Solid 3 stars. My fiancé and I stopped in for lunch. We started with the calamari, which was pretty basic. We didn't find anything special about it that would make us want to order it again. Also, no tentacles...just rings. For my entree I chose a boil. For my boil I had scallops, head off shrimp, and black mussels in the cajun claws blend medium spice. It also came with corn and baby potatoes. My boil did not have any spice at all. It was quite mild. I was disappointed in this as I was really looking for that spice. There was no oomph! My fiancé said his lobster spaghetti was flavorless; no taste in the sauce at all. His meal also came with shrimp and scallops. The scallops were not whole, they were split in half. For drinks, he ordered "Bikini" which was supposed to be served in a pouch, which it was not. I had "Tropical." Drinks had decent flavor. Our waitress was attentive. We did agree that we'd return but definitely order something else.

We were a very large group on a Friday and Kelly was so gracious and kind to us. They can accommodate a solo diner to large groups and everyone eats well. Very generous portions and the bar is very very well done.

We had the grilled oysters, lobster roll, and lobster bisque. The food was very mediocre. The lobster bisque was a little too cheesy for my liking and the lobster roll wasn't particularly appetizing. The lobster roll had lettuce and some sweet sauce that was off-putting. We also did not get served water for our dinner which was unpleasant. The restaurant wasn't busy so I expected our server to be more interactive and present. Although the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere with string lights, we are more likely to not return.

In the ever-long search for a good lobster roll on Long Island I somehow came across Cajun Claws for a delivery dinner. Well I'll be as brief as this meal was. The lack of lobster, I really couldn't look past. I've had lobster rolls from a few places and this one took the cake for the biggest skimp job on lobster meat. It wasn't even inside the split roll, just placed on top to make it look "stuffed". It's a shame as the fries were very well seasoned with an old bay type of seasoning and the yuzu mayo was lovely. The lobster roll itself is unforgivable however, I tasted the buttered bread roll itself more than the lobster, and when you have to ration your meat, it makes for a tedious meal. My quest for a good lobster roll on Long Island continues.

After not dining here for over a year, my boyfriend surprised me on Valentine's Day with dinner here. My expectations were very high, as I had been dreaming about their seafood boils since the aforementioned last time we dined here. I was nervous the food wouldn't be as great because of the holiday and how long it had been since we last dined here, but I was wrong! My boyfriend and I started with their tangy chicken wings which in all honesty, were the crispiest wings I've ever had. The flavor was great and the portion was perfect. He ordered a blueberry margarita and was very impressed with it. Not overly sweet but not straight tequila as he put it "a perfect balance, thank god". Now for the main event. The boil. My boyfriend spoils he and we agreed we would do the ultimate boil and a smaller boil for us to share. It was the perfect amount of food. The ultimate came with potatoes and corn, for our main we chose the snow crab legs, crawfish and calamari in their original sauce with a mild spice level. The crab legs were phenomenal. Buttery, big pieces and something I'll be dreaming about until next time. The calamari was okay, definitely not the shining star but still cooked perfectly and flavorful. The crawfish were also delicious. Next time we go we definitely wanna kick up the spice level, it wasn't enough for us but you live and you learn! For our smaller boil, we got scallops and mussels in the Cajun claw sauce with a medium spice. That was the best decision we made. The sauce was extraordinary. I couldn't stop dipping EVERYTHING in it. The mussels were a stand out and everything was perfectly cooked. We had an amazing time here for Valentine's Day and I would love to personally shout out our waitress who did a great job for her first day! Not an easy gig taking on a holiday like this. The owner was also giving out roses to every lady as they left, while I didn't get one, he must have not seen us go, my experience was unforgettable.

Patchogue in Long Island, New York is starting to really become busy with many businesses opening up in development and main street with plenty to do when you walk around. Cajun Claws if you're in the mood for anything seafood or boil, it sits right on main street and has a different variety on the menu. We came as a table of 13 people. Some of us were in the mood for an entrée or selecting a boil. I ordered the soft shell crab burger. I haven't had it anywhere else and wanted to try something new. Last time I came here I had a boil, but it was way too much for me and wanted to try the soft shell crab burger to switch it up. (I forgot to take pictures and make a review a couple of years ago when I came to Cajun Claws). The food was good, service was immediate and our waitress was attentive and always came back to check if we needed anything. The only part I would complain were the French fries were too crispy. I thought it was just my meal, but a few of us who had fries were also too crispy too. Overall, the food was delicious and fresh. Parking is readily available, whether you're on main street or going to park by the lot near Cajun Claws. We came on a Sunday, free parking was available. If you're up for a boil, seafood, come through to Cajun Claws. Plenty of time to walk around main street just in case you get a food coma!

Co worker and my friend told me about here this place and recommend it to me and my girlfriend. The smell hits you right when you walk into the restaurant. The season at Cajun Claws is amazing. Girlfriend and I ordered our food and had a great waiter. His name was Joe. He was very friendly and helpful with ordering and telling us about the menu and the survey to get a free beer or wings. Was amazing. I ordered a soft crab burger with fries and lobster bisque soup. And along with the wings. The crab was so good and seasoned up along with the fries. The soup was the best lobster bisque I have ever had. The wings were so crunch. My girlfriend and I loved them. We're going to go again and order the bucket they have. Dined here last night with my wife and 12 year old son. It was a wonderful meal. First, the service was great. Our waitress Shannon was a pleasure. She was attentive and very nice. Everything was served promptly. Drinks were refilled when needed. And she helped explain things when asked. The food was delicious. I had 1/2 doz oysters. They where fine. Nice and briny. My wife had the lobster bisque. It was so good. It has a unique flavor that was slightly sweet. Never quite tasted it this way before. Well done! My son ordered the fried calamari and it came with two sauces. It was very nicely done. For dinner my son had the soft shell crab sandwich. He loved it. I tried it and it was perfectly done. My wife and I shared the $49 boil. It has a lobster, shrimp and octopus. Also corn, potatoes and sausage. You select the sauce and the heat level. We with with Cajun, medium. It was fantastic! Super fresh. A nice kick to the sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal. This places definitely has a good thing going. We will be back. This place was pretty good, but not perfect. The wings were a little dry and not very flavored, but they were free, so I guess...that's something. The meal itself shined. The soft shell crab sandwich was great, if a little too batter-y. The crab cakes were delicious, and the seafood boil was just...wow. Great portion, definitely enough for 2. The meant is a little confusing on how the ultimate boil works, so here you go: you order one thing from the top and two from the bottom section. Great spot altogether though. read more

I went specifically for the snow crab seafood boil, which is more popular out west, but messy and delicious. I stopped at a local fish market and found puny crab legs, so decided to come over here instead. I took a chance and gave it a whirl. Server was attentive, yet not a creeper. All tools, napkins, bib and wipes ready for you ahead of time. Good job! Owner or Manager, very well dressed, briefly stopped by to ask how everything was, without interrupting your meal. Bonus points. Crab legs were much larger than the fish market, so well worth the money! Sauce was tasty. I ordered the house sauce, with "spicy". It was perfect. I'll be back when I'm craving a seafood boil around this area. read more

Great place for happy hour ! The wings are the beat I've ever had , delicious Teriyaki sauce and the outside skin on the wings still remains crunchy. They are unbelievable . For happy hour they have half dozen $5 oysters and clams and u know they are fresh ! Also they know how to shuck which is a definite plus. I hate when I can't just slurp them down and a need a fork and then half the oyster is wasted:(. They did a fabulous job! Bartenders are friendly and super on point service . Happy hour you must sit at the bar... which is totally fine but next time I would like to try a boil pot! Everything delicious, no complaints. read more

I cannot say enough amazing things about Cajun Claws in patchouge!!!! my husband and I have been dinning here since its opening and it is our ABSOLUTE FAVORITE RESTAURANT! We feel like we've grown with them bc we stayed loyal during a pandemic, my entire pregnancy, and now that my son is 1 and has only had his seafood from Cajun claws, it feels the most like family taking care of us every single time we walk in the door!!! The menu is amazing with so many uniquely paired and freaking delicious apps and entrées. BUT THE SEAFOOD BOILS!!!!! OMG I've been to other seafood boils on the island and Cajun Claws is the best hands down! no one can touch them with the sauces and options! I needed oysters in my life and decided to come here. Not the best I've ever had ,but definitely delicious. The vinegar sauce was decent. The pineapple juice was tasty. The waiter Jesse was attentive and kind. (Tip: please don't put your wait staffs fill name on the receipt. I don't plan to stalk him, but it seems like a privacy issue)The lady at the bar was friendly as well. My only qualm was that I wish I was aware that it was happy hour and I could have saved $4 and most likely would have ordered more food (bottomless pit here). I got a Father's Day gift card so I'll definitely be looking forward to an update of how the rest of the food is. read more

When I drove past this I was super excited because when I want a seafood boil, I was used to driving to the city to "the boil." Safe to say I will be continuing to take that drive. The atmosphere is nice. There beer selection needs improvement. We ordered the Lobster Bisque which was good. The shrimp cocktail was also good. We ordered the combo of shrimp and potatoes. The food tasted as if it was cooked first and then the seasoning dumped on it and then heated up again. There was a good amount of seasoning in the bag but the food was still bland. Hopefully the kinks will be worked out ! read more

The crab is really good but the shrimp is okay. The cajun blend is amazing!! The fries too. I like the indoor it's cute. And the service is also great. I would come back if Hook n Reel doesn't open back up in Bay Shore. This is the first place I had Cajun and i fell in love I just live too far. This Restruant is anything but cajun. Almost the entire menu was Asian in nature and had only 2 or so items that was actually cajun. After dinner, I approached the gentleman collecting the entrance fee to ask what time the fee begins and whether it applies to guests and families who are coming specifically for dinner. He informed me that there is no set time for collecting the fee and that it is entirely at his discretion. I respectfully asked him to clarify how that policy is determined, but he refused to provide an explanation. When I asked for his name, he responded that he "doesn't have one" and immediately ignored me, turning his attention to the next customer approaching the entrance. I found this interaction to be extremely unprofessional and discourteous. My concern is less about the entrance fee itself and more about the lack of transparency and the dismissive manner in which my questions were handled. Customers should be treated with respect when asking reasonable questions about a business's policies. Since he refused to identify himself, I have attached a photo of the individual. Because of this experience, I intend to share my concerns with management. Unfortunately, this interaction has left a very negative impression, and I do not plan on returning.

I've been to Main Street Patchogue a few times before and I'm always amazed at how it's now like Huntington, with tons of eateries, bars and places to hear live music. It was a busy late Spring Friday night and my cousin told me if we were there just two weeks later (ie, post Memorial Day), there would have been lines to get in anywhere. So make resos! I made one easily earlier that day and when we arrived around 7:30, it was not packed, but it is pretty loud in there even half full. Our waiter, Jonathan, expertly took such great care of us from start to finish, even taking my father's dad jokes in stride. There's a solid cocktail menu, but I had a couple glasses of a better-than-decent prosecco. My cousin loved his espresso martini. For food, count on a couple respectable vegan entrees and I went with the Japanese eggplant with cashew ricotta. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. The vibe here is festive and vibrant and a great choice for groups and families.

As a seafood fan I had to try Cajun Claws as soon as it opened! My favorite items that I ordered included the seafood tower for 2, brussel sprout appetizer and the tangy chili chicken wings. The seafood tower was prepared perfectly and it was all extremely easy to eat, which makes your seafood experience that much better! Additionally, the brussel sprout appetizer was cooked perfectly and the crispy bacon was incredible. The last thing I need to rave about are those tangy chili chicken wings. They are the juiciest and most flavorful wings I have ever had, a most welcome surprise from a predominantly seafood based restaurant! Will most definitely be returning. read more

This is not In my neighborhood. I did not plan to come here, but a friend of mine wanted to try because it's new. We went to try the crab and the shrimp and they were amazing! I hesitated at first because the way they serve it, it really didn't look like much. Everything was thrown in together in a plastic bag. But once we started eating, WOW!!! Never had a Cajun Boil before, our waiter, Joe, was knowledgeable and helped walk us through the process. Food was very delicious. It's seafood, so be ready to get messy. They had plenty of napkins available, so that was never an issue. I'll recommend the Spicy Cajun sauce, which, if you like spicy stuff, you'll totally enjoy. It is nice place for relaxing and enjoying the food. The food is so delicious and the spices just use in right way. Usually I don't like to eat lobster, because the lobster meat is very hard to get tasty, but here you can taste it and your tongue will have parties which the seafood flavor and spices combine.
