Pistachio cake!
Lucy M.

A friend ordered a pistachio birthday cake from here and I was so excited because I love pistachio and it's not used nearly enough by anyone, for anything. It was incredible! There are real tiny nut chunks baked into the moist and fluffy cake, and they seemed to be in the frosting too. I'm not a cake person, so I did take off some of the frosting from my piece, but that I ate a whole piece at all is a testament to how good this cake is. They sell individual pieces so it's worth it to come and give it a try!

They just miiiiiight be putting CRACK in this cake. It's so addictive and so good!

Okay, so i was able to cop a slice of the banana cake for a friend who was visiting from out of town. The owner/baker was SO NICE and even let me in this afternoon even though they were technically closed. The selection was limited (only cuz they weren't really open), so i wisely settled on the banana cake cuz i KNEW it was gonna be lit after having tried it last year. ::Spoiler Alert:: The cake was declared to be the best in the land. My friend actually put her hand to her forehead like she was remembering a lost love. Genuinely puzzled, with misty eyes, she exclaimed, "Oh my goodness - WHAT are they putting in this cake???" Having had some myself and also forced to wonder, i had no answer for her. We both just know that it's moist, sweet (without being overly so), delicious, and tastes homemade. i personally don't know HOW i'm gonna manage my new low-sweets diet with Cake Ambience putting out the quality of deliciousness that they've got going on.

Banana pudding cake DELISH. OMG so so good. Moist, fresh and just the right amount of sweetness. So good.

I honestly drove from Bayonne NJ hoping for the black cake. They were sold out . But the pistachio and banana pudding were a very pleasing surprise. Well worth cheating on my diet for. But I will be paying the $16 thru the Holland tunnel to return for this cake and hopefully the BLACK cake will not be some out. . So so so good

What a neighborhood gem. I like my life simple. Just give me the cake and that's it. I stumbled on it and have been addicted to the place ever since. Don't expect a fancy ambiance, the only ambiance they are giving is that cake! All the flavors are good, so you really can't go wrong. I had the pistachio, banana pudding, and carrot cake. The cake is moist and the filling is extremely edible. It is not that store-bought Pillsbury icing (no shade). You feel like they put a little tenderness and love just to get the flavor of the icing right. My favorite is the pistachio, but I think this is the best carrot cake I have ever had. The raisins in that carrot cake stick out to me. #Repeatcustomer

Small Mom and Pop style bakery that I can't get enough of! Moist, decadent cake with the right amount of sweetness! Second time getting both of these slices and I'm hooked. Service is always nice and quick. I need to try different flavors on my next visit but they are truly a hidden treasure!

I returned to Cake Ambiance and tried their chocolate cake for the first time. I wish I took a photo before I dug in because the slice I received was HUGE. I can happily say that it was the best chocolate cake I've ever had. I will definitely be returning.

We ordered one strawberry and one strawberry banana crêpe. They were filled with strawberries and bananas, and the outside was drizzled with glorious Nutella, which is a hazelnut chocolate sauce . The texture of the crêpes were absolutely perfect and that was the part I was most craving. I also loved the Nutella part. The banana and strawberry not so much as to me that didn't really have much of a taste, but maybe that was because the rest of it was super flavorful and over powered the fruit. All good and definitely satisfied my crêpe craving, but next time I would stop by to enjoy their desserts in person. The Kunafa looks particularly wonderful and has definitely peaked my curiosity.

Having a dessert spot in the neighborhood that is open late night and is serving flavors of our culture is nothing short of a dream come true. Not so great for my weight loss goals, though haha. Thank you, Moose. I came in here, and the place was absolutely buzzing, with groups of people enjoying their late night desserts- a testament to how much we needed this spot to just open and thrive and exist. I don't personally like cream Kenafa so I haven't really tried anything off their menu yet, but the Dubai chocolate crêpe is really calling out my name, and I am just going to bite the bullet and try it one of these days. I did go in to sample their Dubai chocolate. As a chocoholic, I am on a low-key search for the best Dubai chocolate bar in the city. This bar did not disappoint. The filling to chocolate ratio was perfect. However, I do feel that there is an over balance of crispy kanafa in the filling. I think it could use more pistachio cream and be a little on the runnier side. Can't wait to come back and try that crêpe. Until I am able to make that trip back, do stop in and enjoy a sweet treat in this cute little dessert shop. It's also Palestinian owned so you know you are supporting the right people and the right cause while satisfying that sweet tooth craving. What more could a customer ask for?

The ice cream is incredible--rich, flavorful, and tastes homemade. The mango is a standout, and the brownies are honestly next-level--warm, decadent, and just a step away from a perfect lava cake. They've also got amazing cakes (including a fantastic carrot cake) and a great selection of treats that keep you coming back. What really makes this place special, though, is the owner, Peter. He's always welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind. He greets customers with a smile, takes the time to say hello, and creates an atmosphere that feels both personal and inviting. The staff deserves just as much praise--every single one of them is amazing: professional, friendly, funny, and kind. I've known many of them over time, and they consistently go above and beyond. Today, one of the staff members was incredibly sweet--she even brought my order out to me while I was sitting in my car. That kind of service is rare and really shows how much they care. The shop itself is spotless--seriously clean, top to bottom--and there's even a cozy outdoor seating area where you can sit and enjoy your coffee or dessert. Anyway, I was in Brooklyn with my brother to see a concert and had just finished dinner. We had some time before doors opened so we decided to grab a little ice cream before heading over to the venue. Farmacy was steps away - it all seemed like it was meant to be, so off we went. Farmacy aims to capture the nostalgia of an old fashioned soda shop and ice cream parlor. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by aesthetics - the tile, fixtures, and decor totally give off that vibe. There are a few tables to sit as well as a large bar area with stools; I also noticed a few tables set up outside as well. The traffic flow is set up so that you order first and then have it served to you after sitting. Browsing the menu, I noticed they have a selection of ice cream scoops, shakes, egg creams, specialty sodas, hot chocolates, and a large variety of sundae creations. Since we were there for ice cream, we decided to split a sundae -specifically the Sir Twix-a-Lot. This was chunks for shortcake tossed in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream that was coated in a chocolate shell. Overall I thought the sundae was solid - but the combinations of textures weren't my favorite to be honest, mostly with how the shortcake played with the ice cream. It wasn't bad though - the flavors definitely gave the Twix aesthetic. My only other issue with the dish was that because chocolate shell was used, any residue at the bottom was hard so you have to chisel it if you want to savor any last spoonfuls; I guess that comes with the territory. Service was good - everyone was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there so we had our selection of seats and our ice cream was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Brooklyn Farmacy out - they have a large selection so I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.

We did the prix fixe -- my wife got the steak shishlik, I got the trout. Before the actual entrees even arrived, we were already fighting for survival against wave after wave of hummus, babganush, potatoes, pickled cabbage, olives, Israeli pickles, and endless fresh pita. At one point I'm pretty sure the pita basket respawned automatically like a video game. We also ordered the halloumi which was delicious, but absolutely unnecessary. That cheese showed up like an uninvited cousin to Thanksgiving dinner. Nobody needed it, but somehow we were still happy it came. The drinks at the bar were the real MVPs. Fruity, dangerous, and exactly what you want while staring dramatically out a rainy window pretending you're in an A24 film. The trout was excellent. My wife's steak was slightly over salted, which honestly just gave us an excuse to drink more cocktails. Overall, 10/10 experience. Come hungry, leave bloated, slightly tipsy, and emotionally attached to the pita basket.

Seating space (not a lot of it, so I imagine it can get packed on busy times) and bathrooms on premises. Hot chocolate was delicious. We got the spiced dark chocolate and the spices were overwhelming. Get dark chocolate without spices. The extra dollar for marshmallow made the chocolate even sweeter, so it was overwhelming and I wouldn't recommend. But. The extra dollar for whipped cream would be nice because the their homemade whipped cream isn't sweet, so it will just thicken up the drink and give you that extra texture oooomph that you'll appreciate. Torino cafe is basically coffee added to any hot chocolate of your choice. That was tasty with dark chocolate. You definitely tasted the coffee and it was less thick than regular hot chocolate (which was on a thinner, sippier side). You can sample ice cream to make your selection. It's all very sweet, so if you're looking for a less sweet option go with Belgian dark chocolate flavor. For a $18 banana split you get three scoops of ice cream and a caramelized banana. Not a big portion for such hefty price. The tiny addition of toppings didn't make this banana split come together into a cohesive dish. Would get something else next time. Definitely not a good deal. Young lovely girls at the cashier were super friendly and accommodating. The not so young gentleman with a mustache who brought our order to the table was very dismissive and rude when we asked him to please bring us a correct order (he carried multiple orders and was harried to be done delivering them and barked something incoherent at us when we asked for help).
