Ordered from here through doordash ordered the pesto and my dish was swimming in sauce. To the point, the noodles were so mushy and gross. I couldn't even eat it. I called the store to let them know. And because I ordered it through DoorDash the manager couldnt give me the time of day and said you have to go through DoorDash. Sorry, good night and hung up on me. Don't think we will be going back to Panera again anytime soon. We've had a couple not great experiences at this chain ... but I think tonight kind of terminated my desire to ever eat there again. I ordered the Caprese Chicken sandwich -- and it came out with NO CHICKEN. So I took it back to the counter and waited while they got chicken for me. My friend ordered the same sandwich (also came out with no chicken). So I went to the front to let a manager know that this sandwich was being consistently made incorrectly. She said 'yes, that happens a lot-- if you want chicken on it you need to tell the cashier to put it in the notes.' So I asked 'then why is the name of this sandwich Caprese Chicken???' Not one person in our party had their food come out the way we ordered it. The one positive was that the staff was very nice -- not especially together this evening -- but very nice. read more

Panera on $15. I was able to get some pastries for my break recently. When they're done the right way, they are delicious. Now I tend to group pastries into one category, not bread. I had a Kitchen sink cookie. The contents of the cookie were varied, hence the name. I got pretzels. Chocolate, but no nuts. Chocolate croissant was crispy and not too sweet. It's made with dark chocolate and the way it's cooked turned out great. It's called a sweet but it's truly not all that sweet. The last thing I was able to try was a a blueberry muffin. Since every oven is just a little bit different, I have to say that I've perfected them. Crispy where they should be, but just right elsewhere. The food at Panera bread is a hidden gem that many haven't discovered. I work there as a baker and I haven't tried all their products. We get breaks and I take that time to explore. Panera deserves credit for occupying a unique spot in the fast-casual pantheon. They want you to see them as a bakery with a lot of high-quality food offerings. And you should see them that way because that's what they are. The food here is invariably high-quality. The menu is populated largely with deli fare such as sandwiches, salads, and soups. I like their macaroni & cheese, and when I get a sandwich here, such as the Heritage Ham & Swiss, the Cuban, and the Bacon Turkey Bravo, it is never mediocre. The sandwiches are TOTALLY on point. And clearly they're not messing around about being a bakery, because it's always served on fresh, soft, delicious bread. They offer a coffee subscription! Sometimes I can be a sucker for "subscriptions", especially when they literally are giving it away for the first three months. So I'm trying that, even though I'm only sort of "meh" on coffee in general, and also even though it's currently so hot in Minnesota that why would you be thinking about coffee. So the coffee is fine, they have a few varieties and I like the hazelnut one. Their dining room is open as of early July, 2020. At this West St Paul location, people are in there dining and chilling out as if it's 2019 or something. I don't do that; instead I order ahead and pick it up from their shelf. This location always forgets things like sugar packets or a knife to spread the cream cheese on the bagel, even when I specifically remind them about that in the instructions. I would like them to be better about that. The last time I went I got a cookie thing for $1.99 which tasted okay but I wrongly expected something larger than a Double Stuf Oreo. Prices in general are pretty high, so be prepared for that. But if you like this kind of food, you'll probably agree that they do a good job of making it be yummy. read more

And don't even talk about my bfs pizza omfg like maybe y'all should take a class from dominos on how to make a pizza box that ain't gonna cave on on the whole entire pizza. As well as the service has never been bad at all. although today I decided to get Panera for a quick lunch before hockey and while eating with my friend, she found a hair in her sandwich. we thought it was gross since it was blonde and we are both brunette, but we tried to put it past us and keep eating. So, this is my favorite neighborhood spot. I've yet to be disappointed in what I've eaten here. I use the app to order ahead so that I can just grab and go. If you're in their rewards program, you can get some tasty perks, though I never end up getting my free bagel the ENTIRE MONTH that it's offered. If you use the app, you can include bakery items. They have this wonderful raisin bread that will add from time to time, so that we have something at home. I've also purchased a quart of their chicken soup for my son when he was ill. I don't have a lot of time to give to chicken soup, so Panera being nearby and having delicious soup saved the day. There isn't anything in particular that I get, except the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad. I have a hard time not ordering this with whatever else I'm getting. I love sweet and savory, and this salad is perfectly balanced in that way. The dressing isn't too much, either. I actually haven't even had any other of their salads. The sandwich I've gotten the most is the Roasted Turkey & Avocado BLT and the Bacon Turkey Bravo Sandwich. They're delicious and the bread on these sandwiches is soft in the mouth without becoming doughy. I'm making myself hungry thinking about it now. You've probably heard that all of their food is clean. It's a good thing. I'm not sure how things will play out now that they've been purchased by some conglomerate, so we'll have to stay tuned. Service was fine, nothing special. I got the Power Chicken Hummus salad. It was good but nothing overly special. They should include more spinach in the bowl. My aunt ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. It was not toasted in the least and was the most disgusting sandwich I've ever seen. Staff never come to my table. #soconfused My bowl of chicken wild rice soup was small and watery; it struck me as having been reheated in a batch that comes frozen or chilled in a large plastic bag, as thawing produces a watery constitution. Dining in, I was served a toasted bagel with a butter knife, and watery cream cheese in a plastic cup with a sealed lid. Spreading cream cheese onto a bagel isn't my job: that's your job. In short, Panera Bread cuts corners, and, accordingly, I don't respect the corporation. (And this location plays annoying 1990s adult contemporary music loudly. I hadn't been to Panera in years, but my dining companion now raves about this place and there wasn't anything enticing in the D'Amico case at Target, so I thought I would give it a try. I stopped in and got the pick 2 or whatever it's called. I had the chicken tortilla soup and half Chicken Cuban Panini. The line was long and there was only one person running the register at the height of the lunch hour, so I'm irked right away. It took longer to order than to get my food. Now I know why - where's the chicken? Calling it a Chicken Cuban Panini is pushing it. 1 1/2 chicken slices doesn't a chicken sandwich make. The sandwich was hot but overpowered by mustard and pickles, both of which I enjoy, and slapped together in haste. The soup had tons of cilantro floating on the top. I checked the menu after getting back to the office and I did not see cilantro being described in the soup. I tried to eat around it, but that is almost impossible. Although the bread is good and I enjoyed the apple I got with my meal, I think for almost $9 I personally would have been better off going to Subway. read more

When here for a big lunch in FEB and we ordered up macaroni and panini and a few other things on the menu.. let me start by saying the line was long.. We also had the issue where only one person was at the register.. Our order took about 20 min to come out .. that was not a problem we ordered lots of food.. to be honest the food was not that great.. we could of eaten at a 5 star restaurant for the cost of our big lunch.. the macaroni and cheese was good .. omg it was heavy and fill me up quick.. the other food was ok.. as far as the bread it was nothing special.. i can get a better quality bread at bread smiths . The place is filled with lots of health food nuts thinking that the food is more healthier for them. Nawww....I have been here about four times with a wide range of experiences but mostly bad. The food has been pretty consistent except a sandwich which they totally got wrong and when i took it back and told them, they politely argued with me until I point blank told them...There are no apples on here!!! Its supposed to be apples, cheddar, and turkey.....There response " I see Caramelized onions."...OK but NO APPLES!! They then ask me? Would you like us to make you a new one?...UMMMM...YES!!!! I'm a tuna salad sandwich gal, and have bought this at this location many times, because it is convenient and "looks" good in pictures. However, I get stiffed at this place and am through with them. Once I received my sandwich on incredibly dried up bread, and the manager was nasty about acknowledging that it needed to be replaced. The last two times I went, my sandwich had only a tiny blob of tuna salad on it, so that most of the sandwich was just bread and salad greens. It is impossible that it had the 37 grams of protein claimed, with such a tiny portion of tuna on it. When I use the national website to complain, all I get is a stupid response saying I've been given a reward. I don't want a sugary donut, no thank you. What jerks. Also stingy is the fact that I choose an apple as the side, and they give me a partially ripe miniature apple that is about three inches in diameter. Been eating here for a week and have had a good experience with their rapid order, but the other day I got the pick two menu and I decided to try the Baja Mac & Cheese. The picture shows a good amount of avocado, but when I picked up the order and got back to work the soup had one half of avocado and a little meshed other half. So I guess that counts as one only.
