This time, we got the Hot Honey Cottage Cheese Bowl and the Mediterranean Bowl and they were both fresh and delicious. I got pistachios instead of cashews for personal preference. But it is cool that they make everything in front of you from scratch so you can make modifications or additions! I have a gluten sensitivity, and the team members were able to help instruct on what to avoid and what would be best. All the protein bowls are gluten friendly! (Nothing is certified gluten free for celiacs). The ambiance is clean and modern with floor ceiling windows making it feel very open. My glambabies picked this spot for lunch because they love this place! Enjoyable lunch. Good, healthy, delicious food as expected from Cafe Zupas! I enjoyed the Nourish Bowl. LOVED roasted chicken, sweet potatoes, roasted cauliflower, and various fruits , goat cheese over a bed of arugula and wild rice. My friend loved the turkey bacon avocado on focaccia bread. We both enjoyed unsweetened iced tea with our meals. Lots of light and spacious seating. I loved the robust flavors of housemade New England crab salad, hass avocado, applewood-smoked bacon, tomatoes & muenster cheese. I've never had Muenster cheese before, it was soft with subtle mild, buttery flavor and I'd say even with an itty-bitty tangy finish. Loved the fresh-baked Italian ciabatta bread too, sooo good. For lunch I ordered the cup of soup and salad combo - with the cauliflower cheddar soup and thai chicken salad. Both were good, nothing out of this world - I would say Panera is better. I love the concept (soup, salad, and sandwiches). The menu board is a bit overwhelming and I wish the ingredients were listed. Maybe they should have some more detailed menus available while you wait in line. I like the two item combo which also comes with a roll and a chocolate covered strawberry. It's almost too much food! I have enjoyed all of the soups I have tried but the sandwiches have been a bit of a let down. I think it s the bread for me, it's too soft and gets soggy easily. This was really a great experience. First impression was what a clean facility. Then almost immediately we were greeted by the staff. Everyone was very friendly and polite. Great looking choices of bowls, sandwiches and soups. After deciding what we wanted, we had a different bowl. I had the Mediterranean and my daughter had the harvest bowl and then we both shared an avocado club sandwich. Everything looked fresh and delicious. We were extremely happy with the flavor of the bowls and the sandwich. Really nice touch was a complementary chocolate dip, strawberry and fresh bread that came with the bowls and sandwich. this is my first time visiting, but definitely not my last. in fact, maybe my new favorite place for lunch. Their mushroom bisque and their red pepper and lobster soups are my absolute favorites. I like their seasonal/autumn bowls. I also really love their salads with strawberries. The dinner roll and chocolate-dipped strawberry might just be the most indulgent parts of the meal. I love this place! Walking into a new restaurant, at least new to me, and seeing a large menu board always overwhelms me. I had an idea what kind of food I was getting into here and the simple choices of "Salad" or "Hot Bowls" made it easy but the manager Dillon made my experience a great experience, first by giving me time to decide and explaining the options I had. I decided on the "Quinoa Bowl" with a red pepper dressing and instead of the traditional meat protein I chose avocados. It was great. I loved it!!!! The soft roll and the strawberry dipped in chocolate was a good accompaniment to the meal. Dillon asked how we liked it and after we gave him 2 thumbs up he bussed our tray and thanked us for coming. I used to love Zupas, though I haven't been there in a while. I preordered a try 2 combo. The price was significantly higher than last time I ordered, which is the same as everywhere. but what really disappointed me was the quality of the salad. It was 95% lettuce with about three pieces of chicken, two tomatoes and a small piece of avocado. It's supposed to be high-protein, but there's no way it can be with the meager ingredients they add. This used to be a "go to" spot when shopping or doing casual business in the area. The staff, including the manager (an FSU guy) were friendly and relatively stable and the food was fine...prepared with an "above fast food care" level. Based on the last few visits (I've not interest in returning), something has definitely going sideways...or should I say just plain downhill. To be fair, the 1/2 portion of mushroom bisque was the high point in spite of it being served barely warm. Then I got tagged for $0.69 for a tiny scoop of onion crisps...I had no idea that there was a charge for (literally) a teaspoon of canned crisps. The roll, usually tasty, was COLD not just on the surface, all the way through. I had the Brisket Grilled Cheese. It was so salty it was actually inedible. The "brisket," or what was once brisket, was burnt, greasy, stringy and had obviously been sitting in a pan/warmer for way too long. By the way, I just looked at the pic of the sandwich on their website. Compare that stylized version to the one attached to my Yelp review...not even close! Not even their spanking new chocolate dipped Oreo could overcome such a disaster. Yup, the strawberries are long gone. Staff? No way could I get a smile from the cashier. We hung around for a while after finishing part of the lousy meal and had no visit asking about our lunch from a manager or other team member. I did, however, hear about a new manager coming from Eden Prairie...good luck to that person and a mystery why a supervisor/manager would blab such news to other guests in the restaurant. Poorly trained and amateurish. Anyway, I'm tired of whining about the place and, big surprise, won't recommend or visit it again. Such a disappointment from what was a decent place. read more

The food and price are great, but service seems to be inconsistent. Noticed whenever we stop in later in the evening the staff is slower and don't pay attention to our order. I can understand making a mistake if they're busy, but if we're only people in line placing an order? My partner ordered the 2 combo with a sandwich and salad. I just ordered a soup. Didn't noticed until we got home the sandwich was missing. Since we didn't have time to swing back to get the missing sandwich I called to see if they would at least refund the charge. I explained what happen and the guy thought he put me on hold. Could hear him asking the other workers how refund the charge... I heard them all say they didn't know. Eventually he noticed I wasn't on mute and was on hold for 8 mins. Someone else answered and I had to repeat my issue. Overall, it wasn't worth the hassle for a simple order. ***Update: Noticed later they luckily didn't charge for the sandwich. This is a simple but trendy salad and soup place. They are built for processing a large volume of customers. In theory. I have been here before and that was true. Latest time on a weekend day there was a lot of standing around doing nothing while the salad dude worked by himself. Reminded me of China, ie, worker inefficiency. Lol. I had originally rated this four stars, but now realize the large salad I paid for was more like a half, and explains why I was so hungry. I note the other photos people posted are noticeably larger. I will have to watch that in the future. I like to order their combos and let them make it per the posted calories. It is very good as-is. My wife gets it free form. Zupas is normally so great, but this zupas in particular had me leaving extremely disappointed with the service and food. I ordered the "Pick 2 combo" with a half salad and sandwich. The salad here was noticeably smaller than any of the other salads I've ever had at any zupas, but the food tasted as zupas normally does. My biggest complaint about this place is the service. I was served the wrong sandwich (ordered a bacon, avocado, turkey sandwich but received an Italian ?). When I told the employee that took my order it was the wrong sandwich, he blamed me and said I ordered the Italian. They did take back the Italian and make me the sandwich I ordered, but the way that situation was handled left me feeling unsatisfied read more

If you are looking for a high quality lunch then look no further than Cafe Zupa. All the food they serve is fresh and very flavorful. With this being a new spot it is very very busy. If you have only a half hour for lunch maybe not look to Cafe Zupa around noon. The best bang for your buck is their pick two combo. For a little under $10 I got a full sandwich, half portion of soup, a small roll, and a chocolate covered strawberry. Let me tell you right now. It was amazing! The soup I tried was the potato and green chili. It was the most flavorful and amazing soup ever! For sandwich I tried their turkey, bacon, avocado and it was a very decent sandwich. Well Cafe Zupa is a fairly new concept fast food...?i recall seeing one in Woodbury never tried it but now it's closer and on an otherwise boring Saturday we stopped in. Lobster bisque for my wife with a Cali Cobb salad. I went with the tomato basil soup and Strawberry harvest salad. Absolutely delicious and all in with tax one small tea and my wife with water $34.57 with tax. Huge amount we had large salads and soups and it was more than we could finish came with two small chocolate dipped strawberries and 4 each small rolls.
