10 bids, they were all over the place in price, some places refused to install unless I bought the unit from them. Freonx was great. Their bid was the most reasonable, they had an opening within a couple of days and the installer was courteous and very conscientious about his work. Nancy is quick to reply and accommodating. If you need any ac work, call them, they are the best. read more

We had a tech come out this week to check out our HVAC system. It was a long shot but they came out in the rain, did a quick assessment came back the very next day to fix the problem. He was patient and informative, walked us through exactly what was going on and we're very pleased with the service. So pleased we called them today to come take a look at the heater problems at our second office location. Definitely going to keep using Freonx. read more

Great service. Friendly and reliable. My AC wasn't cooling enough. They discovered the issue and within an hour it was solved.

Let's start with communication. I messaged about 20 companies through yelp and FREONX got back to me almost immediately, answering my initial questions. I spoke to Nancy on the phone and she was so incredibly helpful! She booked me the same day and when the technician was delayed at another job she messaged me directly and called as well to say sorry and provide me with an updated time. She was so great throughout the process!! A very special thank you to her! Extremely professional and upfront pricing. Our technician arrived and was very accommodating and just went above and beyond in searching for a leak. In the end, he recharged my unit with R410-A and had us up and running quickly! Two of my neighbours asked for contact details to get their own service/new installation. Don't think twice. I've done the research. These guys have the best prices and they know their stuff. I won't go anywhere else from now on!! Thanks again! read more

I had an HVAC project and sent out quote requests via Yelp and heard from freonx 3 days after the last company had already come and done an in person estimate. I asked them when they would be available the soonest and to please reply quickly since they had been so terrible about replying before and boy did they reply with a complete "f*ck you" telling me their next appointment for an estimate is not until a month away. Funnily enough I got this message as i was having an actual company of professionals doing the job for me already. read more
